Absolutely Most Painful Medical Procedures 

I had a dental implant once. Now I'm glad they completely sedated me before they started, because I never noticed anything until it was all finished

As a dentist, I stopped watching when you said a dental implant is one of the most painful procedures. Yes it's true that if you aren't anesthetized any dental/medical procedures can carry pain/discomfort. However a dental implant surgery on its own (as graphic as it sounds) is one of the easiest surgeries to numb the patient for, and one of the surgeries associated with the least amount of pain after.

I have never in my life heard of someone undergoing liposuction being awake, and I have worked in medicine for 40 years. I have also had liposuction and it is incredibly painful but you are put to sleep every time or else you risk going into shock. Please stop spreading ridiculous medical misinformation. Every topic mentioned is in fact very incorrect and aimed to frighten people more than the reality of the procedure.

As a skin graft patient I can attest to the cleaning of the part where the skin came from. That is incredibly painful. I have a pain tolerance but even I was screaming and convulsing when the gore plaster comes off.

For me, it was getting a piece of my brain cut out, and then waking up to find out my brain was swelling, which is obviously dangerous too. Doctors said it was pretty rare for that to happen. It took over a week for it to go down. The surgery was resumed and it went fine. That's the worst pain I've ever been in though. Edit: If anyone's wondering, I had epilepsy seizures. I had it somewhat under control with high dosage of medication, but when I did have a seizure, it was severe. I had to be revived once. So my neurologist said the best thing to do was find the source and remove it. It was my left temporal lobe. My neurologist said it was pretty much destroyed at that point(former neurologist had done nothing for years). So it was removed, and it cured me from epilepsy. It was in August 2010 when I was 12 years old.

As a victim of dental neglect when I was a child I have had 7 root canal surgeries as an adult (with more to come). I'm pretty much used to them now and they don't hurt me at all. Except for one time when the anaesthetic wore off during an operation once. There is no pain in the world that I could compare that to. I can't even begin to describe it. It is like every sense your body is capable of was enhanced to the point of sheer agony. It hurt to breathe. It hurt to open my eyes because everything was too bright. Even the quietest of noises sounded like being front row at a death metal concert. I could literally hear the air moving around the room and it was deafening.

The most painful medical surgery I've had so far is a Liver Transplant, my entire body was so messed up afterward, I couldn't sit up because my abdomen was completely cut open, and it's honestly the worst thing I have ever experienced, it took my body 6 months to stop hurting and even now when I get a pain in my side from running I have flashbacks to being in the hospital bed. This was December 4th, 2017.

I had a dental implant 2 years ago. I was fully awake with nothing but numbing medicine during the procedure. No pain, no discomfort. After I took 2 advils and that was it. Few days later I was 100% pain free. I consider a dental implant and the recovery to be less than getting stung by a bee (hurts 100x more at the time and swelling can bother you for days).

I have dental implants and the most painful part is getting the shot to numb it beforehand. Tylenol handled the pain afterwards easily.

I had gallstones for 6 years before removal. The pain after was bad but knowing that I wouldnt feel the pain from a gallstone attack ever again..made it all worth it. anyone who suffered a gallstone knows what im talking about!

My husband got a dental implant through the military. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong. I had to watch him suffer for over a year. It was awful. He is better now.

The worst pain I have ever been through was reconstructive sinus surgery. They had to break multiple places in my face to fix damage that healed wrong. They used a laser to cauterize my sinuses. I was coughing burnt flesh for weeks. Throwing up burned flesh is by far the nastiest experience I have had.

Most painful thing I’ve had happen was an ingrown toenail removed. Normally, doctors put a numbing thing on it, but the first time I got it removed, he didn’t put it on, so the inch long needle going into my toe hurt

For me it was waking up after having my entire large intestine removed and replaced with an artificial intestine made out of my small intestine called a "j pouch". That was the most rediculous pain I've ever experienced. Not only was my body in shock, but my entire abdominal area was sliced down the middle. You don't realize how often you use your abdominal muscles until they're cut. I had to force myself to walk every single day and it was too much. Not to mention not being able to eat for a week and having a NG tube down my nose.

