@@sancho8521 Jean-Luc Ponty only plays violin on It Must Be a Camel. Sugarcane Harris is playing on Willie the Pimp and The Gumbo Variations. On the Weasels album, Sugarcane plays violin and sings lead on Directly From My Heart to You.
christine frka was on the cover and frank liked her the most of the GTOs. she had a tough life and died young, but also had the most creative fashion sense
Abby, did you know that today, Oct. 10, is the actual 55 Anniversary of the release of that album? Interesting fact: Hot Rats and the debut album by King Crimson dropped the same day. People knew of Zappa for at least 3 years since the release of Freak Out! in 1966. King Crimson was likely only known in England when that legendary screaming face album cover made its way into history. I wonder how long it took King Crimson to outsell Hot Rats. Probably not long. Both are epic albums anyway. Arf arf!
Sweet. While 60 seconds here is glorious it’s the 55 year journey that has us looking at perpetually revealing the layers of artistic creativity of Hot Rats LP and Frank Zappa’s Hot Rats Performance Model.
One of Frank's great master pieces hot rats I've must of played this album to death beef heart is just the best frank I've missed so much but thank God we have his recordings and dweezle s band is still keeping this wonderful music alive if nothing else frank was just a neat ass looking dude got turned on to frank in 66 hot rats is an evergreen I'm 72still a fan forever!!!
You've got great taste ! Frankie's take on today's political situation would be much appreciated. I wonder what musical madness he would be up to at this stage
