🎉 Abstract mixed media series in progress: here come the first layers!
What if you could boost your color confidence and gently expand your color palette while creating a whole series of mixed media artworks? That’s what I’m working on right now in the studio and I’m filming the whole process to share it with you!
My goal here is to try my hand at fluorescent pink🩷 and maybe even some bright orange🧡… way out of my comfort zone! So, to gently ease into the process, I’m starting with a layer of collage (my favorite) that has some touches of pink and orange, but not too bright and with plenty of neutrals too. We’ll see where it takes me, and I’d love for you to paint along!
Here’s how:
⬜️Grab 3 or 4 little substrates: simple squares of watercolor paper work great, or canvases, canvas board etc. Here I’m working on 6”x 6” (15 x 15 cm) wood panels.
🌈 Choose a color that you love but that feels a bit scary