When I was in the hospital back in 2018 for a diabetic coma, the did at least 15 abg tests on me, and let me tell you, that was the worst pain I've ever felt. Definitely deserved it's place on this list

I had #4 happen to me. I had to get a lot of my small intestine, a little of my large intestine and the ileocecal valve removed. It hurt, but I definitely wasn't screaming my lungs out like the characters in this video were. Everyone watching this who is terrified some of these might happen to them, it'll be fine if it does. It hurts but it won't be anything like is shown here

I had to have arterial blood draws twice. The first time I didn't even know that the draw had been done. The second time the person doing the draw had to attempt several times. But he did such a great job that I didn't have much additional pain (maybe the pain from advanced fibromyalgia and arthritis has made me too used to extreme pain!)

As an Ob/Gyn RN, myomectomies are 9 times out of 10 done vaginally, not laporoscopically

When I was 4 years old, I was EXTREMELY close to having to get "procedure #1" , followed by a bone marrow transplant, pending the results. However, by some kind of a miracle, my blood tests suddenly went back close to "acceptable" numbers and I didn't need to (after over a year of low platelet and sky high white cell count). I feel so bad for anyone who has to have operations like that done... :(

I had dental implant done, skin graff done removing about 8 inches of skin from my thigh to my leg, and liposuction as well. Each procedure I've always thought it wouldn't be too bad. I cried like a little girl after each of these procedure. The aftermath hurts more than the procedure itself!

I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed while conscious. The numbing injections were unpleasant but not painful. And the post op recovery really wasn't bad at all. Just felt pressure where the teeth were removed and had some bleeding for a bit. Numbing wore off mid surgery but I just let the dentist know and they stopped for a bit and re shot me up (they had an issue with one of my teeth breaking. Took a little while longer) overall was very pleasantly surprised at how painless the whole thing was.

I’ve had several of these procedures, incl completely natural child birth .. no pain meds at all. I can honestly say the two most painful were in this order, spinal fusion, then childbirth. The gallbladder was a breeze, the bone graft I was sore, but it wasn’t horrendous. Total abdominal hysterectomy, uncomfortable, but not even close to the spinal fusion.

I can go through the torture videos and feel fine after, but there’s something different about this one that makes me have to pause and compose myself. I don’t know what it is lol.

Ridiculous. I've had four brain surgeries, more dental surgeries than I can count, gallbladder removed, thrombectomy to remove a pulmonary embolism, bone marrow draw, and some other minor surgeries. Sure there was pain after each, but that's what pain meds are for. The only one that was extremely painful during was the bone marrow draw, and I've certainly had worse pain than that in my life. If you're feeling pain during a surgical procedure, then you and the anesthesiologist need to have a very looooong heart to heart. I actually asked them for more pain killers (aka, fentanyl) during the thrombectomy because I could feel them rummaging around in my chest. At first it was just odd, then it started getting painful. That was the point where I scared the surgeon and asked for more fentanyl. He assumed the twilight anesthesia had put me to sleep.

I got lipo at 25, I told myself I’d rather go through hours of potentially excruciating pain, than to continue being a walking tub of jello.

For #2, you forgot to mention that most lumbar spine surgeries (like mine) are done through an abdominal incision much like a C-section. One surgeon literally holds your guts out of the way for 4 hours while another surgeon literally reaches all the way through you to work on your spine. Insane. And yes, the pain that I woke up to in the recovery room (and what awaited me in the following months) was absolutely unimaginable, from the bone aches to the spontaneous muscle spasms that felt like my abdomen was trying to tear itself open again. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to have an artificial replacement disc instead of a vertebral fusion! I have almost full range-of-motion.

Wow ive been through several of these most painful procedures but the gallbladder removal was actually a huge relief the pain before removal was the worst i have ever experienced like being stabbed burned and crushed with every breath.

I had my gallbladder out, the only 'pain' I had was the stitches in my belly button where they pulled it out from. They rarely do a large incision anymore. They do 4 small incisions along with a video camera. Stubbing my toe hurt worse than that surgery

The most pain I've ever experienced was from liver and kidney failure following a massive overdose, during that time I had countless arterial blood gas tests and I didn't find them to be painful at all, I've had a few more since and despite the discomfort I barely felt them at all...

Had the lumbar puncture done on me when I was 13. When the nurse did it, I clearly wasn't comfortable. The doc then took over and she was gentle ❤ She told me that she chose to volunteer personally because I was young.

I've never heard or seen lipo done with an awake patient.....and I've seen quite a few done now.

Watching all these makes me feel the pain already. Visiting the dentist is most of the time painful for me.

this should be renamed "most painful medical procedures if, for some insane reason, you aren't anaesthetized beforehand." this is bordering on fearmongering for procedures that are very common and low-risk, and it's misinformation like this that can cause health issues in people who need procedures done but are too scared to do so.

