I just love Axl's total respect. It's not about him. When he isn't singing he goes to the back and lets Angus and the band take the limelight. Top bloke
I read a lot of comments about how he was a total prick in his youth (maybe he was maybe he wasn't I honestly don't know) but I can say with certainty he was 100% respectful here, and deserves credit for it.
So he should, these guys are legends and were touring when he was in diapers and their still going axl killed GNR with all his pouting and crying and stopping shows..Mike drop!
I'm the biggest AC/DC fan to walk the earth, and I've been the Angus in a tribute band, and I think Axl Rose did a kick ass job filling in. He absolutely surpassed my expectations and screamed his lungs out like an animal. As much I wanted to hate it, I can't find anything bad to say.
@@jasonwood5212 it was definitely the most professionalism and respect I've ever seen Axl display. In fairness to Axl in his younger days, I believe he was probably suffering some serious mental illness and his idea of treating it was numbing it with drugs and alcohol. I know he had a traumatic childhood, and I'm sure that he, like many others, turned to substance as a (poor) coping mechanism.
You watch this and you just have to accept that Axl Rose is giving this all he's got. He's freaking nailing this song from start to end. Holding nothing back. The legend rides again.
Thank you! It’s nice to know that someone doesn’t have an opinion based on some ulterior motive or something that they read about Axl 20/30 yrs ago. He was better than Brian and I am a fan of AC/DC and Brian. I had the privilege of seeing this show.
Axl just delivered. Unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to see this tour, but man it must have been something to watch. Even if it’s not the original formation.
How many singers can say they've been leading vocals for Guns and Roses, Queen and AC/DC. In my opinion Axl is one of the best to ever grace the Rock scene.
Shoot to Thrill is one of the most difficult songs to sing. Killed my vocal cords on this song many times. And Axl killed it! Mad respect to you Axl. Don’t know why I’m shocked, Axl’s voice was made for this. I would love for them to create new songs together.
Could have done it possibly being just a cobbled together concert footage video with studio audio but then again, Axl did get hired last minute to temporarily take over for Brian as to not gave him go completely deaf. Maybe they didnt have enough time to think of that possibility
Axl's breathing is effortless ... when he pulls away the mic he is taking in a full lungs of fresh Air each time ... Takes years to learn to do it so smoothly .. He has come back in a huge way . Also love the way he makes sure he steps back to let Angus be out Front and Center ..
@@freedomisslavery6840 He used to have a 5 Octave Range ... Sadly I think his Voice is kind of Shot , if you compare it to his Prime days , but he is trying . they seem to purposely turn down the volume of the vocals .
Yeah hate to break it to u bro but there not real they buy in loads of fake cardboard stand up amp boxes to fill the stage the actual amps round the back plugged into the PA
@Biliary Clinton I agree, Angus has always said there are no empty cabinets on his stage. I was 14 rows from the stage at one of their concerts and I believe him! lol
Touring with AC/DC was the best thing that could have happened to Axl Rose. It made him more profession and way more responsible as a musician. He learned how to not be the center and to work as a team. Be on time and to do practice runs. It made Guns and Roses stronger as well. Axle realized he was the guest in someone else's house and he showed respect to AC/DC by working with them instead of wanting them to work with him.
Because Axl sings the GNR songs all the time. Even if you love your songs, it's gets boring after you tour those songs for 30+ years. I'm sure Paul McCartney is somewhat sick of Hey Jude and Let It Be. But with AC/DC, Axl is a huge fan and their songs that mostly fit in his range, and he doesn't often sing them live so it's more exciting
Did you even watch an AC/DC gig with Brian ? Axhole is standing in the back because that's what he's supposed to do on this song, it's not a matter of respect.
This is awesome. I love the second coming of Axl, and that he's on form and having a great time, and I love how respectful he is of AC/DC. He hangs back and gives Angus a lot of room to be the 'frontman', but he still rocks it.
The tour with AC/DC and the GN'R reunion tour have shown that the near-impossible has happened... Axl has grown up. Good for him (and better for the fans).
Lifelong superfan of the man. A lot of, rather trying at times. He's like a completely different human being from 4/1/2016 onwards. And yes, so great for we fans.
