In the first "1 person or 5 people" scenario, I always thought I'd likely "do nothing". The idea being not to get involved. Even though I do carry the mentality that "the more you can save the better", if I pull that lever, I am effectively offing someone. If I don't touch it, yeah five die because of my lack of action but... what the heck you fools doing on/tied to the train tracks anyway!?!? Basically I am not actively harming anyone because if I wasn't there to pull the lever, the result would be the same as me not pulling it. I hate that I've spent way too much time in my life seriously pondering these types of dilemmas. This game is crazy and I knew I'd get some good laughs as always!

It's just... whether it's a lever or a weapon or whatever, I couldn't bring myself to choose to end an innocent life by my hand even if it saved a greater number of innocent people. Not helping the five also is a choice that brings their demise so either way you can't escape being the reason someone perishes. Which is why I still agree with "save the most people". I think saving the 5 is the best choice. As to whether I myself could actually pull that lever, I already know I couldn't. Perhaps because I'm a coward. If the scenario was different to where 6 people would get hit but you could cause the train to veer but it would either hit 1 or 5, then yeah 5 is easy. They're all in danger so it's easy to act to save the most. All in all, it's messy getting into the reality of weighing life against life.

I feel like it was overlooked in the Trolley problem that pulling the lever makes you legally guilty of murder(?); but doing nothing doesn't, as you did nothing to directly "cause" their deaths, though it's all rather morally gray. Point is: in a nutshell, lotsa people are choosing murder levers.
