it was the nobles who were involved in the slave trade in Aberdeen, there was also a white slave trade. Peter Williamson story is when children couldn't go near Aberdeen for fear of being kidnapped and sold to the plantations in America.
Didn't watch. Did she mention the thousands of white slaves held then shipped from the Green in Aberdeen? The book "White Cargo" does a pretty good exposition of the hundreds of thousands of white slaves shipped out of Britain to the new world.
Not sure how old you are or if Scotland education is different but we where taught about brioart in the slave trade the west indies etc in the 1970s and junior school
