I’ve always been dubious of those key modes where everything is in the key you select. But that’s because my first few years of music education was hella scales on a saxophone 😅 so I’m really glad that it’s good for some people, hearing you’re more comfortable on pads than keys made a lightbulb go off in my head!

Pretty sure ableton had a new patch (patch 11.3.2) that put this warp algorithm into the main program to From the patch notes "Live now uses a new Auto-Warp algorithm. Both downbeat and tempo variations are more accurately analyzed, making it possible to work with longer samples and entire songs without the need for manual warping in most cases. To run the new Auto-Warp algorithm on clips within an existing Live Set, use any of the Warp From Here commands (found in the Sample Editor's context menu) from any location in a clip."

hey, what is the quality of the DAC ? is it good enough to records some guitars and vocals compared to standard audio interface ?

I needed an MPC alternative and it couldn't be a better platform for me. Push 2 is production heaven for me. I use my SP404 MK2 a LOT and that won't change, but Ableton is my ultimate sequencer and arranger. This thing will be mine. Also, like you pointed out, it's pretty much the same main features as Push 2. I legit said like 4 days ago that if they put out a Push standalone with even 80% of the accessibility as Push 2 I'd be ecstatic. I play keys for a living and the clip workflow is unprecedented speed for me. I'd take it for the ability to do just than because all I'd need is a midi controller and I'm set anywhere I go to comfortably sketch my ideas. There's no other standalone near this type of immediacy and intuitive workflow.

For everyone wondering what’s upgradable on the Push 3 Processor, harddrive & battery

ADAT is actually a huge deal for implementing mastering grade converters/mix bus/external preamps and compressors, etc

This mad fire. i think having something away from a screen and distractions is mad clutch. being on the mac or your. computer provides tm opportunity to ruin creative flow from time to time so glad to see ableton taking the right steps to have something more focused on the music process.

The most important question: Has the bug fixed in this device, when after selecting and arming a track for recording you have to press the record button twice to actually start recording(because recording doesn’t start after single press)? The bug was found about 3 years ago, and still exist in last Live’s versions.

I'm an Ableton Live user, but their business model when it comes to Push doesn't make sense to me. Since this is a standalone, does it mean u can choose to buy Push 3 or Live 11. There were lots of users who own Live Suite for yrs, and I feel like with Push they've been neglected.

Great video. I wonder if Ableton is going offer trade on deals for push 2 users. Ill have to check out the full specs to see how large the internal HD is. With people with large sample libraries, can they import their full library to the Push 3? Can't wait to see the cookup vids. Props to Ableton giving the early release.

So they are releasing a STANDALONE Push but are charging us for the Suite which is an another $600, if Akai did this YT producers would be losing their shit rgiht now lmao

with a Sound Card you can record and sample with ableton too. This is no reason at all. The biggest added Value is the MPE pad... This changes everything. Bought my push2 last year and now iam very exited. This is the push i want to buy last year...

Love this first impressions but where's the demo, didn't hear a single sound come out of it in this video, looks cool but I can't make the jump from MPC without hearing you cook up first.

How do the pads feel in comparison to the Push 2? Hoping that having to design around MPE functionality didn't affect the feel of the pads too much.

Wait your saying I can connect my Moog grandmother to my push2 and use the scale mode to play chords and simultaneously record it into ableton???? I need info on how to do this. Anyone who can help please do.

Another beta machine release. I wish they would have finished more before opening the flood gates. Not having the arranger is weird and unexpected for Ableton. That processor is suspect... nuc with no cooling... let's see how that goes in the heat and humidity outside during a performance or on stage inside with less than comfortable airflow. No ethernet... that is just dumb. You can not depend on wifi for everything... especially with performance. Inside your home in your studio that is fine. Just not thought out well in my opinion and I am surprised. The warp algorithm update is something that has been needed for a long time and I hope they extended it into live. Kinda disappointed really this is something I have been waiting for a long time. It's something that works directly with Ableton and there's no compatibility issues and I would be able to transfer my ideas over instantly without having to dump them or export them. I think I will wait a year to see where dev goes with it. Also no ability to attach a external drive is weird... 256 is nice but if I want to transfer my whole sample library that is not enough space. Also are there limitations on the internal ssd? I would immediately upgrade that to 4tb so I could dump all my sample library and never worry about it again.

Standalone is only usable with the purchased license ..... if poeple do not have purchased a "Suite" license there is no way to use it by its full potential in Standalone mode.
