so, any music people out there able to explain why this song makes me feel so... melancholic? It's got an upbeat sound and a quick pace, it doesn't sound particularly sad on the surface but I just can't shake this overbearing sense of what I can only describe as melancholic heartache throughout it and I can't explain why.

I just watched the making of this particular track and am positively astounded at the level of compassion that you put into your work. You are an absolute treasure to the musical world. My personal favorite hook on in this song is the sample used @ 0:44 & 1:58 - there is something about these little sound bytes that i just LOVE so much!!! Watching you mouth the sound is also fantastic because its difficult to discern where these actually were taken from in the film.
