'Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.'

If you can't get it from the lamas and if you can't get it from the texts and the teachings, you have the police teaching you in America -- what do the police say when they stop you and there is a transition --- "You have the right to remain silent!" That was so funny and brilliant:) . Even the police are delivering the message -- you have a choice even when confronted with the police. Great advice, too, to remember that the way we handle our little daily transitions is going to condition us for how we will approach the big transitions. This was a great teaching. Thank you so much. Very empowering, simple and yet profound.
So very grateful for your wisdom and teaching. I have been struggling feeling limited by circumstances which keep perpetuating. I begin to see why this might be happening. Today I feel space and see the possibility of options. 🙏
I really needed to revisit this talk and meditation as I have been struggling with an issue that hurt the heart and can tell I need to confront this situation without allowing my emotions the upper hand. It is like being ambushed by people who pretended to be helping and then realizing they are not. Strange lesson I am learning and it shook my sense of confidence as to why I did not see what was truly going on and sometimes being too trusting can be detrimental so your words brought me back to balance and meditation brought smile back to my heart and realizing I have options was empowering. Grateful that this was posted.
As one who is new to "Bon" I have a question. Were the "Black Hat Magicians", that Padmasambhava had battle with in order to teach Buddhism in Tibet, practitioners of the dark side of Bon? Thank You
I am not an expert but I believe this was a very complicated situation which took place over a very long time so there are no simple answers. My understanding is that "modern" Bon is not just like the ancient Bon and that, in fact, Bon did not become a codified "religion" until after the introduction of Buddhism into Tibet. Tibetan Buddhism and Bon have many overlaps and shared customs and beliefs. Again, I am no expert but i would say, offhand, that Bon today deemphasizes the shamanistic ancient practices and shares many of the same ideas as T. Buddhism. They do revere what they consider a previous Buddha to Shakyamuni. Also I think all these various "schools" were always battling each other back then. It was kind of like that. The lineages were very competitive and war between them was part of life. So it's hard to just grab a sentence and made something of it. What you se here is not Black Hat Magic by any means. The Dalai Lama fully accepts Bon as one of the schools of Tibetan Buddhism, knows this teacher and even appointed him to a high post in the governing counsel at one time.

I’d suggest doing a little research. To begin with, the word “Rinpoche” has nothing to do with one’s occupation. Please look up its meaning. Secondly, as a lineage holder of Yungdrung Bön, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche is anything but “fake.” Just sayin’ 😂
