If that statement makes him God, then these smart christians should take his 12 desciples as gods also according to another similar statement later on in the same gospel. Lets see if christians are seeking the truth or is there a simple church misundrrstanding out of context to impose the roman empire polythiesm onto the original religion of Jesus who worshiped only the one true God.
