I rent the aircraft 'wet', that is, with fuel included. If I have to refuel, I pay myself then take the receipt back to the club, who discount the fuel from the price of the rental.
Your Checklist/Briefing pad is seriously impeding a proper view through your windscreen, especially at dusk. You need to put it well away from the glareshield or create a pocket (painted black) so you can slide it away from any chance of reflection through the windscreen. If you were on a check ride, keeping it in your current position would instantly fail you. (Enjoy the videos).
