In this video you will learn about vfd what is vfd what is ac drive you will learn easy with practical, as per name vfd a source used for up and down frequency that is vfd variable frequency drive .mostly people know its definition theories but not knowing how its actually work. On this video you learn how to power wiring of ac drive and how its control wiring working .today we use Asynchronous induction motor for easy understand . So friends please watch full video i promise you never disappoint.lets start with basic how ac drive work now you saw a block diagram of ac drive at input side 415 ac voltage this waveform is sine wave this ac voltage conversation to direct current through rectifier this dc voltage conversation to ac voltage through inverter as per our set point frequency we got it through this inside conversation now we start the practical we use asynchronous induction motor it is 1.5 kw as per its name plate and we use yaskawa ac drive for control this motor. This ac drive also 1.5 kw as per its name plate you saw its control circuit board That is used for control wiring now check how much voltage we use in R, S, T input terminal now its show in multimeter between two phase is 415 that is ok and now we check its ampere by clamp meter it shows zeros because we not started the motor so we use control wiring to start motor when short s1 and sc terminal motor run forward now one of the application of ac drive is it power saver now we check practically at output side 2 hp motor take 1.5 ampere now we check at input side it shows 0.23 ampere now you see how much difference between input and output that is power saving and allso we check output ampere in ac drive display it shows 1.25 ampere now we allso changed that frequency using display or other sources. Now we use other application that is acceleration and deceleration by changing the parameters c1-01 its default value is 0.5 so i changed it to 1.5 now we start motor
at frequency 38. Motor run quick and stop quickly so we use some parameter in ac drive c1 01 its default time 0.5 now we increase to 2.5 and than start motor it starting time take to accelerate is 2.5 and stop time is default 0.5 so we change its deceleration time in parameter c1-02 to 10.0 and now start again you easily understood what is deceleration and for better understand we change c1-01 parameter again 2.5 to 12.5 and than short wire s1 and sc motor starting time or pickup time is 12.5 second after it run at normal speed these applications used for safety of motor Gear and other mechanic fault. Now we use other application that is control its frequency that means which sources you want to use for changing its frequency that parameters is b1-01 its default value is 00 now changed it to 01 than check its frequency is showing on display is zero because these command is analog intput source for example
Potantiometer. I will explain this on another video. Another parameter is b1-02 is used for frequency command its default value is 01 now i changed it to 00 than it mean motor run by display button not s1 and sc terminal we short thes wire but it not run than we start motor by display run button motor run forward green light indicator is on and if we press button stop motor stop.green light indicator is off We check how we run motor forward and reverse if we short wire s1 and sc motor run forward and if we short wire s2 and sc motor run reverse it easier to use in industries .
