We often choose to ignore underlying emotional issues because we are so stuck on the physical. Maybe Johnay would've embraced his sexuality fully in time but it isn't practical for Octavious to play along and hope for the best. He did the right thing by not compromising his own integrity and waiting for a well adjusted man (Ryan).

Reminds me of time (way back when... the mid 80's), when my brother and I went to the grocery store together (we were adults). A cashier attempted to do the same to my brother and I. She asked if we were "roommates, " I replied "no, that's my brother." She insisted differently. It did never occur to me what she was getting at 'til much later, I'm glad I was confused about the question... otherwise. ____ I have four siblings (all older). The brother in question does not (IMO) resemble our mother at all. He looks like my dad and his family. My other brother & sisters and I take different aspects of our parents physical appearance and it's only when you see my whole family together where you can tell how related we are.
