2020 was a year where nearly everything went wrong. But somehow on the Abroad in Japan channel, we were still able to have some fun. Let's take a look back at this year's highlights! 🍿BEHIND the Scenes Videos: / abroadinjapan
THOSE were our highlights on the Abroad in Japan channel this year! What were yours? Seriously though folks, on behalf of myself, Natsuki, Ryotaro and Pete from the Abroad in Japan Podcast, a huge thanks for being a part of our absurd adventures, through this turbulent and seemingly never-ending year! We look forward to seeing you again in 2021! - Also if you missed today's release on the Abroad in Japan channel, you can watch it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pp6ggz_uwWE.html
As much of a shit show that 2020 was, your content was still quality and brought a lot of joy to many people. This year provided some memorable moments for the channel and plenty of additions to the Natsuki soundboard haha Spider trash
@@ChrisAbroad Yeah especially with “Spider trash” and “Jesus style” lol After that clip in the video you said something like “before we get to sleep in the cabin with Jesus and the spider trash...” and I died of laughter. Made my year.
With the amazing Journey across Japan 2 (and pandemic shenanigans) I’d completely forgot all then other videos! But yeah that drifting episode was fantastic!
Literally one of the few good things of 2020 is the existence of Abroad in Japan channel! I believe it kept a lot of us sane during this hard year! Happy new year everyone!
Now this is a rewind - I love how you included so many iconic moments from this year...Umai!, seeing Mt. Fuji, the haunted house and Dr. Jelly films, the log bath, hostage Chris, your CGI home and more!!!!!
Cheers Chris for giving us something worthwhile to rewind 2020 over! Hope you have a happy Hogmanay and all the best for next year (hopefully including that cheeky Abroad in Japan 3)!
Thanks a lot, Chris, you had some really fun content this year. Like many others, I had to postpone plans to travel to Japan this year and living vicariously through your (and other RU-vidrs) videos had made it more bearable. I lost it at, "this is *P*en" and couldn't help but laugh at the ridiculous year it has been. Keep up the great work!
The best about your channel is that everyone that appears feels like a character, instead of just a random person thrown in. Never i ever saw videos on youtube where guests felt like perfectly written characters but most of the time they are either themselves, or just probably following a small script with a "do it your style" direction. Its amazing, all of this. No wonder RU-vid loves your videos, they show how much potential a channel can have, and how well it can destroy television, with less money involved aka good business. You sir made a channel for the ages, and i hope when Chris Abroad goes aboard the flight back home, you will keep making amazing stuff like this channel has provided.
Thanks Chris for another banner year, despite everything going on. I don't normally comment, but recently I had a medical emergency and was hospitalized for a week, and watching the last few episodes of your latest Journey Across Japan series gave me some comfort while I was in the hospital, even if it was a short respite. Keep up with the quality content.
Chris, your content has been incredible, even through this joke of a year. IMHO, there's no one on this platform that I know of that put as much work into your videos/other content. Personally, you've inspired me to travel to Japan three times (and counting, hopefully) and to start learning Japanese to help me in my career. Happy New Year, and best of luck in all things
Thank you for keeping me sane over these many months Chris. You and your content have help me and many others through one of the worst years of our lives. Hope you and your loved ones and friends have a immense 2021, and look forward to what next year brings us all.
Exactly one year ago I booked my flight to Japan (scheduled in August) and was going to travel around with my friend there for 3 weeks. I shortly discovered Chris's channel and began doing more in depth research on life overseas and areas I wanted to visit. The pandemic may have taken my trip away, but in return I gained many hours of watching your videos and listening to your podcast which in turn brought me to more of Japan than I ever would have seen in person, and for that I am grateful!
Every single video you did this year was pure joy and quality. Enjoyed every second of it and hope that even tho this year's been shit, you're still motivated to keep doing what you're doing. Because you are bringing joy and entertainment to people and that is what's important.
Abrod in Japan 2020 was a HUGE blast! Always have been a fan of Chris Broad for several years already and cannot wait to add another year with him and his gang! Makes working 6 days a week a lot more bearable.
That gleeeful "he's gonna die" cracks me up every time (sorry, Chris)! xD Thanks for helping us get through 2020, always looking forward to your videos.
Honestly, I wanna say a big thank you to yourself and all the other guests on your main and side channel. You've all been like a family in what has been a difficult year for us all. Sadly my 3rd trip to Japan was cancelled this year due to the COVID stuff, but I'm aiming to go back in October 2021. I usually visit Tokyo, so I'm unlikely to run into you or any of the awesome people in your videos, but one day I'd like to think that I can treat you to a pint as a fellow British person would, as my way of saying thanks for years of incredible content. Here's to 2021!
