Hey all. Here I talk about the buttons above & below the Push 3 screen as well as the Stop, Mute and Solo buttons. I include some basic naviation and workflows and some of the things I've found whilest using this incredible machine.
Amazing tutorial. I really like your teaching style. As a brand new beginner to this hardware I get SO much from your videos. Most other people go WAY too fast. Even if you slow down the video, they presume you know how to navigate or know the shortcuts and you get lost pretty quickly. You're a GREAT instructor. Thank you.
Thanks so much for the kind words. I too find many many gaps when viewing other vidoes (not just music tutorials) so I try my best to explain things as clearly as I can. Probably boring for the general masses but I don't care. As long as I help a few people I'm happy...
Thanks for your amazing Push Tips & Tricks 👍 You did talk about the ‚record enable‘ function if you hold down the button of a Track on your Push…but can’t see if its armed or not. Actually you can….--> When you hold down the Track Selection … look closer to the little Circle ⭕️ right next to the Tracks Name. The Circle gets ‚bolder‘ if you arm the Track. ✌️
legend, very helpful! I am using the push 3 as a controller for Abelton. In arrangement view I can trigger playback but I can't seem to figure out how to stop play back. Wondering if you knew? I thought It would be the same controls you'd use for session view. Pressing the stop button or shift, stop but that action ends up taking you back to session mode and the track continues to play in arrangement.
Hi there. Not quite sure i understand. When you say you’re trying to press the stop button i assume you’re pressing the track stop button? I.e. this will stop each track from playing but the main sequencer will still be on. I haven’t tried that yet from arrangement view. I’ll give it a try. But in terms of stopping Ableton from playing… the Play button works perfectly for me in either Session or Arrangement view…
@@inspector-tech thank you! yes you're right you just press the play button again to pause and stop, can't believe I didn't think of that first. Cheers :))
Hey... You using a Mac or Windows? You rebooted lately? Using the latest version of Live 11? It could well be a bug because I've found a couple with my Mac too. Yeah so try the reboot and ensuring Live is the most recent... I know it's a pain in the butt, but probably best to start trouble-shooting the low hanging fruit. If after that you still have the issue I would seriously complain to Ableton 'cause I find the capture button to be one of the most useful functions of Push 3.... Let me know how you get on...
@@inspector-tech yea...im running latest Live version..Controller version of Push 3...i sent Ableton a complaint...and yes CAPTURE is one of my favorite most used features as well !!!!!
@@K1KLASSIC Glad you raised this with Ableton. This should not be happening on such a mature device and software. Might take a little while but when they get back to you I find Ableton Support to be pretty good. Let's hope they get to the bottom of this and roll out some fixes/updates pretty soon.
