After complications giving birth to Annie it is understandable that Ai does not know that Annie is her daughter, Ai has always been kind to Annie in a big sister way.

Gentaro, another 10 year-old gorilla, at the zoo in Kyoto was also hand reared like Annie. They are the same age and might make a wonderful couple. They are both very playful.
I pray that will never happen. Gentaro is the worst Gorilla I ever saw, besides that other rap.ist I just forgot name. He is mean. Annie deserves a peaceful life. Someone even said Gentaro is gay. That would make so much sense! He should live in a bachelor group, with males which can fight back. It is a torture for females to put such a nasty animal into the enclosure. In the wild they would leave. Here they have to suffer.
@@winterweib are you serious. Male gorillas go through a “punk” stage from about 10-18 where their testosterone is out of control. Have you watched him with his baby brother. He is amazing. To call a gorilla that is ridiculous. These are gorillas not humans and unless you are an expert to say things like you said is just irresponsible and horrible. So disgusting!

I know and so was mine. One big mistake that we humans make a lot is we project our morals and way of feeling about their behavior as if the gorillas were humans. Which is what winterweib was doing in calling Gentaro a bully

Oh precious daddy's girl! I love gorillas, with their beautiful heart shaped noses. I'm almost sure God made them like that keeping in mind they are angels. So big but quite gentle.
Annie had a hard beginning but thanks to her protective & wonderful Father, Shabani and her doting older Brother, Kiyomasa, Annie is now a confident, strong, kind hearted & a Beautiful Gorilla Girl who I feel will be a great Mother one day. Annie is very special and I hope she is matched with a sweet and playful Silverback & females one day. I wish this Beautiful Annie every happiness in her future and cannot wait to see where she goes and hope her life is full of joy, peace and love. Thank you for sharing this video and information. Very nice Mary. Wouldn't you love to see her and Gentaro matched up? Two Gorillas near the same age and both were reared by human hands and both have adapted well and are beautiful Gorillas. Especially Genatro, I think he is the most handsome in all of Japan. His features are so evenly divided, left and right sides of his face-flawless.

They do have a lot in common, I didn't even think of the fact that they were both hand reared by humans then returned to their family. ;-) Maybe Gentaro can teach Annie his smooth Dance steps with his favorite female Keeper! Imagine them both doing his funny Hop, clap & giggle moves with their new Keeper and then teaching their babies those smooth moves! LOL! I agree! Gentaro is a beautiful Boy! I love his soft and soulful eyes. Annie is Beautiful and together they would make adorable Babies. They are both sensitive and kind but love affection and play time. Hopefully they will be matched. Time will tell. I also hope the other females in their troop will be kind.Gentaro will loving females doting on him. He will be the "Silverback-Stud" and loving life! LOL! Take care! ;-)

He will be a beautiful Silverback soon and a wonderful partner and father! Gentaro has a heart like a child. I hope he keeps some of that sweet playful nature into the future. He is very special. ;-)

Wow! Did you see that when Shabani was first reunited with AI and Annie, Ai is keeping Shabani at a distance from Annie. So cute that even with her gone for a year, from AI, after just a few short weeks, she was already attached to Annie.

2:11 Shabani was so excited to finally meet annie not, he scared her by accident, and Ai saw this and felt like he was walking too fast to her. He realized his mistake and went to the corner of the room to allow Annie to come up to him when she was ready.
Annie has Ai's eye areas, who has Nene's eye areas. Not sure about the eye itself as it's hard to tell. Annie has Shabani's everything else when it comes to face.
Annie was raised by human when was a child, the best thing is father Shabani was able to accept her first and often protect her always. Nene was more cautious about her granddaughter because she also had baby Kiyo at the time. It was because she care the son to attacked Anni. And many fans also criticize Nene a lot. I think that Nene itself should not be blamed. Not every gorilla can accept artificially raised babies into the family. She also had a baby at the time, so she was more wary of outsiders.
Agree. Once upon a time, I asked an enthusiastic fan of the Shabani family about it. Gentaro →the first child to return to Gorilla's parents in Japan Annie →the first child to return to Gorilla's group (parents + other children, females) The fan said there was such a difference in meaning.
Beautiful, AWESOME BEINGS! ITS TOO BAD THEY LOOK LIKE THERES NO PURPOSE FOR LIVING! BEING COOPED UP, NOT BEING ABLE TO GO WHERE YOU WOULD LIKE IS DIBILITATING , ESPECIALLY TO BEINGS SO CLOSE TO OUR OWN LIKENESS. ALTHOUGH I REALIZE ITS NOT SAFE FOR THEM OUT IN THE OPEN , BUT IM QUITE SURE US HUMANS COULD DESIGNATE A LARGE ENOUGH PLACE WHERE THEY COULD LIVE FREE & SAFE , THE WORLD IS A VERY LARGE PLACE, & PLENTY OF ROOM TO DESIGNATE AN AREA FOR THE WILDLIFE THATS SAFE FOR THEM
Annie and Kiyomasa have quite a bond. If Annie is to be mated with Gentaro from the Kyoto City Zoo will Kiyomasa be in the same area? I cannot imagine that working out.