I had my leg amputated below knee after a motorcycle accident and waking up from that was the most pain I’ve ever felt. Also all the surgery on my foot when they were trying to save it for 2 months.

I had to get my gallbladder removed 1 week before the start of my senior year, and exactly 1 month after my 18th birthday. The worst part was, because it was laparoscopic they inflated me like a balloon and the air had to filter out through my shoulders. So the entire week my body ached and i could barely move. Glad I never have to do it again.

Was put under and had all of my teeth surgically cut out and 8 screws put into the bottom with permanent dentures. The recovery was absolutely awful

As someone who had 2 hip laybrum repairs, I can say that it's a painful recovery as you have to learn how to walk and function again. Still recovering from my recent right hip surgery.

I had an arterial blood test and they had to do mine near enough under my armpit and I can honestly say with confidence that it's the most painful thing I've ever gone through

I've had the artillerll blood draw done when I was gassed when I went to clean a old freezer with bleach not knowing the former owners had poured in ammonia. I've had many minor surgeries dental work.... done without any numbing. none compared to that pain. They had to poke and dig around several times before they finally got it.

I can honestly say my grandma had her hemorrhoids removed and the pain subsided mostly the next day. The nurse even said that it’s not that bad

I love the background screaming. It definitely added a lot of drama. I have 5 dental implants but getting my tonsils taken out at age 20 was the most painful recovery I have been through if 56 years. Broken bone recovery comes a close 2nd.

I've had three different dental implants. I was unconscious for all of them being put in. Then aside from some discomfort for like 2 days from the bone graft, it really didn't hurt at all.

I've had many lumbar punctures. The first one was done by a doctor who didn't believe in providing drugs for pain so I felt it the whole way. Make sure you go to an anesthesiologist that is newly trained and will provide you with something to ease the event. Had a cervical fusion too...took me 3 months to recover since I had so much surrounding tissue damage. That wasn't fun either. It seems we can tolerate a lot more pain than we realize.

The most painful procedure for me was when i had the entire nail removed from my big toe twice to get rid of an infection and it still didn't work so finally had to permanently stop the growth of half my nail in the big toe.

I'm a trans man who's undergoing the hysterectomy in the near future and I've heard from people who got it done before me that the pain is not as bad. I think that pretty much depends on your tolerance for pain in the first place. I underwent a mastectomy (removal of breast tissue) on both sides already and the pain wasn't that bad at all. I'm now a little nervous, though! I hope that the hysterectomy is not gonna be as bad as the video is saying. :')

I have had a spinal fusion, a spinal laminectomy, a spinal decompression, Knee surgery, various spinal taps, various cortisone injections (spine and knee) various intrusive biopsies and a lobectomy (removal of upper left long). The lobectomy is far more painful than anything on this list. It’s is a pain that is indescribable in words.

I had jaw realignment surgery, jaw broken in 8 places, moved position to correct overbite with metal plates and screws then wired shut for a liquid diet for a few months, an implant is nothing compared to that! It was worse than childbirth

When I was 17, I had corrective jaw surgery to correct an underbite. The surgeon broke my upper and lower jaw and chin and reconstructed it with titanium screws. I woke up to morphine and feeling no initial pain. When it wore off, I can’t tell you how painful my face was. It was unimaginable. My face was swollen like a football, wrapped up with my jaw shut wired shut. On top of that, I was wearing braces. I had to relearn how to swallow and say certain words. Initially I couldn’t swallow. I started to freak out a little bit. The surgeon came in and said “well, we’re going to have to put you back in surgery since you’re not able to swallow.” I was scared shitless to go back into surgery. Within a minute I swallowed some water. It took two years to full recover from pain/tingling sensations and numbness. I’m so thankful to have a great, knowledgeable, competent UCLA surgeon. He changed my life.

Braces were the most painful "medical procedure" I've went through. The spacers put in to make room to install the braces then each time they were tightened. Solid 10 on the pain scale.

I've had a number of these procedures. My first spinal tap was pretty bad, I was just 15 and the needle both scraped the bone and tore the surface of a disk. A surgical infection after my hysterectomy was nasty, coming on the heels of an emergency C-Section for twins. The most painful thing was a massive build up of fluid behind that C-Section wound, where a mistake was made and the fluid was simply pressed out through the surgical wound, without anesthesia.

