The claymation bumpers from the 80s were my favorite by far, but I also find it funny how until the late 90's-early 2000's the purpose was to cushion a commercial break, whereas 1 Saturday Morning prioritized telling you what network you were watching. This is around the time that Children's TV at a whole went completely corporate. Look what happened to Nickelodeon, for example. Yesterday I watched a video they uploaded of THE MIGOS performing at the KID'S CHOICE AWARDS!!! I really feel bad for kids now. I think a lot of 70's-80's kids (including myself) don't realize how good they had it.
Clearly you spent some quality time putting this together. Thank you for your hard work! I loved it! Particularly the early stuff. That took me back in time to my childhood. Wintery Saturday mornings, fighting with my brothers over who gets the couch and finally settling in with a steaming bowl of Maple and Brown Sugar oatmeal! That was awesome! Thank you!
This makes me want to cry. I miss those days so much. Everything was better then. I also miss those days for personal reasons as well. Wish I could go back to the 1990's.
TheSsbcandidates I especially want to go back since my father would still be alive. Ever since his death I have been wanting to turn back time to spend more time with him, especially towards the end when he was reaching out to spend time with but I was too busy with girlfriend and working that I didn't take the time to spent the quality time with my father before his death. I took those days for granted and now I wish I could have them back.
CF-105 Games I feel you, my mother died of cancer in late 2011 and it sure has affected me. Dad still alive but he is so..., I dunno not supportive. I tried to tell him of the bad and illegal things my boss is doing but he did not want to listen and blamed it on me, and doesn't want for me to tell authorities. I miss the 80s and early 90s, cartoons and entertainment media just took for worse since 1995. Wish the ACT got canned.
Wow!!! It's been 11 years since ABC had awesome Saturday Morning cartoons! Awesome bumper collection & I loved Mr. Bumpy & Bump In The Night! ABC needs to make cartoons again seriously! Keith, thank you for the sweet memories!
Keith, you the man dog! I mean you just wrapped up my whole childhood, teen years and younger days, in less than five minutes, man. I haven't seen some of these bumpers in almost forty years. Sure brings back some nice memories of better days. Thanks man. Keep up the good work.
I have the "Bump in the Night" bumpers (1994-96), but I'll plan on doing a special on the history of ABC Saturday Morning bumpers. There were a few "AM Posse" bumpers in one of the videos. I might be adding it very soon. I missed Saturday morning TV back where they were showing the "Bugs Bunny & Tweety" which is my favorite.
On HamptonroadsTVFan, they got full screen ABC ''AM Posse'' bumpers than Andregrindle. For instance, On the February 1, 1991 Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show commercial block 1, this bumper featured the gang singing ''After These Messages, We'll Be..'' then they disappeared and sang, ''...Right...'' and then they appear again and sang, ''...Back.''
In the February 1, 1992 Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show commercial block 3 and December 7, 1991 Winnie The Pooh commercial block, The ABC ''AM Posse'' kids are singing, ''After These Messages, We'll Be Right Back.'' in the car.
On HamptonRoadsTVFan in the February 1, 1992 Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show Commercial Block 2(Halftime), The ABC bumper showed the ''AM Posse'' kids singing, ''After These Messages, We'll Be...'' and then the kids turn around showing their logo on their jackets and then they sang, ''Right Back.''
In the February 1, 1992 Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show Commercial Block 4 and credits and December 7, 1991 commercial block 2, this bumpers shows the ''AM Posse'' singing, ''After These Messages...'' at the end on the back of the car the sign says, ''We'll Be Right Back'' and the kids are singing the rest of the same words.
Thank you so much for uploading this. I am looking for the abc Saturday morning where it was the same tune as the bumps at 0:58-1:00. I think it was a cartoon book that opened and there was a woman [animated] who "unfolded" out of the page and I think folded back into it. It lloked mid to late 70s and was used into the late 80s/early 90s. I know it's crazy to look for but I REALLY loved the way it was animated lol! I'm on the look out! Loved traversing down abc memory lane!
In the February 1, 1992 Winnie The Pooh Commercial Block 2, The ''AM Posse'' graffiti logo is on the brick wall and the kids sang, ''After These Messages We'll Be Right Back''.
The Claymotion Bumper second run was from September 12, 1992 to September 11, 1993, not from 1991 to 1995. From September 18, 1993 to September 3, 1994, the Bump in the Night Bumpers ran until the What-a-Mess bumpers took its place from September 10, 1994 to August 31, 1996.
1987, also the year speed limits over 55 were allowed for the first time since 1974. on rural interstates anyway. 50-55 in the urban interstates still applied though.
Why don't you tell the owners of WildBrain on RU-vid to post All Full Episodes from What A Mess (1995) and Bump in The Night (in English Dubbed) on RU-vid?! 😒
Too bad The repeats of cancelled Disney Channel shows like Lizzie McGuire and That's So Raven killed the Saturday Morning lineup. It overstayed its welcome.
