As a person who has moved loads, mark each box with what room it goes in. Also, clothes hanging in the closets can be bound up and zipped into a suit bag. Happy travels guys 😊
When I moved I did this and I also color coded the boxes based on what type of things were inside and then made a key for it on paper and kept the key in my handbag (because that was with me at all times so I wouldn’t lose it). VERY helpful!
When we moved last time, I bought different color masking tape and marked each box with the color of the room it was going in. Did a chart for the movers so they knew where to go. For example-red tape was bathroom, etc. it was so helpful for the movers!
Best wishes, on your new house, all the new memories that will be made there. Watching your girls grow. Maybe even a sibling in the future. You guys are so much fun, and ty for bringing us along on the next phase of your life journey together . Lots of luv, from Ireland 🇮🇪
Such a stressfull time for you guys. So sweet Sarah came to help and other friends helping you out. Wishing you all the best luck with the last packing and a safe travel to Utah. Super excited for you and can’t wait to see your new house. You are the best and love you! ❤❤❤❤
If you go at the end of the day to stores, a lot of them will give you boxes for free from their shipments that day. I go to Dollar General & do that whenever I need boxes bc it can definitely get expensive when you need a lot. Any way, just wanted to share! 💖💖💖
Crazy shiz that worked out in the end! All definitely worth it because your Utah home is beyond amazing! Who could not be happy for such a loving family!? Blessings for you to be healthy, happy and prosperous in your new journey! ♥️
We've been through a bunch of moves in the past 10 yrs. And yes it was stressful. But not as stressful as I felt for you guys on this video...lol. I'm happy you got the house of your dreams and you're happy. Congratulations.
I’m so excited for your new chapter coming up but I’m really gonna miss your videos on the beach! You all lived in a very beautiful place. Utah is awesome also so looking forward to your future videos! 👍🏻🤗
This is your second house in Utah? So sweet, you’ll be close to family and Sarah and family will be there soon. Keep your Kitchen Aid mixer definitely! So relived your wire transfer worked. You can save stuff at Sarah’s and have them ship it later.❤love you ❤❤❤❤
I just recently found your channel in the last few months and subscribed and tanners bro and Sarah's channel same with them. I just want to thank u for still posting while your going through such a big change. I cannot imagine doing what your doing such admiration! Stay strong and positive!
I love this couple so much! And having had moved from Hawaii myself, I know how hard that is. Love seeing them work together as a team and handling such a hard situation! Much love. ❤
There are some excellent youtube videos on how to pack clothing and other items efficiently in suitcases. Moving is a nightmare, but I learned that planning and organizing months ahead saves on the stress and the self-doubt. All the best with your big move!
I've moved across the country too... not easy, and not fun..lol. I ended up getting vaccum sealed bags to pack all of my clothes I couldn't take on the plane. What a life saver!! I was shocked on how much I could fit into the bags and how little space it took up. Good luck to you and you family on the move and the next chapter in your life.
You guys are amazing!! First of all you’re a great team. Your kids are adorable, (fruit doesn’t fall from the tree) . I’m sure that many of your “fans” who subscribe to your channel feel like we know you personally. You fun and funny to watch, not that I have a lot of down time, but you folks are refreshing, like you made your move seem like fun! I also am happy to see such whole- some people lead such exemplary lives. Even though it’s sad to have to leave Hawaii you’re going to another really cool place. You have lots of friends and family there too. All the best to you good folks and thank you for letting us tag along💕❤️🙏
Not gonna lie I get extreme anxiety when I have to move and pack and then unpack, and watching this video I was like OMG 😳 I get to a point where I’m like just give/throw it all away 🤦🏻♀️. I’m such a procrastinator at that. It’s not okay. But I wish you guys nothing but the best. Yes it’s gonna be hard to leave but y’all will come back and visit. I just watched the episode of y’all leaving and I cried 🥹, not sure how I missed this video. Love you guys and wishing y’all safe travels even though y’all have already left lol😊 I hope y’all had a good trip and hope Tanner is safe driving back the 4Runner. ❤
This was such a stressful watch because it makes me think of all I have to do to get where I want to be. But, BUT Tanner’s hair looked really good & Lauren trying to stay positive is inspiring.
