I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

Thanks for taking a glimpse behind the scenes with us - it was kinda hectic, but hopefully it gave somewhat of an idea of the work involved. I might make an in depth developer deep dive on the history, and exactly how everything worked and how it was made for those interested. But before that, I want to publicly release Normality, with guides on how to activate the sequences like the space vista, and the explosion of the ark. Unfortunately, It won't work very well as a survival map, due to no creature spawns and lack of resources. I don't plan to make it fully playable for survival, at least not anytime soon. I'll also release the mod content we used, stuff like that prototype jetpack and tek undersuit. But that might be a bit after Normality, because I need to fix and polish them all up a bit to be better suited for a real game and not filming. Regardless, stay tuned, we'll begin working on chapter 2 in a couple weeks, and hopefully I'll get the mod content released before then for you all to enjoy while you wait.

Neddy and his team never cease to amaze me. I've said it before and I believe it more now than ever; Wildcard will never be able to top what Neddy has done with the survival stories.

I'm interested to see what wildcard will do with the animated series. Regardless, we'll likely always be the ones who told the original in-game story much better than they ever did. Still, without their foundation, illustrations, story, (and buggy explorer note collection) this wouldn't exist. so you've got to give them some credit.

Always surprises me what the Ark community is capable of. Whether it be Neds lore cinematics, high quality mods like Ark Additions or the Paleo Ark series they always find a way of impressing me. Even if the whole map isn’t 100% detailed this still looks like a lot of work. I can’t wait to see what kind of things they’ll do in Ark 2, given that Ark 2 seems from the start to be going the extra mile.

I could've just scrubbed a dense forest down, with some rocks and mushrooms and called it day, Normality done. But that would've been boring, so I made the map how it is instead, possibly to our own dismay because it took so long

@@evokermia I remember the HLN-A notes about aberration, and it should be like a heaven (with the exclusive creatures of aberration in) like your jungles, I imagined something like in the SE ascension, the ark where we should go, green, with jungles but more tropical like yours or the lost island ones Also, do you want to make this map playable?

@@maximleijh7239 once I release it sometime soon, it'll technically be playable, but definitely not a fun experience in survival. No dino spawns and lack of resources. I don't plan to make it 'playable' for survival any time soon. We've still got to finish the rest of the chapters. Regardless, you can still look around the map, and I'll provide guides on how to activate and watch all the sequences. once it publicly releases though

I wish that this was how the actual playable events of the game went. It would be so much cooler if you started on a working aberration and the overseer fight ending cutscene was the destruction of aberration and afterwards you wake up in aberration proper!

The problem with that is you would only have 1 life. No respawn. That was what Helena did in Extinction so you could try again and again, learn and evolve :D

Imagine when a ARKpocalypse map wipes that the dome goes down and the sun rises on it like they put together for their video to destroy everything. That would be an epic ending to a server. Or a map that transitions like they did in the video where you have to migrate underground. Great cinematic but I want to actually play a map like that now lol

Ark is a beautiful game, but if you explore the lore, it gets very sad. This is the best example for it. Such a beautiful Ark we cannot experience ourselves cus it got destroyed. Just imagine we had Aberration like this. The map is already beautiful itself, but with this, it would be so much better. We wouldn't have to always wait for the night so that we can go to the surface and after that look out for the Reapers. Just having a beautiful green land, and next to it the caves we know. I mean, we have Fjordur, which has green lands and an Aberration cave system, but it's not this big. If we had that Aberration, it surely would ne the best map ever.

Hey Raas! I'm one of the body actors and builders (I also named a lot of the dinos/NPCS) for Neds series and I can tell you this map was SO fun to play on! It was truly amazing to see how it all worked too! It was super super fun to work with Golden, Ned, Ness, and everyone else too! The amount of dedication and love we all have for ARK made it all so fun to act out and play!

This is so cool, I always loved the idea of alternate universe maps, where it's the same experience but remixed, like with new and rearranged biomes and maybe some new creatures. This is taking it to the extreme. This would also be awesome for like a post story map where it's aberration after it lands on earth, and the ark is healing itself
