Hello from Waterville Maine, I saw a partial eclipse and have to say it was pretty amazing!! To be a part of that with so many people across the country was such agreat feeling. I also had the pleasure of sitting in my backyard for it. How great is that!!

One of my hobbies as a young teenager was building plastic model kits. My parents were concerned that I was doing so to huff model glue! The glue was coincidental. Many just snapped together. Then came the paint and decals. I won ribbons at the county fair, so I wasn't that bad.:)

Here in the westernmost tip of Texas, El Paso, Tx. we experienced 85% totality! Wishing we had had totality, but nevertheless, it seemed surreal! We had some light cloud cover, but during our partial eclipse the sunlight dimmed sooo much that it seemed as if we had a very, very thick layer of storm clouds, which we rarely have! It got nice and cool. Even the swarms of honey bees on my blossoming bushes disappeared during our partial eclipse! Then later, as our partial eclipse ended, they all came back and swarmed again over our bushes’ blossoms! What an awesome celestial sight and beautiful, wonderful day!!! Thank you God!!!❤️👍🙏🏼🌅

I have a stray kitty that shows up every evening about 20 minutes before dark. I wondered today before the eclipse would she show up early during the eclipse and sure enough when it got noticeably darker she showed up looking to be fed. After a short time it started getting lighter and she went away but showed back up in a few hours just before dark.

We didn't get "totality" here in my South Texas hometown. We got 97.7 darkness, though. We had a cloudy day throughout the morning and in the afternoon. Our sky got a little dark for a couple of minutes, too, though. It seemed more like it was about to rain than a regular eclipse. Our cloudy sky got darker, at around 1:35 pm Central Time. It seemed like dusk or dawn. Thanks ABC NEWS for your live coverage of the 2024 Solar Eclipse. It was lots of fun and very educational to watch. I had nothing else to do, anyway !!! LOL 😎