Lauren I have been looking at that hair of yours for months now and it’s so beautiful. I am DYING to see you try the curly girl method. We see those waves in there!!! I would love to watch a video of you trying it.
Good luck finishing packing! I recommend putting duct tape on all corners and edges of the boxes because they will get pretty beat up on the journey ! We did a move from Utah to Puerto Rico and did the checked bag/Home Depot box combo and it also worked well for us. USPS rather than UPS was a better option for us too cost-wise but it might be different since Hawaii is a state.
I am sooo happy about the adventure you are on. Just think next month at this time you will be settled in your own home. Thank-you for sharing your life journey with us. I can't wait for the next chapter.
I feel this SO much rn I cannot believe it but I found out in a 2 day period im gonna be moving interstate across the other side of the country (AUSTRALIA!! 😱) and I just gotta cull sooooo much pretty much everything. So I can just fit what's in my car. But I live alone, and have no one here (no friends, family or support people - hence the move) so I have no one to motivate me. Needless to say I've been laying in bed blankly staring at my phone and being paralyzed the entire week since finding out 😂 moving I actually the absolute worst like... The worst. Can't even enjoy the excitement or happiness about the move, cos of the stress and sadness of leaving my comfort zone 🙃
I agree with the Chase Bank!!! They made over 121,000,000,000 last year and you can’t get any service. It’s as though they don’t want to talk with their customers.
I don't envy the moving part. But so exciting to make a new home with new memories. ENJOY the crazy part so you can really appreciate the new.Good luck and safe travels.
Hope you guys have a safe and successful move. I have moved since a younger age and my little hack is to write the room on the boxes and pack the designated items for the room in the box labeled with the room name if that makes sense.
I love your Channel. And I love that you're filming the realness of your life. And the struggles of packing up a whole house. I can relate. I always look forward to your next vlogs
@@sq5 I'd probably be too slow to do it professionally, I'm too methodical about it. I also start packing way too soon. The day it's decided to move, everything starts to come off the walls and shelves. Anything of abundance in the kitchen or items not regularly used, packed up. etc etc. That being said, I don't move often and I've never done it with small children.
I left Maui last April after 25 yrs! I was stressed just like you are. I’m even having trauma flash backs just watching you😄 It all comes together- every little thing is gonna be alright! 😊🤙🏼😋🌺
You could go to the bank, and send amount you need to a trusted family member who can run the money to who you need to pay. Also, regarding shipping things. Pack the boxes, ask a friend to store and take "X" amount of boxes to ship over 8 weeks. Mark the boxes 1-8 so they know you'll get most important boxes first. My nephew was in military in Hawaii and that how he afforded the expense of moving home with his stuff.
Team work will make the dream work. Moving is one of the most stressful things that you can do, you are an amazing family and I wish you all the best, love watching and keeping up with your family.
I don't understand why the house is in such chaos I have moved many times across the country even to a different one, and except for our storage room and the garage, our house never had so much stuff all over the floor. No wonder you're overwhelmed. Good luck, though, it is a new adventure for your family. It's hard now, but you will be much wiser when you're done.
I couldn't believe you weren't rolling your clothes up. You get so much more in a suitcase like that. It even works when you use boxes. Congratulations on the new house. Hope you don't have to ship a lot. A pod may have been cheaper.
Prayers and good thoughts toyou Rachel and best of luck with everything. So lovely to see the lovely clothes especially the green ones I'm from Ireland. Ha ha. As regards your anxiety which I totally empathise with I'm sure the good Lord will help you through and lots of deep breaths and concentrate on the lovely outcome that beautiful baby! From CC Ireland 🇮🇪
...1. DEATH ...2. MARRITAL CHANGE ...3. DEATH THE TOP 3 MOST STRESSFUL CHANGES... ...we were NAVY for 13yrs...then a few moves...after... Ive lost track....but im still here...praise God!!!
When I pack clothes I lay them down flat and roll them up like the do in the army...each piece will look like a rolling pin. Lay each piece in the suitcase next to each other. When that layer if full put another layer in and keep going. You will be absolutely amazed by how mych you can put in there
