old Assassin's Creed is more on the Assassin thing while new Assassin's Creed focuses on graphics and other whatnot openworld actvities. I do know that older Assassin's Creed is open world but most open world activities are about assassinating a certain target unlike the new Assassin's Creed where magically you can enter the realm of Odin and meet Loki and stuff.
I feel it's the lore of the conspiracy theories that made it so awesome. Walking away from that and away from ezios bloodline really lost the lure for me in the games and moving away from assassinations and going into God of war style fighting where you fight aliens in the form of monsters was even stupider. It should have been like a dlc not a main point of the game. But that's just my humble opinion. The game lost it's whole direction and took a 180. Doesn't mean it's bad just different and not all people like different even though I understand it from the point of the creators of the game.
when he kept running and then jumping sideways off the walls I was like "damn this guy is having some trouble with the controls" but hes actually just the fucking goat and nobody has ever been better than this man
@@ayeyochoc prolly just an oops. im assuming every move is planned out ahead and he's taking actions from memory, so he probably thought he needed to do it there, but actually just misremembered.
Because Assassin’s Creed took heavy influence from prince of Persia, with both of them being made by Ubisoft. The first ac game was actually going to be a prince of Persia game before it was changed to assassins creed.
That whole parkour sequence is the reason why this game holds a special place in my heart ,it feels so cinematic yet so natural and it takes skill to do that ,u cant just hold one button then dashes thru the whole terrain like the new ones
@@97BJay By saying new ones , i mean the rpg type ones , the last 3 is purely rpg ,origins still has a bit of the assassin feel but odyssey and valhalla parkour is just pure garbage
I like the old and new, the old took skill but it killed my fingers the way I had to hold the controller to do it, the new one feels nice and smooth with less button input
@@mihah9415 Odyssey and Valhalla aren't Garbage, they're Garbage in terms of AC standard but if they were different games then they'd be good, great even
i have been replaying this collection prefer this over the newer ones A simple straightforward story, doesn't take over 2000hrs to complete like the new ones the characters are way easier to connect or even relate too
I agree with you man I love assassin's Creed and it's new settings but I hate how it takes like two thousand hours to beat the damn games old assassin's Creed though gold
@@williamtruett3421 the new ac is like an rpg and it dosent even focus on assassin. The new ac is good but they should maybe not name it as assassins creed
@@oribitroll2334 yeah that's true Valhalla was good should have focused more on the assassins like it's been how long since we've had an assassin's Creed game where you're really an assassin not someone a thousand years before the Creed or something
The guard throwing the apple at 1:18 shoots it straight, on target, and with enough force to pulverise the apple on the wall behind Ezio. Dude was born in the wrong time, should’ve been around for baseball
The fact that you didn't kill those workers was a nice and realistic touch . You really adhered to the first tenet of the Creed " Stay your blade from the flesh of the innocent"
@@capybara9521 wether or not they truly count as innocent doesn’t matter too much. At 9:52 the Templar says “will you kill innocent workers” so i by not killing them I proved him wrong
Damn played all Assasins 2 trilogy almost 3 times each, and didnt encountered this nice story made quests, like this aqueduct, just like Prince of Persia. Nice play man, using wall run to jump to the side, something im using even in Unity, when i needed that :D
@@five2019If I remember well this missions are unlocked if you pre-ordered the game. In my case I played this missions in The Ezio Collection, because that editions included this pre-order missions
This kind of stuff is what makes AC Brotherhood my overall favorite in the series. The side content is so good: Templar Lairs, Leonardo's War Machines, Lairs of Romulus, Animus VR Training.
Wow, your parkour in these seems surgical. I especially liked the very quick movements at 0:50, the catch-up and assassination at 2:50, your use of the guardrail to boost your jump at 13:05 and, finally, how you just had enough with the papal guard and tried to shoot him at 15:20 but failed to do so because he attacked you ^^
@@FarazIFM well it's the little details that make your videos so interesting to watch! Both to learn how to improve my game and for entertainment value.
I Love that the templar Boss actually speaks German and falls to Ezio Nein Nein Nein Nein😂. Simply because i am German, i Love that fact in the English Dub.
@@FarazIFM I can definitely tell that It's not first try Not even a gamer god can do that in first try So I appreciate your hard work on retrying this part so we can enjoy a completely perfect smooth run like a real Michael Bay's movie
i have recently been replaying thru all the ezio games, im currently on brotherhood and something i have noticed that never fails to make me laugh is since i am much better at games now as i was when i was younger, during these chase segments i always catch up to the enemy way too quickly and have to akwardly let them get some distance because im not supposed to kill them yet lol
I enjoy Brotherhood for its refined and extended mechanics but despite how pointless the den defense was in revelations, there was something I did like about it.
Now I finally notice that two guards are clean up the floor with using their mace as a broomstick. Still, Ezio running parkour with some struggles appearr and the sound breathing hard during climbing and chasing the target is more realistic for me when compared to the modern day AC more smooth fluid like a immortal guys with everything provided without needing to afraid... And yes, Old AC feels more like what it's meant to be Assassin's.
