This album reminds me of year 1997, I was 7 years old playing my pirated version of Famicom/NES (which has been known as Pegasus in Poland). These 8-bit game tracks had as much power and intensity back then as this album has now. Memory is not a sharp tool, but the one to cherish.
BM doesn't miss. It's crazy how this dude continues to produce quality music through a variety of different projects over a relatively short amount of time.
I saw this pop up in my feed and thought "Fuck no, not Synth with my Black Metal!!!" But thought I'd at least give it a chance, glad I did. Very interesting, as someone who prefers their BM melancholic, having it be kinda uplifting is weird but in a good way.
Violet Cold might be to your liking too. Don't let the new album cover or first track fool you. The entire album is some of the most creative BM I've heard in a long time. Maybe not as heavy on the 80's style synths like this, but it's definitely tucked in if you're listening for it.
Not sure why you would think that at first. Most synthwave is usually pretty dark, based in cyberpunk, dystopian or even futuristic post apocalyptic themes.
Only 2 songs in and this is so GOOD. 2 of my favorite genres in the last couple of years in Blackgaze and Synthwave in one. I really can't believe how well they go together. Like a Dairy Queen Blizzard eaten in 1987.✨

That's something what about I dreaming 7 years ago, when I discovered what horror synthwave is - melodic death metal + synthwave will be the best musical connection what I can imagine