I have one dental implant. I was in alot of pain for about three days after the associated root canal , and only Ibuprofen helped. However after the tooth extraction, and after the dental implant surgery, the pain was minimal and quite manageable. Therefore tooth extraction and dental implant surgery are not always very painful for the patient.

On my very first surgery which happened on November of the last year, I removed a sebaceous cyst (which I had since I was 17) which were not only on my back, but also just when I was getting my pre-operative exams (because since I have Asperger syndrome and anxiety related disorders such as obsessive compulsive and hyperactivity disorder, attention deficit and attention deficit, I needed to undergo surgery with general anesthesia) my cyst began to get chronically inflamed and it got even more uncomfortable and annoying for me and made me more determined to get rid of it. After the procedure were a success, I was getting prepared to come back home (on the same day) I felt so much discomfort and pain on my back that I had to wear pajamas for an entire day in some of the few days after surgery…

I had my Gallbladder removed. Before they admitted me to the hospital they asked my pain level from one to ten, I asked if there was a level 50 in there.

I appreciate my health a whole lot more now.

As someone who has a dental implant, I HIGHLY recommend being knocked out for the procedures. You won't feel a thing during the procedure.

I had a tooth replacement and they had to shape the area. I've had much worse dental procedures and I was eating regular within a couple days. The worst part is the cost.

Most acute pain I've had is nerve ablation to 3 vertebrae. Dr asked if I wanted to be put under for it and I said "no". Wrong answer. Needle inserted into the nerves on each side of the 3 vertebrae and removed VERY slowly. Had it done twice more over a few years but had him knock me out. Back feels great now!

Worst pain I’ve ever had to deal with was when I had two infected teeth after a cavity filling with nothing to numb it and I had to deal with a tooth that had an abscess in it that had been sealed up. For three weeks I had to deal with those teeth with nothing to deal with the pain but ibuprofen and Tylenol.

I can confirm that a spinal fusion is really painful.. I‘m 26 and have already 9 vertebraes fused, from C0 (the back of the skull) until my second thoracic vertebrae. The days after the surgery were incredible painful. I was on Fentanyl, Ketamine and Methadone and still had pain when I had to stand up. Even now, 6 months later, it’s quite painful from time to time. The vertebraes lost their function, so the muscles are angry. 😅

I had a full hip replacement at the age of 30 and i can honestly say it was the easiest, lowest pain procedure ive had out of my 10 surgeries. they have you walk as soon as you wake up and the reduction in pain is immediate and profound. it is true it is very invasive but is less painful than the majority of orthopedic surgeries

Dental implant are the worst I had 2 jabs in the beginning to make it numb, so I won’t feel the pain in my root canal. But later, my dentist realised I could fill the pain during the procedure and did another 2 jabs! Good luck to anyone who has one, try go to one that does sedation dentist, so you won’t fill anything! 😭

My mother had an hysterectomy in 2014 due to her cancer. She spent 6 weeks completely bed ridden (my mother's tolerance for pain is actually really high)

I've had a lot of skin grafts as a kid Oftentimes, the gauze would sort of be absorbed by the skin. In the worst case, my mother with a pair of small scissors and tweezers had to pull each thread of gauze out from under my skin for hours on the bathroom floor because of the extreme irritation that was occurring. I could feel each ribbing of that thread travelling under my skin as it got stuck and made minor tears everywhere When it was over, I jumped into bed and was so tired that I passed out while still in the air

I've had a dental implant and at most it's just uncomfortable. The real pain was the few weeks after the tooth was pulled waiting for the gum to heal around the exposed portion of the jaw bone. To me that was more painful than passing a gallstone. Remember to brush every day. I'm not saying it because I did but because I didn't

I had a chest reconstruction and that was agony. Waking up to the feeling of twenty breaks in my ribs was excruciating.

After a root canal my dentist forgot to remove the packing cord under my gums packed around the base of the finished and set crown. So it just sat inside me over the weekend and brought me near to suicide. When I finally got into the office Monday morning they found it and were absolutely mortified. Good. I nearly blew my brains out. I shoulda sued😇when they pulled it out from around the tooth I nearly "ruined your roommates bathrobe" like Forrest Gump says

My personal painful medical procedure was the first 2-3 times I had my ingrown toenail treated. I get it, they need to use a big needle. But it didn't mean it didn't hurt. Then, I learned to ignore the pain. After like, the 4-5 time.

