Don't get me wrong I LOVE Alex's personality, she shines so bright like the sun. That fact alone made her a heather and so much more. I just didn't feel her look for the video was very good. Let's face it if you're going to get so much air time in a commercial you'd better damn well look gorgeous & unforgettable!
Season 3 was so amazing. Everyone was so amazing... Raja, Manila, Alexis, Yara, Shangela, Carmen, Delta, Mimi, Mariah... This season we have... Chad and Latrice and Sharon. :/
@MsMrReason performance is important in drag which is why I think many are conflicted with Raja. On drag race, Raja being the winner made sense, but like the other winners, I am not sure it is going to translate into success as well. Manila, Yara, Alexis and Shangela will probably do better on the "road"...
also, chad is a fierce queen and manilla is talented (wish I could turn the sound off on that one though), but ru is looking for the future of drag and sharon and raja are royalty. hands down, never forget.
i agree with you a lil bit. those winners would have been fab but its also a lil bit of politics and the hierarchy of drag. Tyra is a fierce queen with a lot of talent, but her personality may not be that of a superstar and if you notice, she hasn't really been featured much lately because of that, so eventually that's a win for Raven b/c she's clearly a star. Sharon became an overwhelming fan favorite, Chad was indeed ready for the crown and eventually got one anyway. Heathers ftw
What Manila does to her eyes, every effing time, makes me just want to stare at her hypnotized. Great eyes, great makeup. . . . great face in general. Raja has a, hrmmm, weird face @_@ to put it so, but in a good way. Bit on the androgynous side, but that's exactly why I like watching her. Both of them really pretty as boys too!
I love the way the whole commercial turned out. I woudl've liked to end the commercial with better music. Everyone's segment had great music especialy Alex's & Manila's part. Also Alex's look was so off the mark for the MILLENIUM!? What was she thinking?!, She needed something over the top & stunning. When she turned sideways she looked like a football player in bad drag. The rest looked so FUN and Minila's was my favorite, her look, attitude, and music, she KILLED it. Raja is so creative too!
@BAMBAM8993 I like a drag queen to be a performer - I have a feeling if I met Raja there would be no conversation on her part - just an awkward silence until one of us slowly walked away from the encounter. I have never seen anyone look so uncomfortable with performance. She is a big Frosty pants
i don't bark. Listen, you are saying that this show chooses black people because Ru is black. Wrong, because Raja is not black and niether is Sharon Needles, so the crown goes to whoever RuPaul thinks is deserving. And i never used the word Racism.... This show is not racist, nor did I ever say Racism does not exist. And Yes. I read your comment. You didn't need to mention season 4, but it is still a part of the show. So I can if I want.
@KingofIce547 I agree because she is not very confident when she is by herself. She is better in a pack. I imagine she is the type of person that has many embarrassing pauses in conversations.
@BAMBAM8993 I think Raja had great Runway skills and I often found her outfits fantastic- never missing the mark. But would I ever want to meet her or see her perform ? - Nope Being so cold and frosty I reciprocate the same feeling back to her. She simply makes me feel uncomfortable. Manila was very bitchy on the show, but also funny and talkative and I would love to meet and see her perform. Unless you are a drag actor like Willam I am not sure why you would want to be so cold.
....Raja is asian... she is Indonesian.... you're funny though. That absolutely made me laugh because guess what, Manila is asian too, from the Phillipines. So I don't think you really know what you are talking about because the winner of season four was white... funny though. It was a good try though. ;)
@BAMBAM8993 Thank-you, Willam's personality just lacks any pizzazz or spark. Everytime I hear her talk I'm wondering why she's picked for ANY role when there are alot more queens who look stunning and have personalties that SPARKLE!!??
