The Red Ultras can stand free forever , you guys are so special and thank you for what you do week in week out . Every week young ones do what they do and thats a great thing . Thanks for making me feel young again
I was 11 at the time of the ECWC Final, I was in Gothenburg, and until I went on another Euro away day 10 years later, I never appreciated how good 1983 was. I've even been to the Champions League Final in Moscow, and it was a hell of a game, but Gothenburg ranks above that. Why......because it was never meant to happen. And THAT'S why evertime I see this final, I cry......not just a tear, but I well up, because we'll never see anything close to this as long as we live. Best tribute I've seen
Absolutely fan-bloody tastic. oh how I wish I could go back in time and relive those moments again. You just couldn't beat the atmosphere of the beachend before those bloody seats were fitted. The King Joey harper yrs followed by the early 80's yrs were the best football yrs of my life. Wouldn't it be great if Mark Magee could bring a little of that magic back?
Mkkm7 thanks , i was a wee kid 9 years old when we took the cup, i still remember the goals and the time even though i was 9 years old. The joy and pasion will always live with me till i die and thats what it is all about , one night one match and a moment in history i will never forget. Stand Free
Fair comment.... I always loved Celtic coming to town in the 80's because their support was immence, the colour, the singing, and they went wild when the Celts scored....not that I ever liked watching that! But it was a spectacle...... Hail Hail
Im an Aberdeen fan, im only 17 and I have only witnessed utter dissappointment and quite a few 'almosts' in my life as an aberdeen fan. I am completely jealous of those Aberdeen fans who, in the 80's, were witnessing our team winning 3 spl titles, 4 scottish cups, 2 league cups, the european cup winners cup, and the european super cup. I on the other hand have only seen a short-lived but okay run in the uefa cup and several semi-final defeats. Im sure though, one day, the glory days will return.
Only 5,812 views at time of this comment. Can we not share this with the world via the net and e-mail and get the numbers up. This is one of the best vids on You Tube and I have watched a lot. Let's go for a million hits before xmas. C'mon you reds!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was at the final in Gothenburg and the home and away Bayern Munich Games - Happy, Happy Days!!!!!! Was a season ticket holder for many years, now live away fae aberdeen - would love to see these days return!!!!
I'm a Celtic & Scotland fan (we don't all support Ireland!) but this Aberdeen team was special. So many talented players, strong characters and a great manger. I personally want teams like Aberdeen to compete against the old firm, it makes for a more interesting leauge and would improve overall standards within the Scottish game. That is a well put together vid too.
As a Dundee fan I loved when Aberdeen use to go through to Glasgow and regularly beat the O.F. It's just a pity it doesn't happen now. Anyway, great show against Bayern last night and all the best in the 2nd.leg.
