I began painting with watercolors in 2022, though a lifetime artist. I appreciate you & others videotaping while working. I paint everyday & learn from you, other talented painters. I like that you don't include time blow drying work since everyone knows how to use. When view is from over painters shoulder it is most helpful, fancy side views are hard to see, interrupt concentration. thanks

Full of "lots of bugger all", as Ted Wesson allegedly said about his own work. But very well done "bugger all" Chris. As Lois says, great choice of colours and a lovely fluidity to the piece.

I saw James Fletcher Watson saying exactly the same thing when looking at Morston Marshes before executing a fantastic watercolour, as usual.

inspirational. how do you get such a ‘flow and spread ’ from your paint?my effort despite spritzing and painting on wet paper is static.Isobella
@ChrisStephenArt
@ChrisStephenArt Год назад
Thanks Isobel. What kind if paint are you using? You may need more water, or more paint, or both. It takes a while to get the technique, but when you do it’s easy!! All the best, Chris.

What is neutral tint?
@ChrisStephenArt
@ChrisStephenArt 11 месяцев назад
Neutral tint is paint. It’s similar to Payne’s grey, however, it can be used to mix darks, or to subtly darken the tone of a colour without making it muddy.

I think it's a paint colour, Daniel Smith does it.