Ive had my gallbladder removed, kidney stone removal, vaginal childbirth, several spinal taps, and 2 bone marrow biopsies and a bone marrow transplant. None of these come close to having kidney abscesses with a drainage tube inserted into your back. I was given max dose of fentanyl yet I cried like a baby for days. I have multiple sclerosis and lupus so thats why ive had multiple medical procedures.

When I was in EMT school we had to volunteer at a hospital for a couple shifts one of the first patients we got to see a man had fallen off a ladder and shattered his heel it was really incredible to see the nurse said it doesn't happen that often

Well with the local anesthesia they would usually put a numbing gel over the area to keep the patient comfortable during the procedure then 10 mins later they ask you of you are numb enough then they will use the needle.

Worst pain for me was after I did lasik a couple summers ago and the eyedrops for pain relief wore off, my eyes were so swollen I couldn't get in any more drops. Even tho I had sunglasses and eyes closed it all felt like having acid dipped needles poking them for the 1.5 hour car ride home. Worst part is i need to do it again cause my vision deteriorated 🤦 at least the procedure itself was a breeze, but def don't do it on a hot bright summers day in July lol

I've had 3 of these already. I had to have a hemorrhoidectomy a few months after delivering my daughter (Which I did with NO pain killers and needed 8 stitches). I was out for the actual procedure, so that was fine, but the pain in the following 2 weeks was so bad, that I actually fainted twice. If given the choice ever again, I would deal with the hemorrhoids. That was 25 years ago and I still cringe even as I type this. I remember the stitches although they were dissolvable, they would still pinch really bad. ugh. I've also had a lumbar puncture, thankfully, it wasn't THAT bad mostly a weird pressure like feeling something inside your body that isn't supposed to be there. The doc was really good and quick.

I had a dental implant a year and a half ago, and I must say I haven’t experienced any pain. Not even the day after.

Having fibroids removed doesn't hurt at all if you have endometriosis! I had one so big, that ultrasound techs usually ask if I've had a c-section. Nope, just that fibroid removal! The part that hurt about that recovery was the bloating, but that didn't last more than a couple of days. The army cut the required recovery time down by more than half, so unfortunately my intestines and some nerve tissue fused to my scar, which hurts when I cough, but is still more pleasant than endometriosis WITH the fibroids.

I am still angry that they told me my bone marrow biopsy wouldn’t be that painful, just uncomfortable. I have a fairly high pain tolerance but I sobbed like a baby the entire time. One of the most excruciating experiences of my life. Thankfully my cancer had not spread to my bone marrow. But I also vowed that if I ever need another biopsy I will pay whatever the cost to have it done under sedation.

Once I got viral warts in the hospital (I had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy which wasn't really that painful afterwards). But, those warts were so persistent on staying on my fingers that none of the typical methods of removing them worked, such as freezing and salicylic acid. So, I had to go through electrofulguration. It's a procedure during which they are burned with electricity. They were quite tender and painful already, so the pain started right at the beginning, when dermatologist injected anesthetic directly into every single one of them (I had like 5 or 6). Then, she started burning them (spoiler alert: anesthetic didn't keep all the pain away). It was the only medical procedure in my life that left me literally shaking from pain. It was absolutely worth it, though. Didn't have any warts since then.

Thank you for including spinal fusion. I had a L5/S1 spinal fusion and laminectomy. The pain afterward was unearthly. Don’t get me started on sneezing for the first time after a spinal fusion. You will pass out and vomit from the pain but not necessarily in that order.

Well pain in each individual is different honestly. What one person deems “the most painful experience in their life” can be different to someone else. There are medical and dental procedures that have high statistical rates but from what I’ve seen (also in this thread) is that pain is subjective. So imo just empathize with someone and hear them when they say they’re in pain, because we aren’t in their shoes and I can’t stand doctors who do not do this and think they know a person’s pain better than they.

I had a cholecystectomy. When he was removing my gallbladder the surgeon noticed a liver cyst. He didn’t touch it because he wanted an MRI to see what kind of cyst it was before blindly removing it. Anyways, a week post op that liver cyst ruptured. God, I was in so much pain! And note, this was all a month after I just had an exploratory laparoscopy for endometriosis.