Man, I had forgotten how much mechanical depth free running had in the originals. Then, you needed environmental awareness, had a variety of moves and ways to make the platforming quicker, more efficient and satisfying. Now it's only holding down a button and watching the character climb. That's such a loss.
Nice detail giving the Papal Guard a German accent (I don't know the regional dialect). The popes had been hiring Swiss mercenaries as early as 1471; Pope Sixtus VI was the first to do this.
The series was never the same after the Ezio Collection. It had style, charm, genuine comedy, and a grand narrative. To think after all this time the series never produced anything quite on the same level again. You might be able to make an exception for Black Flag, but that's really about it.
@@RRai2000 Well, let's just talk about Origins for a minute. When did Bayek and Amunet form the Hidden Ones? Toward the very end of the game. Was there any Brotherhood we could call down? Nope. No Brotherhood system. In fact most of the Hidden Ones content was locked behind DLC, and even then it didn't compare to a game like Revelations. That's not what I'd call a good AC game. I think it was poorly handled. Sure it had potential, but the Assassin stuff was clearly not Ubisoft's main focus of the game. As for why I say AC has largely died in general, take a look at who is no longer there - the creators. Patrice Desilets and Jade Raymond are gone. Lucy was killed off. Desmond died. Juno was killed in a book. And did they do anything with Desmond's father or Elijah? Nope. Not to my knowledge. So the vast majority of the original characters, even the creators themselves are gone. Most recently the games are less and less about the secret war between Assassins and Templars and much more about powers and Isu. It's simply not the same series any longer. So if I come off as harsh, it's only because I was with the series when it began and I had high hopes for it. I thought by now the series would have peaked in all the places that mattered, but instead we got a dead chosen one, a failed Unity, a switch to roleplay that has very little to do with Assassins, and perhaps worst of all no real Brotherhood. Ubisoft could still turn things around, but if their track record is any indication, I have almost zero hope for this franchise now - it's too wrapped up in exploitative practice. That's why my answer for most things AC is just play the Ezio and Kenway collections and you'll have played the best the series has to offer. There are even some more hardcore than I am that say you should simply stop after AC3, because that's when any meaningful narrative in the modern day ends. Desmond saves the world, Vidic is defeated, and the war probably continues, which is the true message of the games, that utopia is just a dream, and the war for peace never really ends. Anyway, I'm going to stop ranting. I hope this at least cleared up my position.
@@RRai2000 Dude, what are you on about? If you want to discuss AC then let's discuss it. But if you just want to troll with comments about traditional fans hating AC and you being offended for no reason then I'ma head out.
the parkour in the previous games just feels cool. I like the stories in the later AC games like origins, odyssey and valhalar too, but the parkour just feels diffferent, just feels not as cool as the previous AC.
I used to dislike the parkour in the first games because I felt it wasn't very precise at times. After watching this it just turns I don't know how to play.
There’s some really good videos out there explaining how the parkour works in this game. And when you get it to work consistently it becomes really fun :)
new games focus to much in combat and fetch side quest than actual good side activities like the Ezio games allong side even AC3 and AC4 had allot good content especially 4 how can 6 games can have more souls than the rest..
Truly one of the greatest game series of all time, especially with how accurate the real life location history is :) it sucks it started going downhill after Revelations, for me anyway.
It's sad to think that most of us are still yearning for these type of games, and have to replay them to be satisfied. The audience base totally changed for games and nowadays it's just grinding instead of connecting to the character/story. I just hope it changes one day
I agree. I think the biggest loss of the newer games is not having a parkour system with a lot of control I feel like a better parkour system will be a huge leap into getting the series back to embracing its uniqueness
I see that you mastered the movement in AC. Whyle i was watching i was thinking of how i would do it and in some parts you did it way better that i would have done it. Really impressive.
I don’t think ive commented since I’ve subbed but great video! Idk how I’ve never played that mine mission but it looks great and I love how u didn’t kill any of the miners in combat
Thanks I never played these missions before either. I found these missions played them and decided to try and refine it and make a video out of it. Glad you enjoyed
@@nevidomuy3640 No point really. If you have time to spend raging on some artificial milestones then trophy hunting is for you. The games I play I don't like to just finish it, but complete it 100%, milk every pennies' worth.
God, I hated the chase sequence of the second templar lair because the camera kept fucking me over. I died like 10 times all because the camera made ezio jump to his death. I was *this* close to just deleting my save game and starting over because I felt like such a loser for not being able to flawlessly complete the lair on my first try.
Something I really hate about old Assassins Creeds are the cluncky, annoying climbing controls and speeds. This looks so fucking slow I get motion sickness.
I never got to see these in the original version of AC Brotherhood. If I remember right, they were exclusive to the PS3 version of the game. I had the game on 360.
I miss the Ubisoft that I love before 2015, but now it is heartbreaking to see the Ubisoft is destroying Assassin's Creed as a title with the release of Valhalla
He's Swiss . Papal guards started being exclusively swiss around this period . As for the gladiator helmet , It's a spanish morion (the conquistador helmet) with a visor added onto it (which wasn't the case historically)

The thing with old game is the dev put so much passion and even know their players playing the game. It so different with today games because they do it only for money.
