Hi everyone! Hope you enjoy this quick video on a basic Trap Beat. In the future I'll make a video on how to add in some 808 to fill out the bottom end! CHEERS FOR WATCHING!
Very useful, i’ve been using Reason for a year and not been able to get the hang of making beats in ableton yet, hoping to use this technique now, thank you
This comment seems stupid looking at it now. I was wondering if there was a way to make the line by dragging. It looks like he does in the video. I know you can use the points to make a line
Thanks man! I learned a few things from this like automating the hats. Throwing a sample over it at the end was a nice touch. The very first sample I grabbed off Splice fit perfectly in my project tonight.
Great video, I wanted to check some trap beat to make some comedy trap and now you upload it! Btw, the kick seems to be too short for the typical trap nowadays.
You probably have the computer midi keyboard enabled. At the top right of the screen, there's a little pencil icon. Next to that, there's the little keyboard icon that enabled your laptop keyboard to be assigned actual musical notes. Since it's turned on when you click 'a' it triggers the NOTE of C. You have to turn the keyboard icon off (you could click the 'm' key as well). Now, clicking 'a' to view automation should work. However, there's still another method to turn automation on. Above all the tracks, there's the word "Set." Underneath that there's a box with a line connected by two circles. Click that box and you'll be able to view automation in each of your tracks.