Wow- tooth removal is #14? Shoooooooot I had two of my molars and two of my wisdom teeth removed yesterday and haven’t felt a heckin’ thing barely…. And since technically I live in Central Texas… we have plentiful bean and cheese tamales which constitute some pretty heckin tasty “soft food” so this whole procedure has seemed way less bad than everyone complains about. I haven’t even had to use any painkillers or barely even any NSAIDs afterwards, save for 600mg of ibuprofen immediately after the procedure. I think I may just have a heckin good doctor or something… cause the guy also only took 30 minutes to pop my teeth out and sew up the gums… and they’re healing up seemingly quickly too.

At 10:34 Number 8: Lumbar puncture.... Mine went fairly easy, I like them know that I was having pain and where and how and they adjusted it. The problem was after....the headache afterwards was exquisitely excruciating. Worse than the worst hangover....

The most painful thing I’ve ever experienced was breaking hairline fractures over the tiny bones at the top of my foot and messing up the tendons as well and then having to walk around a hotel, pack up my bags and sit on a 8-9 hour bus ride from Canada back to america. All while my fellow classmates didn’t believe me and thought I was faking it. Having an officer come and carry me off the bus at the border was so embarrassing. Hour by hour I had to watch my foot swell up and bruise purple. Not to mention the doctors visit when I got home where they had to cut my leggings and push my foot into position to put my split on…. And the bed sores while sleeping that made me cry all night long… 0/10 would not recommend. Needless to say, it did feel good to walk into class the next day with my broken foot and crutches and having everyone apologize for not believing me and not helping me when I needed them. Lol

I had a myomectomy- Ive had issues with fibroids for over 20 years . One of them got so large it was the size of a cantaloupe and was causing a lot of issues . I had already had a c-section as well a few laparoscopic surgeries so definitely thought it would not be a big deal. Well I was wrong - it was horrific ! At the same time I have cared for patients whove had the same surgery who didnt seem to have the same degree of pain ( Im a nurse )

bone marrow biopsy reminded me of the last episode of season 2 the hundred. the fact that it's the most painful procedure ever made me realize the extent of pain those people were enduring

I got a dental implant 2 days ago. It was completely painless and I was not sedated. Just local anesthetic. I did feel nothing, they were done in 30 minutes and a day after I was completely painless. Also, they needed to hammer my bone since it was too slim to fit the implant. I felt the hard shocks, but no pain at all.

I had to have almost all my teeth removed and replaced with implants when I was younger as an added bonus my wisdom teeth (which haven't even erupted yet also had to be removed at the same time as the rest of my teeth. I was thankfully put right out both times, once when my teeth were removed and when the titanium posts where put in a year later but the 2 weeks after both were really rough even though I was kind of snowed out on stupidly strong pain killers for the first few days. My cheeks swelled so much that I could actually see them in my peripheral without a mirror. The second time (getting the posts put in) was even worse because I knew what I was walking into and it actually somehow hurt more. It was totally worth it in the end though. Being able to just drive my face into a burger or a whole fruit and just bite off a piece still feels like a super power. Also, I have the totally awesome memory of the day I finally got my teeth installed and my dentist kneeling on top of me, wearing a full face shield holding a diamond grinder to my face and sparks flying out of my mouth, yelling over the noise "keep your tongue back or you lose it!" as he shaped and sharpened the cutting edges. I was fully awake and aware for that day (no freezing), but he was awesome, made zero mistakes and it was totally painless (If just a little intense).

I know this is just a video but let me tell you something I avoided dental work because I was so scared to go to the dentist and ended up losing a lot of my teeth in the back. I also lost one in the front of my mouth completely and I had a dental implant put in. Let me say this now, it's not unbearable pain. Once the lidocaine wore off I was at the CVS getting my ibuprofen 800 fiilled and I will say there was some discomfort pretty bad but only because I had no medicine in my system. Which of course there's swelling in the bone then there's going to be discomfort. My doctor actually offered to write me out pain medicine but I couldn't take it so he at least wrote me out some ibuprofen 800s and I remember being in the line at CVS starting to panic because the lidocaine was wearing off and it was starting to hurt pretty bad. I think the sales lady could tell I was in pain and hurry up and gave me my medicine and I popped one ibuprofen 800 right then and there in the parking lot. Within 15 to 20 minutes all my pain was gone. Not one ache or pain. Don't be fooled by what people tell you is the lesson I'm trying to tell you. People will scare you until you that it hurts horribly bad but it's not like you think. It was completely bearable after I took the ibuprofen 800. I believe I took one or two more after that and that was it.
