Hi, I'm new to G code, when you said you that this block is 3.5" by 4.5", Do I have to specify that in the code? How can I lock my axis to that size so the tool don't go above the specified number Exp 3.5" by 4.5" if that was my build plate? If I'm building a new cnc machine and my tool is in the middle, how can I set a homing for the tool? Hope you can help me thanks
G91 works great for threadmilling as a sub. Use G90 for positioning to the hole, then go into a G91 sub to buzz the hole out. You could use G92, but that's a good way to crash the machine, shifting the work offset around. A good thing to keep in mind is, if you are sending spindle home or to a particular location using G53, G90 should always be added on the same line to be safe. If it modally happened to be in G91, chances are good the machine wont go where you wanted it to go. The same is true for G10L2 (or L20 for additional offsets) work offset setting. If G90 isnt specified on that line, and it was modally in G91, the offsets will be incrementally set! On your canned cycle line, I didnt see a specified G98 or G99 with the G81. BTW, I've been using G82 lately, because you can add a slight dwell to ensure your drill will go to the depth you want it to, and not rapid out when its "close" to depth. We've had that issue on the fanuc 15m. I like using G91 if I'm not using a finish bore canned cycle. If I'm just going in using G1 with a finish bore, I'll m19 the spindle, then G91 X slight move to move the finish bore away from the bore so it dont rub on retract. I have gotten bit on this in a counterbore! After cutting to counterbore depth, if M19, then incrementally moving away, it can pull the insert out of its pocket from rubbing on the counterbore! So back cut a bit before stopping the spindle to avoid insert rub when moving the tool away from bore.
The 2nd line below G90 should be X2.25 *Y-1.25* , not Y-1.75, right? (1,5+2*0,5)/2=1,25 In any case, the dimensions on the left side show that the Y side is 2,5 in long, but the those to the right say that the same side is 3,5 in long. Great video, by the way. Thanks for uploading. EDIT: Ok, I see you've made that mistake on purpose. I've paused the video to examine the drawing more closely and than I've written this comment. Silly me. :D Thanks again.
Regards! Excuse me for interfering, I would like to inquire, Can you help me, Can you offer me some software for home schooling that allows you to learn how to program and draw Cnc, They would like to offer me a note, a handout for learning, to learn how to use the programs, I look forward to your reply, Thank you for your help, I respect you, Zoltán Tóth.
Hello! I am from Bangladesh. I completed my HSC in 2022 with a GPA of 5.00 in general education. I now want to become a CNC programmer and machinist, but I do not know where to start. There is a technical training center called BKTTC (Bangladesh Korean Technical Training Center) that offers a 3-month machine shop and CNC machine operator course, as well as mechanical AutoCAD 2D and 3D. I have decided to dedicate myself to learning these skills. Could you tell me about the future of this career path? Is it a stable job? Are there any chances of losing my job? Are there any better alternative careers that I could consider with great potential for growth and earnings? Will learning CNC help me achieve my goals, or will it be a waste of time? I would like a clear and conceptual solution to my situation. After completing these courses, I want to go abroad to work as a CNC machinist because there is no opportunity for growth or a happy life in Bangladesh. Please give me the best solution for my career. I am looking for your support. Thank you!
No limits on any letter. When the control sees a open parentheses ...(... it ignores all code until it sees a closed parentheses...)... and then it starts paying attention again. So you can put enormous comments if you want to between parentheses and the control will ignore them all.
Great video... i have questiin about gcode in mach3 sorry this not topic here.. am sure you know more about it) your help needs please..i have wrote down gcode by myself on notepad txt format am using x axis as clamping system linear movment in mini injection machine ...i put some codes on it and downloaded in mach3 some x axis movments and i want to use some codes as loop can repeated hole cycle till i turn off reseted button...some guys use m97, m47 but in my case no luck)) any help please??? for example in my case...g90 g1 x50 f 350 G4 P10 X0 x-10 X0 x-11 X0 (these above cycle needs to repeated... any codes as loop???)) Hope some can also help this if knows .. i really appreciated
It's sloppy how he explained it. Absolute is easy because X & Y axis is positive all the time by starting at the bottom left of the part. Incremental means you're always moving your tool negative and positive. Which means your starting point will have to be different each time
