Excellent teaching, they always resonate with me so deeply, but what is interesting, is that, I find myself taking breaks and then coming back to it after I have learned as a small "i" in my own meanderings.

Wonderful teaching here. This seems much the same as the Kashmir Shaivism Tantra practices. This 'Sacred Space' you speak of is the eternal underlying principle of the light that is consciousness which illuminates the mountain or anything that is an object of knowing . It is one's only true nature or self or sacred Atman if you prefer. No need to hide in a cave to find it. Already and always eternally here as one's true sacred nature. Thank you sincerely for presenting this in an authentic Buddhist context. It is much needed in an atheist Western world. And as the profound sage, Ramana Maharshi , once said: When the 'I' is divested of the 'I' , only the 'I' remains. That "I" is exactly the Sacred Space. It is the very ground of creativity or satisfaction.
