AC Idle Compensation Solenoid for C3 Corvette 

What did that bracket come off of? I want to purchase one, I have a 4150 double pumper with the same aluminum throttle cable bracket setup as yours, i have the same issue you were having with the ac.

Great video, but where did you pull the signal wire from on the AC for the solenoid it’s self? I have the Edelbrock AVS2 with Edelbrock intake. Running a thumper cam. When I originally did the cam I had the stock intake and Quadra jet carb. The throttle kickdown stayed energized after key was turned on, setting the idle by when I turned ac on it would drop. I never had this issue prior to pulling the engine for the cam work. Thought I was getting air through the intake so I swapped everything. I’m ideling at 850 without ac and it drops to 500-550 with ac. It’s driving me nuts.

I know this video is somewhat old, I have this issue with mine, bought 2 Holly brackets and neither will work with the holly carb I'm using for the idle compensator for my A/C .. this is an awesome remedy.. If you don't mind what is the part number of the Jegs kick down bracket you are using on this engine.. thanks !

Looks like you have a beautiful car there.I have a 78 vette, but living here in CA. We have some tough smog laws. So we are very limited On what we can do with our cars.Which is practically nothing. What is that rod with the heim joints connecting the upper control arms?

I fired up my budget and got all the parts condenser switch acummulator hoses crimp tool eveporator,compressor etc.now cant find the wires going to low pressure switch lol

Nice clean engine but the only thing I saw was you covered up your emergency hood latch access with the vacuum reservoir

I just viewed your video on the C3 AC project that involved the Idle Compensation Solenoid. If possible I'd like to have a conversation with you as I am having difficulty getting the AC in my '75 to work well. I hope to hear from you.

Nice work on this engine! I have to step up my wiring game it seems... Quick question: it appears as if you have the Quick Fuel 49-148QFT solenoid? Does the solenoid housing spin after the nut has been tightened to the bracket? Mine does this, and it just doesn't seem right... Beautiful job on your car man!
