To everyone thinking this is a new song, actually it isn't "Saru" was originally featured in a compilation album called "Omoibana", which had lots of other Vocaloid producers together, and the concept was to compose a song based on a flower or something along these lines. Abu-Se-Ken apparently chose Lotus, and this song was born I recommend that you guys check the "Omoibana" version out too, since this new version is slightly different than the original
Monkey English Translation by Releska Oh yeah, I watched that kung fu movie. I was absorbed in its cheap tricks. He doesn’t drink, but has some Shoushinshu then goes drunken monkey fighting. (1) He cried “revenge upon pitch-black Shaka!” but was half-killed when he stole the lotus tea. He’d only refuse that old rag, smeared by and woven into the thieving sludge. Gramps, dad, mum, and my big bro were the only people I idolised. Love or romance, male or female, nobody taught me the script. (2) What the hell is love? I’m a kid but don’t make fun of me. Still, isn’t this peace of mind what they mean when they say “act your age!” In travelling, companionship; in life, sorrow. The world is full of demons. (3) He was born from the passions of youth, a baby clinging to straw and laughing. He was bitter yet kept going. I was in the same rut. I’m a monkey. It sucks. I don’t care, I don’t care, I don’t care about anything, you bastard, I don’t wanna die until I know it all. I want to love, I want to feel romance. But I don’t wanna forgive the version of me who rejects my homeland. Who the hell am I? I’m a sopping mess, crying my heart out. I’m so lonely, why am I so lonely? What the hell is love? Is it something I can have? Won’t you cry for me when I die a natural death? We’re alive, we’re all alive! Drink the Shoushinshu, youngster! Whether it’s love or romance, those bastards eat, melt and mix together, and then monkeys are born. In travelling, companionship; in life, kindness. There is no real devil in the world. “I’m fine being a monkey.” Once I said that, I had a child, raised them, and slaughtered the snake. I gulp down foreign tea that’s been boiled again and again.
Footnotes from the original post: (1) 将進酒 (shoushinshu) appears to be a reference to a poem of the same name by the Chinese poet Li Bai (李白). The phrase seems to be an invitation to start drinking, though it’s used in this song as if it’s the name of a specific drink. For more info and a Japanese translation of the original poem, see this resource. (2) 序破急 (johakyuu) refers to the three-structure form of traditional Japanese performances: opening, middle, and climax (end). It has been broadly translated as ‘script’ here. (3) These two phrases are corrupted versions of the proverbs that appear later in the song.
I was amazed by how you combined the traditional Chinese music and jazz elements in such a perfect way. The whole arrangement is just so unique and fantastic! Thank you Abu-Se-Ken san for creating this masterpiece.
Monkey Abuse-ken Oh, that's right, I saw the gongfu movie. I was into the childish tricks. He never drank alcohol, but he drank Shojinshu, and he was drunk only with his chi, the Drunken Monkey Fist. He was half killed when he took lotus tea from the black Buddha to take revenge on him. I was not willing to accept such a rag, coated in sludge and woven with sludge. I longed to be called "Jee-chan," "To-chan," "Kaa-san," "Nee-san," and so on. No one taught me anything about love, love, women, or men. What the hell is love? Don't make fun of me, even if I am a child. Don't make fun of me for being a child, but I feel relieved because I know what it means to be a child. Is that what you are saying? The journey is the companion of the road, and the world is merciful. The world is full of demons. I cling to the child who gave birth to me with youthful indiscretion as a straw and laugh. I was a child, but I knew I was in the same rut as him. It was a monkey. It's the worst. I don't know, I don't know, what's the matter with you, damn you, I don't want to die until I realize it. I want to love. I want to love. I want to be in love, I want to love, but I can't allow myself to be a man who hates his own country. What am I? I'm a lonely man, why am I so lonely? I'm lonely, I'm lonely, I'm lonely, I'm lonely. What the hell is love, that I have to give it to you? When I die a happy death, can't you cry for me? I'm alive, we're alive! Drink your sake, young man. Drink your sake, you young man. Love, love, love, all that crap, eat it, melt it, mix it, and it will give birth to a monkey. The journey is a companion, the world is a mercy. There are no demons in this world. The last thing you want is to say, "I don't care if it's a monkey," and then have a baby, nurture it, and then eat a snake. Slaughter. Man that was quick! You beat me to it. The first line seems good, not sure about the second line though, I've translated that part. It's a bit tricky, but should be something along the lines of "I indulged in something like a child." Good job either way!
@@idk-qc9zy I feel so many of kikuo and abuse fans are always talking about how dark and traumatic their songs are. The two producers are nothing alike in sound and besides their lyrics focus on darker subjects. It gets really repetitive and bland
Kikuo's songs are music that makes you sad in the basement, and gives lonely people a little affirmation. On the other hand, I think Abseken's music is fictional, but it exists, it's crazy, and it's the most comfortable music in the world. I quit suicide when I listened to Abseken's music. I think Enjoying the difference in music with Vocaloid P is one of the ways to enjoy Vocaloid. Sorry for the poor English
Holy _shit_ The second the video started playing, it felt like the music immediately swarmed my body and danced around it I don’t know what the lyrics are yet (of course it’s a new song so no translations have been made) but this is an absolute banger
I'm working on a translation as we speak, first line is about watching a kungfu movie, im on the second line but the third kanji character is stumped on. Sounds like "hanashi"or "kanashi" so hopefully i can find something
@@usoppfangirl8153 Good luck on that! But there’s a thing you can do where you can draw characters and letters you wouldn’t find on the English keyboard on the Google translate app and it’ll show what you’re trying to type. I’ve been doing that for a while and that could help you
There's a translation in the comments now but this song was actually made around 8 months ago for OMOIBANA, a group project where each producer made a song about a flower for the album (this song's flower is lotus) :D! If you'd like to hear it, the original mix is available in Spotify and it actually sounds slightly different than the one in this MV >:)c
NEW SONG! Unfortunately I’ll be at school when this premiers but I can’t wait to listen to it :)) EDIT: OMG THIS IS AMAZING??? Your style of music is always so unique I love it so much!!
