Hi there, I’m not new to production but new to Ableton. Long time Logic user now giving Ableton a try. Question, and I don’t know if this is a glitch or not but I am unable to loop my clips. I set the loop start and end from 1 to 17, click the loop button (it turns orange) but the playback just keeps going on after measure 17. Any idea what I may be doing wrong? Thanks for your videos 🙏🏻🎹🤟

I have been for two entire weeks following other first-song tutorials and let me tell you honestly that I have learned more with you in ten minutes than with the others in two weeks, literally. Not only that but you revived my motivation to learn ableton, because I was about to give up right before finding you. Thanks man.

Dude, I can't thank you enough. I don't use Ableton but I still learned a lot about music making process with this. The end about compressors helped me out big time! I've been struggling for a long time trying to understand compressors. I've read about them and watched videos and everyone would explain WHAT they are and HOW they work but you showed me WHY to use one. You gave a good practical example. Again, thanks!

Had tried Cubasis on iPad. That was a mess. So now I just bought Ableton. Had no freakin' idea where to start. So many subtle little buttons and indicators. This is a savior. It's organized. You don't waste time. And it's starting to make sense relatively quickly. Dude - Thank you!!

Boomer here :) but young at heart :) You are truly great at explaining. I did watch a lot of other videos but yours is a truly perfect blend of explaining and doing while most others either do, leaving a noob like me confuzzled, or blah blah explain without ever doing stuff. Cheers from Rome.

I have to say though that you are the best teacher on RU-vid that I've found and your videos are _truly_ for a beginner. Hey man, this is the best tutorial I 've ever seen.. It's the first time that someone makes a tutorial that you can follow perfectly with clear explanations and everything works as you explain with no gaps.. Really nice for people like me that never used tech to make music, old school guy that used to just play the songs...now I wanted to start doing the whole song by myself and it's great your tutorial. THANKS!!!

This is the most useful and informative tutorial that I've come across, thank you! I'm a long time musician, but new to DAW's and Abelton Live and this was so helpful. I got a bit stuck early on in the lesson after the drum kit was selected and inserted as a new MIDI channel. I couldn't get the kick to map over and realized it takes a double click. Thanks so much for this great tutorial!

Video series like this will help people spread art in the form of music for years to come. This is my first introduction to any kind of production, and I was very scared to dive into the material because I know how DEEEEP it is (the EQ itself will take awhile to learn), but you have eased some of my anxiety with your easy to follow instructions. I’m going to buy the software and a midi and get to work! Thank you!!

ATTENTION PEOPLE STARTING THIS: Firstly, this is a great tutorial and it will give you a lot of tools that will help you when making your own music in the future. However, you will ABSOLUTELY need to have the standard (or education version) of Ableton. If you're contemplating buying it, I would. Just bite the bullet and go for it. Having only 8 channels to work on stuff just isn't going to get you the places you need to be with any sort of music production, especially electronic. He also uses a lot of Operator, a 100 dollar plugin. You can get by fine with using the built in synths with a bandpass spinner filter, but I finally decided to buy it after around the 9th video. So yes, this video series is awesome and I really like the vibe of this guy, but you will end up spending ~$350 if you only have ableton Lite edition
