Absolutely Gorgeous Vanleigh Beacon 40FLB Fifth Wheel RV! 

You asked what we think of the floor plan... here goes... I've lived in an RV now for almost 4 years and love the life. For us personally that kitchen is far too small for those of us who love to cook. Not enough counter space for food prep. Once you take the covers off the double sink which is nice the island counter is quite small. Otherwise, great RV, nice features but not my kind of floor plan. Have a great day.

Liked most of the RV, for the price it should come with a stackable washer & dryer plus a half bath, have a blessed day

I am a little taken back with your comment about the interior blowing away the DRV I happen to own a DRV and after watching your review I totally disagree with your comment I’m sure there are other DRV owners that would agree just disappointed in that comment.

Personal taste but I don’t like the glossy cabinets or counters and the white furniture is a no go for me. Also at that price I want zero carpeting and a residential style range. Wood tones also too brown for my taste. I can see appeal about floor plan but style wise a pass for me. Outside paint is nice looking.

From a practical standpoint, changing sheets in the bedroom would be a major challenge!

The full body paint is unbelievable. I've seen a few of these going down the road and they always stand out. Beautiful RV!

Outside paint is awesome looking, but then they lost me at interior wood stain color, yuk!

I really don’t like this one. Sorry. The woodwork is too high gloss. It looks dated. The living room furniture is ugly, as are the dinette chairs.

I was surprised at the lack of counter space in the kitchen.

We love your videos. Thank you for the well thought video. What I don’t understand is why manufacturers continue decorating like it’s the 90’s. I am saying to myself ‘I’d rip that out, paint that, move that’ and so on. Again thank you for the time and thought that goes into your videos 👍

Love it, love it love it.keep up the great work you are doing. Wife and I want so badly to sell everything and live in a fiftwheel for the rest of our lives. We are getting closer. The only problem is, that you are all the way in texas.we are in NC.

When you were showing the body paint and telling us that the interior would blow us away I was quite skeptical. Sadly I was proven right. That wet cola colored wood finish looks terrible. It's fully incompatible with the modern blue exterior paint. Residential finishes... Perhaps if you have a 50 year old house in desperate need of a remodel. I'm disappointed that these $100k plus RVs can't break the mold of ugly 60's/70's color palettes.

Is it actual wood interior trim/cabinets or plastic coated laminate/ply? Looks plastic to me?

The good thing is that since they don't make this model anymore, if you find one, most likely you can negotiate a great price. New model is 41FLB, btw.

That woodwork... is simply amazing. While not a fan of the layout of this unit, the quality and details Vanleigh puts in their interiors makes it so I will consider them.

WOW!!!! Just WOW!!! I had the opportunity to view one of these a few years ago and was not ready at the time for a fifth wheel. Motor Home quality! High end features. Incredible wood details. High gloss. Nicer than some homes!!!! If you can't do a Mobile Suites, this is the best alternative out there (Ok.......Maybe Redwood). THANKS BTBRV!!!!!!!

WOW! Although I am not so into all dark woodwork, you are right on with your quality assessments of the woodwork and furniture. And the and bathroom is beautiful! Nice touches throughout!

Nice unit, to bad dealer doesn't spec it with disc brakes, would do the new owner a favor! Also IRS suspension would be nice!

How do you think the acquisition of Tiffin and Vanleigh by Thor will affect their product quality and quality control. I have to admit it always gets me nervous.

As someone looking to go full-time in a GD Momentum I enjoy learning about all these other brands/travel trailers. Hey JD, you mind trying to mention more about full-timer features i.e. insulation value, tank heaters, etc.?

I wouldn't buy this unit. I didn't really care for it. On top of too big and heavy for my truck.

I do not like the dining area. It is nothing but a table with 2 chairs. What is so great about the "dining area", which is not an area at all.

This is one beautiful unit. We have had many units in our forty yrs. Of camping. The largest one we had was a 38/5 mountain air by Newmar, loved it. But as the yrs go by changes are outstanding. Love the living room, an d the layout through out. Very nicely done with the tour. Thank you.

Hey JD awesome video. l definitely agree with you on the Beacon as far as comparing it to a riverstone or a Redwood I would definitely go with the Beacon if I was to step up in quality it would be between the LUX or the DRV wath is your opinion between the lux or the DRV which one do you think is a better build ?

