I'm watching Islamic videos on youtube for 14 years now and alhamdulillah I had never seen Ali "Dawah"... so I just went to his channel to see what bro. Abu Mussab was talking about... Well, all I saw was click-baits; clear desparation for view-collecting. And that's why I had never seen him before: Because I always try to stay away from garbage content. Couldn't even bother to open one of his videos. Walhamdulillah!

Whether you like or dislike Abu Mussab it is clear that he is not here to win fans or appease people. I been watching brother Abu mussab for years now. And I can testify he is saying the truth with regard his dahwah. Actually that's style is what I like about him. You know straight to the point.

i just discovered Abu Mussab's content and have been really impressed by his way of handling criticism and his way of pointing out truth. you tube add revenue is a great temptation and can easily back fire if you build a dawa organization on it, as yt can take your add money just as quick as they give it to you. just say the wrong (politically wrong) thing and you will see.

Depends on what you mean by saying deviant. If you mean that his videos have numerous things in them that are completely against Islam, then yes, he’s deviant. But I do believe that Ali is smart enough to take this advice.

Agree, and you don't have to be a scholar to understand this. One who gives dawah should at all times set an example to his brothers and sisters and those who disbelieve. And do not mix the truth with the falsehood, or mix the objectionable with what is permitted! You have to stand behind the truth 100%, and actually bring it out, without any compromise. He’s not an intellectual in the sense he hasn’t studied Islam formally in a traditional manner for at least several years ? And his mate has studied a bit traditionally but whether it’s Quran and sunnah we don’t know he doesn’t mention his teachers name . But mostly it’s all secular studies even Islam was taught in the secular institutions.
In Nigeria you must have classical mahdara do you have just one one Quran and Sunnah and it Sufism join it ! It’s the best learning you will have in life . People travel to get such knowledge .

Ustaad, I have been listening to your reminders on/off for many years (May be more than 10 years now?!). I do not always agree with every single point you make in some issues - however I have benefitted a lot and have also noticed significant development in your style and method without changing or watering down your stance. May Allah keep you firm and reward you abundantly. Your style also means I can easily share your videos with family, friends etc in English in a form that is appropriate for them.
Ali dawah lacks basic knowledge (speaking from first hand experience with him), yet is the face of internet dawah for most young Muslims. Unfortunately the hadith of the ruwaybiddah which the nabi salAllahu alayhi wassallam mentioned rings true in our day and age and that itself is worrying for the ummah.
Salamu Alikum brother. I honestly don’t listen a lot to both you and brother Ali, and I started listening to both of you recently so I am unbiased Insha’Allah. I see both sides, your side and brother Ali’s side. I appreciate the manners, approach, and the intake on each other’s videos. I think this back and forth have been very beneficial for the unbiased viewers, and I genuinely love both of you for the sake of Allah. My advice to both of you from a jaahil عامي like myself, is that you ignore the hate comments, don’t let shaytan get between you two, and don’t let him make you forget the priorities. The priority is number 1 that your deeds get accepted, and that the deeds do not get tainted with عجب and رياء and slander for other muslims (both you and Ali), and to know that in every second only Allah is the one who guides us to do the deeds not ourselves. Second priority, is to ensure that confusion amongst the muslims and hate does not spread and that the advice from both sides gets delivered in the best manner (which I think both of you did masha’Allah). May Allah guide all of us to the straight path, and keep our hearts soft and give us حسن الخاتمة.
I don't mean any hate or hostility at all, Insha'Allah. You see, there is this concept of enjoining the good and forbidding the evil in Islam which is one of the pillars of the deen, one of the reasons why we exist. The greatest group of human beings to ever exist were the Sahaba. Why? "You are the best nation brought forth for the people of the world: you enjoin right and you forbid wrong, and you believe in Allah." Surah Ale Imran 3/110. This is the reason why we are here on this Earth. You will see people like "Mufti" Menk who have no problem with enjoining the good, and who transgress as well by showing himself knitting in this feminist world and (to summarise) be a simp to his wife if she tells him to quack he will quack, and this is the rubbish he teaches to the Ummah. But you will never hear him speak against the evil like actively calling the Ummah and reminding them of the actions of Qawm Lut and this LGBT, and teaching the Muslims the Ayat of Qur'an and what the prophet said about these people and the warnings of those who step their path. Nope, none of that. And that's why this Ummah is going down the way it is, because we have people like this who are glorified & Ali Da'wah and the sort who have no knowledge and who do not or cannot forbid the evil because they have no knowledge. There is massive damage being done with these celebrity speakers and figures being around, you might not think of it much but its only when you study the Ahadeeth and the Qur'an (strictly & ONLY according to the understanding of the first 3 generations) you realise how much trouble we are in. I hope this explains why it is so important that people like Br.Abu Mussab addresses these people the way he does, Ali Dawah, Mufti Menk and whatever other clown there exists in order to remind the people in the hope they return. My brother, number 1 I know that Insha’Allah you mean well by giving me advice, but understand that not every person who is speaking about having great manners when giving advice doesn’t follow the way of the first 3 generations of the salaf. I think of myself, and Allah knows best, as someone who is about following the sunnah and is about the way of the salaf and I understand all your concern about brothers such as Mufti Menk and Ali Dawah. However, understand that addressing these brothers in such way that you mentioned is not serving the ummah but rather destroying it. People like Yasir Qadhi for example need to be warned against, who have clear deviation; but even these people need to be addressed publicly in a wise way. Why? Is it because we love them? No. Because we understand that there are muslim brothers and sisters who watch these people, so we need to be wise as to how we can take them away from these deviants without feeling like we are attacking them for no reason (because of human emotions). Our objective is to call people towards Allah’s way, not to cause chaos and to make people angry and confused. Manners and etiquettes is the way of the prophet even with the munafiqin (of course not all the time, but when it is needed). That is because the messenger of Allah understood the objective from what Allah taught him, which is the prosperity of the ummah not confusion and destruction. As far as people like Mufti Menk and Ali Dawah, these brothers are not perfect and they have some mistakes in their manhaj for sure. However, that does not give you or anyone the right to call them deviants and the right to be rude or disrespectful towards them. For many reasons. Number one, because giving advice to your fellow muslim who does not deliberately stray people away from Allah should be in the best manner. Number two, me and you are not scholars to know who is a clear deviant and who is not. Number three, this will have the opposite effect on their followers by feeing defensive which is not what we want. Number 4 and is the most important, is that you be careful not to eat the flesh of your muslim brother who could be greater in the sight of Allah than you. Know that these mistakes that you mentioned about them are indeed mistakes, but it doesn’t justify you backbiting and slandering someone calling for the path of Allah and the sunnah of the prophet. As far as I know, I haven’t seen a reputable scholar call them deviants. You want to address the problem, address it and that is encouraged. However, you slandering them and backbiting is NOT justified in anyway shape or form by any scholar. That is why you see brother Abu Mussab in this same video apologizing and being lenient and saying it is not justified what he did, because he knows that it is unjustified backbiting. This is my advice to you brother. Know that it is Allah who guides, and don’t ever think that you are free from sin and that you can’t be in their place. Never let the shaytan make you backbite your muslim brothers, it is a very muddy road.

