Correct. I am one of those women. I believe that most people are bisexual, some just act on it more than others do. I don't care if my man is bisexual as long as he prefers women the majority of the time, and is honest with me about it. I'm a bisexual woman who prefers men. Rarely am I sexually attracted to a woman to the point that I would sleep with her. And a woman could never get me off the way that a man can.

I believe that getting raped is one of the most damaging and painful things that a young, sexually inexperienced man can go through. And that when this situation is repeated over and over the brain structure of the victim changes making him believe that the situation is enjoyable. Add that a man's prostate is a sexual organ, he may indeed begin to physically enjoy it. But I think the most important factor to consider is that prison rape isn't always a sexual act. It's about having power over another individual. There's a saying that goes "acceptance is the key to all my problems." If a person does not have the physical or mental ability to stop the assault, they end up embracing it. This results into something that is truly baffling. They become empowered by the way the more powerful men begin to treat them. They become a hot commodity, which gives them choice over who they engage with sexually. So when a "punk" embraces his situation, he goes from the bottom of the pecking order to the top. Everyone isn't capable of defending themselves. Some have to flip a switch in their head that allows them to do things that they never would have done as a means of survival. Unfortunately, for a lot of men, once that switch is triggered, it's impossible to flip it off upon being freed. The trauma has reshaped their brains. I believe that the majority of men who have sex with men in prison do so by choice. It was already in them. But I don't know how to classify the man who has been sentenced to life and eventually begin to have sex with other men. I don't think that they have always been gay. I don't think it's about sex, or even power. I think it's because they know that they will never be with a woman again, and long for companionship. I think dudes like that are victims of circumstance, and never would have considered dealing with a man had they not received a life sentence. The dudes who get locked up and begin fucking 'boys' 3 months into their sentence have always been gay. The lifer, I don't know.
Being on the Dl is not the issue, I have No problem with men that want to keep their sexuality to themselves. What bothers me is when you have a wife and kids and you are leading a double life. Do they not care they are putting their family at risk. If you are gay Just be gay , why deny it?!

I’m a gay guy myself. I’m not dl nor am I obnoxious obvious flamboyant gay, but if u have a good gaydar, u can clock me pretty quick. And I have to say, there are a lot of “straight” men out there that want to sleep with me. At every job I’ve had, there’s always guys flirting with me discreetly when no one is around. I notice the looks when I’m out in the streets. I just know that sexuality is so much more fluid than people realize. I don’t think any one turns gay or straight or that gay people are out here trying to turn people gay lol. It’s just the reality.

lagail davis I’m a Social Worker that worked in a prison for 7 years. And you’re correct. There aren’t any condoms in prisons bc there’s not supposed to be any sex going on while in prison which is so not the case. And unfortunately many of them are married with children or have gf’s.

It's sad to see and know that a lot of ppl not even just the black community feel the need to be down low just because they feel like they will not be accepted. As a lesbian myself my gay male friends are completely open with me because they are comfortable. I just helped another one of my friends start the road to finding and being who she is...it really can't be understood to those that want to judge and not understand. Suicide rates are also crazy high because of this. It's easier said than done to tell someone to be who you are when some are still trying to understand that for themselves...I really want people to educate themselves and gain a better understanding before you judge right off the bat...what I won't respect is men that are down low and aren't careful aren't honest to their partner and causes diseases and so much...I know a woman who now lives with HIV because her man couldn't be honest abt who he was...it's just sad.
