Going to try and paint some of these paintings if yours, love them. Got to start somewhere, have been procrastinating! Thank you. Jane BrIsbane Australia.
Merci
Hello. I am a new subscriber, and so glad to find your channel through this video. I searched ink and watercolor, and was so excited to see you using bottled acrylic ink like this. I like daler rowney, and LOVE seeing how others use it. Of interest, I usually don't like background music of any kind, but really enjoyed this music and your talking a little as you did it. Thank you. All around enjoyed this so much. Just wonderful and hope to see more in the future. Sincerely, Paula.
@@ChrisStephenArt yeah, watercolor is transparent, it's very hard to ruin it with such light colors that his using with so much water. I hardly even noticed much difference, just that edge got a bit lighter.
I just stumbled over this video and what caught my attention was the resemblance to an oil painting I did. We had been driving south from Inverness toward Oban when we came upon this layby at the waters edge I was taken by the scene and quickly took a photo viewing to do a painting once we returned home. Some time past and at a group meeting we were challenged to do an oil painting. This was a medium I was not familiar with. Pity I cannot post it here as you might think it was the same location👍
I love using a plastic card in my paintings! This one is very inspiring. I like that you started this one on dry paper and then spritzed it. I’ve usually wetted the paper first. I have to try this! Thank you!
That’s quite a difficult question to answer, as there are several factors. Firstly, what type paper are you using? Also, how much water you use and temperature / atmospheric conditions where you are can have a significant effect on drying times. You could try using a mist bottle to help keep some moisture on the surface.
