Dear Seashoreknits: Thanks for the Blake - it's perfect. "I must seek for mine" - what a great line. Isn't that what life is? A search for peace? And of course that is the theme of the video (though not blindingly obvious, perhaps) - our own going to rest, that night and every night, and of course to our final rest into the soft darkness. The music was written by one of the monks here. He based it on an inversion of one of the melodic themes from Vaughn Williams’ “Larks Ascending,” but it really stands as its own piece, in my opinion. He used an orchestral sample library to arrange and produce it. It really is a lovely piece of music. I ‘m glad you noticed it. Unfortunately for us, but I’m sure well within God’s plan, his journey took him past us. - Fr. Lawrence
