I have had that happen to me, but what is just much fun is when you buy the make and model of what you're local policy department use and you do it to other people.
Earlier this year I was allegedly driving faster than I was supposed to be and a state trooper pulled me over. I knew my goose was COOKED. Had my license and insurance out ready to hand over. Man walked up, saw me in my pajamas with my daughter in her work uniform next to me and said “I just got another call, have a good day”. My day was much better as soon as he said that.
I had a sheriff deputy pass me going in the opposite direction shaking his finger at me! He was in a lot of traffic and knew that single acknowledgement of me speeding would slow me down and it worked!
the park rangers up around where I lived as a kid have cars that look shockingly similar to the cop cars in the district and they would just like park their cars visibly in like the park service road just off the highway. Fucking got me every time
