Nice to have a pretty young lady who knows her stuff impart her opinion through ones phone. The reviews are very chilled and relaxing. I really enjoy them. 😊

I love my Aberlour 12 unchillfiltered at 48%. I will probably stay away from the 14, don't wanna ruin a good thing. I'm sure it's pleasant... but I think there's a great chance the NCF 12 is far better.

Yh, that nose is quite challenging. There's something almost industrial about it that seemed familiar but I couldn't place, almost like boot polish. Then I remembered where I'd experienced it before - in Glen Scotia Double Cask. The Aberlour 14 is a strange one, those heavy aromas contrasting oddly with the blackberry notes and, for a 40%er, it can take a lot of water (which calms down that oily tone). Glad to have tried it but don't think I'll be revisiting it. Good review, thanks!

Sherry cask maturation seem to often give a bit of a chemical note for me as well! Haven't tried it with water yet, but will definitely try it next time :)

I like Aberlour. Very nice sherrywhisky. But are they going to have 12,14 and a16 year in their core range ? Wonder if the 14 year are going to be for sale in Sweden. Nice reweiw as Always 👍

Thank you for watching! As far as I know it’s going to be 12, 14, 16 and 18 as age statements in the core range. I’m not sure how Systembolaget works with getting new releases in but fingers crossed ☺️

Just ordered 2 bottles ..you convinced me. Oranges, strawberries ... wood. Sounds great. Alert don't by this its a watery dram for beginners The A'bunadh is a good drop so can't go wrong Does Sweden have any distilleries. ? I'm confused as I'm sure you have a Scottish accent.

I hope you’ll enjoy it! Let me know your thoughts when you’ve tried it? There’s quite a few distilleries in Sweden - would recommend checking out High Coast and Mackmyra for example ☺️ I’ve live in Scotland for the past 6 years so maybe I’ve picked up a slight Scottish touch on some words but I’m Swedish born and raised 🇸🇪

Swedish whiskey girl. Now let me say this it's not a great whiskey ..it's very average. It's not a touch on the A'bunadh or some of the other drams from Aberlour and it's all about ABV. It just doesn't have the alcohol to carry the flavours and is rather weak and insipid. Sure its smooth, but it's watery. I should have known @ 40% ..I gave away one of the bottles so at least someones happy. don't buy it.

@@stihlnz oh I’m sorry to hear that it wasn’t to your liking! Personally I really liked the balance between the 40% abv and the flavours as I usually find the A’Bunadh to be a little bit overpowered by its high alcohol content. Have you tried any whisky from the Glenlivet Nadurra range? Perhaps they would suit your palate if you already like the A’Bunadh 🥃

@@swedishwhiskygirl Whiskey taste can be a very subjective thing, however with obvious exceptions that you can address in the comments/video we should all agree that 46% ABV, non chill filtered and no added colour should be a base line for a recommended whiskey. I belong to a whiskey club where the personnel tastes are all very different. We had a quorum and the opinion to my disappointment was that they all said Meh! to this dram. I have the 16yr Nadurra @ cask strength, which is more to my liking than this ..with water and for some of the monsters out there I do add more. Good luck to you and your journey, a lesson learn't here.