U r a Muslim for Allah's sake remember. Follow the salaf to the best of your ability and stay away from ahlul bid'ah . Know that u aren't a manager of anyone's affairs. The Sahabas were alarmed and The Prophet s.a.s calmed them by mentioning them being Yajuj and Majuj but always leave it to the jahils to conveniently leave out that which calms and brings about less worry in the Ummah, no instead we must always feel like every fulan is going to hellfire.
I lost respect for Ali Dawah when he started getting the video have ads. I was watcher of his contents in early day and he mentioned back in 2012 that he is never doing ads to keep his sincerity in check and he is doing this channel for sake of Allah. Literally it is sad that he went against what he said and also among other things when he was promoting umm Abdulla and co when they were so wrong. May allah give us all guidance. The fact Ali Dawah didn’t address it on his channel but on dubious channel not much heard of says it all. Not man enough to address it properly.
I watched Ali Dawahs response on sp files and he seems to be speaking from a place of hurt and he makes valid points, your reply to that question was over the top and more of an attack which you have now clarified. U too make valid points about the ads and so on in your clarification and hopefully Ali will look into this. He is one of those brothers who seems to be sincere in what they do and take the bad aside which we hope he rectifies, he is an average guy who wants to speak to non muslims about coming to Islam, the ummah needs guys like this as we do guys like abu musab. Cancelling each other is not good for anyone. I follow Ali's channel as I do Abu Musab. There is benefit in both.
TBH Ali's channel have lots of harm in it. Especially the fitnah if women. Prophet warned about this fitnah. Keep that in mind. I would suggest not to watch Ali's content unless he stop spreading the image of women in his thumbnail and video.
When it comes to having ads in RU-vid videos did you know that RU-vid recently changed their policy. They added something called RU-vid's right to monetization. This means that now RU-vid can put ads on your videos without your consent and without giving ad revenue. They started doing so for some channels already.
@@OneWayToParadise Many channel who are worried about ads have already uploaded either a post or a video warning that any ads that shows up in their video is not from them but by RU-vid. which is quite clarifying to the audience that the content is serious and sincere.
@@OneWayToParadise Salamoualeykoum, I'm sorry. My intention wasn't to discredit your arguments. I'm with you on the permissibility of monetizing through ads you have no control on. I just wanted to make the earlier comment so that when someone in the future sees a muslim who have ads on his videos he wouldn't immediately jump to conclusions. With RU-vid right to monetization they will not alert you when they'll start running ads on your behalf. I'm sure that the notice you received tells you that they can do so but not when. As of now RU-vid is testing this on specific channels.

I go to the same masjid he goes for jummah. Every time I see him he just come 10mins before jummah prayer. The sad thing I saw recently he was wearing shoes on mosque prayer mat and praying.

I follow both brothers from day one. Ali did say he put the ads on because youtube allows people to now filter the ads but the filter is not working on his ads all the time. If he can set it to just show Islamic ads then having ads should be fine but if he cannot then he needs to turn it off.
Abu Mussab is an Arab despite him speaking English and they have their own way which is rough to show jokes (even physically many Arabs can play together in a rough way but they are still joking ) . I can relate to Abu mussab’s way .

Islamic content should either boost Imaan or increase knowledge. Reaction videos do neither, they are sectarian ignorance most people watch for entertainment purposes.. At least there’s some good will in this.
I feel my brother, that it is perspective. Because many may not notice, but his videos, and his reactions, may not cover the creedal aspects of Islam, but it shows how the “alternatives” in society is so denigrating, it naturally brings you back to Islam, and constantly reminds you of the favors of Allah, and what a blessing it is that he has revealed the Quran and Islam to us.

People seem to underestimate the power of assumptions. One does not need to say directly "uncovered women, music and dancing is halal" or any other evil. A simple association of these things with oneself or one's work (channel in this case) is enough to send a wrong message. I remember when I used to watch some Muslim RU-vidrs doing what non Muslims generally do, I legit used to be confused and wondered whether it's actually permissible. It seems strange looking back now that I even considered their permissibility just cause they were Muslims now that I got even some sort of meager knowledge, but that's what happens when you have zero knowledge. You can't tell the right from wrong. You assume, "Oh look, he's Muslim, and he's doing x, y, z, does that mean it's OK?" Seeking knowledge really does put things in right perspectives.