Enjoyed watching your videos today. I just ran across you upon searching new RV place in Murfreesboro, Tn. Many more informative videos you have I want to watch. Even though I grew up camping fishing with my Grandparents still undecided if I'm going to the beach to new Condo or this Rt. As the wildest thing 4-5 yrs ago upon loss of my Mom I was calling a contractor to do some work here at Her home. He was telling me how he & his Family had been downsizing they're lives to go FT rving. As he stated wanted to see places and with kids and to teach them to live without having everything. I thought how cool is that. Loved his outlook to last spoke to they had just about sold everything and getting ready to hit the road. So unfortunately i never got to meet him and now as i follow so many to love some & hope to meet someday if i go this route. This wasn't a big thing then as I've watched it growing now to even the RV makers so on. So actually I've been watching little more than a yr. As I continue this journey yet old Farmhouse my Mom completely restored added to etc. It's been ONGOING to now to much upon Ins not doing as should and turning into a money pit I cannot continue. As She wanted me to fulfill my dreams and goals always had and done. Now in a position I must make a quicker decision than ever imagined. So looking at homes in Around Fl. She hoped I'd done then to now wish also. But I think I must rent one at this time to make sure. But I tell you what this one is so my Style to condos viewing as these etc. But must go now. To will be reviewing more of your informative I've already saved several. Spent to much time now today. You are doing a great job. Another thing also would be apart of my business to blog. Hey JD, been a subscriber since you had the 2016 f450. I do have a question and its not regards of the rv. I have a 2015 f350 dually and I'm in the process of getting new tires for the truck. I watched your video of your 350 king ranch and you got the nitto exo grappler. I'm trying to determine on what kind of tire tread I want. I would like an all around tire. I live in Fort Worth TX, where the general weather is mostly dry, and wet. about once a year I get with my family and head down to the beach in Port A and galveston, and once a while do little offroading in west Texas. I would also like to have a tire that performs well in snow or ice. Even though Texas had that freak snow storm, I did have to drive in it and want to make sure that is also perform as well. My driving is consist of a lot of over the road. My question is what would be a good tire for all what I listed and maybe some of the viewers can comment as well. These tires I have on it was the original tires I bought it couple years ago used. The total mileage on the truck has 39k miles on it. I would appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

I love this one. The dark wood finish makes it look warmer. I saw a all white everything. Did not like that one at all. To much white to keep clean!!! This one is Beautiful, I love it ❤️❤️❤️

Then a one way trip to the Holiday Park where it will be permanently stationed. ! Very nervous and excited at the same time. Beginning a new chapter. I’m going to physically view this 5th wheeler in a week or so. I need to gage the space etc. I already have a coffee ☕️ station set up in my home kitchen which I can easily set up in the RV lol 😂 most essential ! The kitchen seems confining. It's OK, the wood seems like a funeral home. They're nicer tones in an Airstream, Cougar or Jayco- my opinion.

Not really a full timers RV. Not much inside usable storage being shown here. The price for this is just not doing it for me. I could take a lower prices unit and put gloss wood work all over. Hmm. But the outside is gorgeous. Minus the lack of storage for a set of chairs sure but I don't know .

Cannot go wrong with a Vanleigh but I do wish fifth wheel manufactures would install some sort of nightstand with outlets on each side of the bed as a standard. Not having nightstands in the bedroom is a deal breaker for me.

What's up with the skinny entrance to the basment next to the water works area??? You could not even fit a medium sized strorage bin through that narrow entrance! WoW Extremely small storage on the other basement door as well.

I love the full body paint and scheme.. the interior, not so much. Not a fan of that high gloss and dark cabinetry. They could have at least added another color of cabinetry for the island and all the trim and leave the high gloss finish off.

Beautiful trailer but not for a family. It's more for a couple. So many of these big beautiful trailers are designed for a couple mostly.

Not comparable to Riverstone, and their couches are so ugly with all the tufting.

Nice but the dining area is cheap and small for such a high class vr. A 4 person booth would be the least you expect

While these RV’s are “gorgeous” and “beautiful” I struggle to see how practical they are. By that I mean what type of people would buy and how would they use them in practice. This isn’t an RV for a family. While I’m sure the sofa’s convert into beds, there isn’t a seperate bunk area. So it must be for a couple, possibly full timers. If that’s the case then in my opinion too much space is dedicated to the ‘entertainment area’ with seating for 6 to 8 people vs, the kitchen and dining area. The dining area isn’t large enough to sit 6 to 8 people for a meal, and the kitchen isn’t big enough to cook for that many people. Unless of course your visitors will sit in the entertainment area eating off of trays the allocation of space doesn’t work. I tend to look at how space is allocated to each of the functional areas (eating, sleeping, entertainment) to get an idea of what type of couple or family the RV is best suited for. In the case of this RV it looks as if it’s designed for people who want to have friends over to eat popcorn and watch a movie or ballgame on TV. That’s my opinion anyways.

Love your channel; is it possible to get an engineer reveiw on why a dully is necessary vs. tow wheel, due to the heights wall ect.?

Gorgeous lots of seating in the living room why are the only putting seating for 2 at the table so often. No room for a guest. Also how much is this one please.

it's nice but I think the other that you have reviewed is better, just my opinion.

A luxury event for this price and it has carpet, does not have soft close drawers or a 4 burner larger stove and oven. You got to be kidding!

This is a sexy rv. I'm also a big fan of living areas being in the front. There's a bit more separation from the kitchen giving it that other room feel. A+ from me.

One cabinet has to come out, the separation between kitchen and "living room" wouldn't really work for me, other than that, really nice 5th wheel, the price is to be expected.

How wide are the Beacons side walls and what type of insulation do they use? Would you consider this a 4 season product? They are truly beautiful.

You haven't done to many reviews on the DRV FL models. interested in the front living floor plan, are these units 4 season.

Another thorough review. This unit has a stand out livery. And agreed, an excellent layout with generous quality. The storage is a shortcoming. So this might make a better weekender or destination traveler than a vacation vehicle.

I like the front living room. The unit looks better than most condos. A great unit from inside to the paint outside.
