Another thing worth mentioning is that if you’re in bloodlust and land your ultimate, if you manage to land any m1s, your opponents potential health just immediately gets taken away, meaning it’s worth using right after taking someone’s stock
I discovered a flaw in the hawk style, it seems that in order to get his title you have to do a takedown in his base mode without it being any more mode...which made me angry.
idk about hawk being for trash/new players, the lean back dodge i can think could be hard to get used to, yknow? but still, the reach on that m2? Gosh.
I feel like the dev loves Hawk they get so many perks. Sway back dodge, counter damage, and a special ability to even give you more damage and range. It also has a fast m1.
I think a good way to balance hawk would to be if you completely whiff a punch your bar loses progress making it possible to go back to normal or bloodlust
one thing i noticed with hawk: sometimes when you m2, your m1 will follow up if you m1 after m2 which is useful for countering ppl if they try to fight back or they try to dash back
Yeah.... And there's tons of examples. To name a few: Hawk(yes, the entire thing), Hammer's damage on Body Blow being basically Iron Fist with no other downside, Shotgun being bugged for a while, Wolf's M2s being the fastest in the game and now bugged to be a true combo every. Single. Time... Plus doing almost Smash damage. Hitman's M1 range, Slugger's old M2 before nerf, and so many more issues that Drowning just absolutely botched balance on.
I get he's working on this alone, but seriously, how do some of these get added? Hammer doing better than Iron Fist with M1 damage and speed of basic and block from average styles with absolutely no downside to the Body Blow, adding maybe .5 second dodge frame and calling it good while not thinking about making damage non antiheal, the ENTIRETY of the Hawk rework, letting Wolf spam the specialty, letting Slugger knock down in 9 hits? None of that is okay, even if it is one dude!
@@MyShortsAreWet_ that's what I'm saying! It's bugged, so the second M2 is entirely impossible to dodge. If the first hit, second is confirmed. If the first misses, the second comes out faster than pretty much any style can dodge again. It's a lose-lose situation. And the first comes out about as fast as an average M1.... Not okay.
Im hawk main since it was released. Its was good style every time bcs of its counter dmg and sway back. But now devs made it one of the strongest styles in the game. I dont want them nerf my bird(
One thing that drives me crazy fighting the Hawk style and the absurdly lying range and the backwards dodge spam, besides, it's a good style in the right hands, but for me this style really comes after Rework hasn't changed much, but I hate this style from the bottom of my soul.
Iron Fist seem like a bad style on paper but on practical it has this one unintentional gimmcik where the opponent gains less ultimate bar when fighting iron fist, this is mainly due to you needing to deal damage and take damage to gain ult but with iron fist chipping its own HP away the opponent is only able to gain so much of their ultimate bar. In a match an iron fist can use their ult 2 times while the opponent can only use ult once, this bug has been under the radar because people underestimate the style so much and downplaying it. But being able to use 80% damage ult 2 times in a match is pretty op imo

I know the subject of the video is to show how strong the Hawk style is, but I just wanted to point out something a little strange about the quest for exclusive style titles (in this case, my Hawk style quest).The number simply doesn't change, it's stuck at 180 KO's and the number doesn't increase, I don't even know how many hundreds of matches I've played with the Hawk style and the number simply doesn't change. When hawk bug get fixed everyone will just use wolf since it has no downsides like meter. I have fun with ghost and shotgun mostly if you can use it right you can win any person even a freedom user. (did not encounter slugger or ironfist)
They should make another mode for hawk when you fully fill the bar that makes him automatically perfect dodge any attacks for 10 seconds. That should be a good way to balance such a bad style
Do another iron fist guide and make suggestions for the style, I love Kamogawa as a character and would love to see his style getting more love. Right now the m1s are too slow/predictable and the damage tradeoff for m2's speed isn't worth it anymore since slugger exists. Edit: 5 (almost) consecutive videos about legendaries and their upsides, what's one more for Mr.Kamogawa right?
The scarry part is that the way the swings are you cant tell if its a heavy or a light that hit you so by the time you realize it you are at about a quarter of health and pinned in a corner
Most Hawk gameplay is usually just waiting and spamming sway back or people abusing the range like Hitman. Thats why I stopped using it, It felt kinda cheap winning in that style.
Next update predicts:hawk will recive ghost jab e will get buffed with damage and range,ghost won't be able to use m1 or m2 it's gonna be a no pounch style and smash will be myth
also hawk can pd on second dodge. if he sways back and cancels it with a side dodge he can still pd your attack. i fought a hawk player and they did that 3 times to me...
Hawk is the best style for new players, swayback can make a new player perfect dodge like a god, will carry in dmg and speed, even after all you said, i still think sway back + back dashing is the problem, now it has no weakness if your guard is low you just back dash or spam swayback, if you back dash you have a crazy range to punish, i think it will be good if they remove the back dash again, so hawk would be a close range style that doesnt gets any advantage from long range, and has actually a weakness with his low block

Before the rework I'd literally never used hawk before. Now I main it because it has incredible range and can be used as a counter style and insane m1 damage. Best legendary in the game and can make hitman users upset
In my opinion wolf is more annoying, it’s hard to dodge when u have lag. They should make it where u can’t land white fang if u don’t land the first m2 or make the second m2 slower

Things they gotta fix NOW: ●Wolf -Everyone is TIRED of people just spamming White Fang 24/7,They should rework it by making the *White Fang* to deal more damage in exchange of speed ●Hawk (this video say it all) -Stupid range -damage. -Staring contest ●Slugger(especifically the m2) -The m2 animation is literally broken rn,For both sides,After an m2 your heavy punch animation still goes for like 7 seconds in slow motion ●Ippo(same thing) Ippo's DempseyRoll ability animation just breaks after using it,Your enemy gotta watch you going boingboing the entire match(this could count as an advantage ngl) And sum things comment them down there
what is those frames that you can literally see that YOU hit the person, but it cuts off and you didn't? because, honestly... it makes me want give up more and more of the game, since it happens to every match... forgive my english, its not my language ;-;
I think there is no shame to tell that hawk only mode bar is fine because if the enemy decides to go passive and only punish you by backdash spamming there is not much a hawk player can do since hawk dash sucks and walkspeed is slow it should be fast to get bloodlust because base mode sucks, and bar decays fast anyway.
@@epstein_victim not exactly unless you are in ectasy mode they can play around you and wait for your bar to go down if you hit first they can walk back and punish you
I already like it the way it is, good for aggressive but fix the range and atleast remove the backdash, having a safe play after a sway is unfair(sway can 45/55% dodge feints)

hawk is not bad but it being nerfed could leave the experience the same as the Old one since honestly what would be bad would be the Backdash of the others, it is this type it is a fast style the damage is quite effective for those who are focused on attacking head on and not being passive , and I honestly don't think Hawk should be nerff
ngl i countering hawks easily with shotgun style, since his 3 m1+barrage doing so much damage (hawk has bad block that why my barrage is his nightmare for them)