Chris and his gang are definitely the main characters in this game. Looking forward to another year worth of excellent content, Chris. Thanks for all your hard work 👍
For me the highlights were the short film basically just showing a bunch of grass, you finally getting to see mount Fuji with a clear view and touching everything to prove it, and not even measurably by far you sitting at the beach with Natsuki with a kanpai. That was pure bliss, I don't even can't. Almost got some rain into my eye when I first watched. 😊 Thank you for sharing that moment with us. :) Happy new year 🎉
Contrary to how the year has been, Abroad in Japan has been fan-f*cking-tastic! Thanks for all the awesome videos Chris, looking forwards to what the next year brings
Thank you for being one of the most informational and entertaining channels on RU-vid Chris! Looking forward to a fresh new year watching Abroad in Japan!
I'm very glad to know of this amazing channel by this amazing person. Thank you Chris for making me laugh all the time. You deserve your accomplishments and I'm glad you're surrounded by great people who you consider friends :)
Thanks for another year of high-quality entertainment and high-quality British sarcasm. Looking forward to next year, hopefully it will be one with less viruses ruining everyone's fun (although I won't get my hopes up).
I found out about your channel in Februari and I am very thankful for all of the videos you have put up. It has become a great inspiration for me. Thank you Chris and everyone involved in your channel!
Watched every video on both of your channels. You really set the standards when it comes to high quality content on RU-vid this year. Have a great start in 2021, cheers mate.
I’ve been lucky enough to be in Japan for the last 20 days and I haven’t run into you yet Chris but if I did I would tell you how much I truly appreciate all of your content...thank you
And many thanks to YOU for making this awful year a little better through your videos. Honestly, these brief glimpses into life in Japan really made me happy and helped me to take my mind off of things. THank you - I look forward to seeing what you're up to in 2021! ♥

Its been a short time since i've found this channel but its easily become one of the highlights of my year, and something to really look forward to. Japan is high on my list for adventure. These videos just make me impatient and wish the world wasn't in the state it is now. Stay safe everyone, and stay healthy. Have a great 2021.
Thanks again Chris, for all your hard work. You definitely made this garbage fire of a year more bearable. Happy new year and I look forward to whatever direction you take your channel in 2021.
How are you doing today Jozell? Am Wishing you a Happy New Year from this side of the world, Its really nice having you here, I believe Trust, communication, loving, honoring, understanding, patience and respecting your partner. So crucial to provide balance. This is what creates such great chemistry between two people that are committed to one another.
As much of a horrible year 2020 was, looking back at it through this video, I'm very grateful for all the effort, creativity, time and energy you and your friends have put into the content on your channels. Thank you so much for another enertaining and educational year that I've had the opportunity to experience through your RU-vid channels and podcast! Happy New Year in advance, Chris! Hopefully 2021 will have mercy upon us.
Many of those videos I have shamelessly watched over and over on repeat. Your channel has been the highlight of my 2020 (it sounds kinda sad, but true!). Thanks Chris. You are the MYGA champ. Made RU-vid Great Again! :P Happy new year Abroad in Japan and your team of creators (I didn't use the term influencers :P) who support the Journey Across Japan series.
Another amazing year for the Abroad in Japan channel! Hard to top last year but you did it and remained super entertaining! Cheers! To another great year in 2021 Chris!
In 2020 you delivered as always, Chris. Thank you for doing my favorite content on RU-vid! As to what my highlights were, definitely Journey Across Japan, followed by all of the wonderful conversations on the podcast with the too long name. Was really fun listening to you and Lord Pete or the other guests, when the latter was in holiday (or not, as he claims). And it will be even more fun, when the Rajio DJ can come over and bring some more Cool(ish) stuff into the videos.
I'd like to thank you for the wonderful works you've made this year, despite the difficult circumstances. It's not been a good year for me personally, but your works have saved me a lot. ありがとう❗😃 良いお年を‼️
Thank you for your wonderful videos Chris! Truly brightened up a lot of days in this awful year. Cheers to you and your buddies and lets hope we can all forget 2020 for all the shit it was...
Abroad in Japan has been my favorite RU-vid channel for so long and has not lost the spot by a mile. I can't wait to see what fascinating things you do in 2021!
Chris your videos sure have helped many of us who wanted to visit and couldn't, to still get some quality japan content and feel like we're in there with you. not to mention the awesome podcast that is just pure joy and my favorite haha. Happy new year, wishing you many new adventures for the next one!