I saw them on this tour and Axl was absolutely awesome. I was going in a little skeptical. Man, was I wrong. His voice was top notch and did a great job letting the guys in AC/DC have the spotlight the whole time. He handled the job perfectly. Well done.
While it may be easier to hear the lyrics with others.....Axl has a unique ability to hit chords not many others can and the screech and tone makes his voice perfect for rock songs and this one aswell.
I was a HUGE skeptic when this was announced - I thought it would be a bunch of Axl bullshit, but Jesus fucks, this gave me goosebumps. Axl humbly killed it and it was a pleasure to watch and be so wrong.
I wasn't comparing I was saying ac dc and guns n roses are the two best bands ever I will agree that angus is a better guitar player than slash so stop taking my words out of context
Axl did a great job. I don't think anyone else could have filled Brian's shoes like Axl did.Glad to see Brian back and new music coming out from one of the most bad ass bands on the planet. WAY TO KILL!!!
Yes, agreed. To still have the energy/stamina t do a show like this is praise-worthy. But i cant help thinking Brian has a better grasp of "stage-craft" than his stand-in. Axle R is good, but a different syle that doesnt quite fit AC/DC's time-proven formula.
The weird thing about Axl is that his voice is erratic as hell. Not gonna lie, I feel like he sounds better here on this song now than he would’ve 20-30 years ago, yet at the same time he manages to butcher some of his own GNR material. Maybe it’s the Bipolar.
@ I agree, surprised me too. I think that he understood his place relative to Angus in this venture. Bon Scott's voice was one of a kind, though, his on stage antics weren't as cool as Axl. lol
bustergoldenrod when comes to higher notes, axl manages to distortion his voice very powerfully (my Michelle for example) but on medium notes axl voice losses straight/power at his age. Fortunately most (every) ac/dc songs are on very high vocal notes, very comfortable for axl.
bustergoldenrod that's the only voice he has. sounds like a transvestite with his ba!!* in a vise. not that I have anything against transvestites lol. he's bad then and now.
bustergoldenrod It's a kinda like this: you show your "service", then you gathers fans from AC/DC to Guns N Roses too. Seems like when Axl is Insecure about his capacity he blows all limits singing like never. But he's so conforble singing in GN'R that he feels more upset to relax a little. He chooses the songs and the parts that he'll give 100% of power, then, the others ones he does more softly
Wow that was fucking brilliant. Ac/dc and the stage king front man. what amazing moment in rock this is. So much respect and love for all playing. rocking, hard.
Bad news..that's called tinnitus..I walked out of a concert in 1996 and my ears never stopped ringing.....It's an early sign of hearing loss...Damage to my ears is easily the worst thing that has happened to me..It's a permanent degenerative disease that affects your entire life....
I am really sorry this tragedy struck you and and many concert goers over the years. I hope in the age we live now, there would be an alternate to assist you if not a cure. On a lighter note, you could add this to your bed time story telling to the lads!
No cures the damage is permament..It has ruined my life and left me in a chronically suicidal state..Hearing loss and tinnitus lead to many suicides every year..They are the #1 isssues that men and women who are veterans of war face
+David Pearl I'm sorry David. I didn't mean to bring up a bad subject. I don't mean to offend hearing impaired people. I'm disabled myself. Lost my stomach to cancer. :0( Although the ringing went away for me. My hearing is not as acute as before. We lose the ability to hear some tones. God Bless the veterans!!!! Maximum respect!!
This is a piece of history my friends... Axel with Acdc !!! I know most of you hate this, BUT for me, it will remains in the history of rock n roll !!!
I love how he doesn't overshadow angus or acdc for that matter. he is patient before coming on.he does what he does best without trying to steal the thunder
I was at this show and Axl Rose was a fucking MONSTER on the vocals, he killed it, every song, especially all the Back in Black songs and Bon Scott material.... The Let There Be Rock scream tore the roof off the place... he was absolutely awesome.
alan Cutler who? Axl or Brian? Cause if your talking about axl, you clearly haven’t listened to Guns N’ Roses cause he has got one hell of a vocal range
