We’re decently far away but the fires are in the Oklahoma Texas panhandle. Earlier crews were searching for a family trapped in their basement by the fires. So underground might not be the option I’d choose. But these winds are so fierce the fires are circle wrapping. It’s terrifying.

Wendy's "fast food" restaurant will lose customers FAST when they raise prices for standing in line to buy their food. They should give the customers discounts during peak times for standing in long lines instead.

Fast food is crap. But secretly I love it. Wendy's? Haven't been there in 5 years. It's OK, but if I'm going to eat crap food, I vote for In 'N Out or old school Arby's (unfortunately only one within a 15-minute drive). But what I love is Del Taco. Now that I'm not working 80 hours a week, I don't eat this crap, but I do miss it, but I like that I'm 50 lbs. lighter than when I was working, plus what I eat is way better, but few of us have the time to properly prepare meals.

Im about 20 miles from from the fires here in West Texas, in literally looks like hell on earth driving through there. Weird thing it gets windy here alot and we have never had a fire this big, not even little ones in a very long time.

It’s crazy. Upper eighties yesterday and dropping back into the thirties right now. The Oklahoma wind is unbelievable here. But I’m sure that odd summer in winter day inspired people to be outside burning and grilling surrounded by winter dead trees and grass.

Almost 70 yesterday in northern lower Michigan. We got only 2 shovel worthy snowfalls this winter. We're going to have fire threats this spring ... All the dead grass and leaves and the possibility of another abnormally dry spring. Our woods haven't burned since about 1904 or so. Way to much deadfall and dead standing trees out there. It's scary, just a matter of time. My great great aunt and her children died in the Metz fire when their railroad car derailed due to the fire warping the rails.

Dry conditions combined with high winds. The last time they had an fire this bad was when my grandmother was an child. It burned up whole communities that don't exist anymore and burned so hot that there wasn't anything left the coffins in the ground burned up . That was over 90 years ago. They barely escaped in a covered wagon lost everything.

So what qualifies as "peak times"? I'm sure if alone to the business that can be a large timeframe, and also unregulated. And what other industries are going to think they can no less than price gouge customers because the business itself doesn't want to hire the appropriate staffing and resources. Can police fine citizens larger amounts due to inconvenience to them? What about hospitals? What about Uber drivers? This is fucking ridiculous; I'm glad I don't shop at Wendy's anyways.

Wendy's is desperate, and if they carry out their plan of charging higher prices during peak hours, they might as well close all of their locations. Customers have too many other fast food restaurants to choose from! They will drive out of their way to buy food somewhere else rather than paying higher prices! Wendy's will be cutting their own throats.

Like the boy who cried wolf, it'll happen for sure one day when all forms of pensions will suddenly stop. Those having caused it escaped to live in other countries.
