I´ve said it from the beginning and I´ll say it again: The problem for Leao playing "Fonseca football" is that Leao is a counter attack player with the quality and technique to drive. This is his biggest quality that he relies on. To be able to do that he need the space on the flank and the opportunity to choose to break into the center, or do overlaps with Theo. You see Rafa doing that continuously in the national team and they make sure he has the freedom to do it. When you have a player with such pace, speed and ball-drive, you can´t put him in a system that is built on progressive build up because you lose too much of that key players quality.
@@noname-ot7vd it won’t happen my friend, Gerry is a very arrogant owner so he won’t hire back Maldini. The only chance to see Maldini back will be if Redbird sells the club.
The management should have clearly got the yellow cards suspended on our players for this game. BUT NO!!! They only managed to kill some bacteria by warming corporate seats.
@@MrDflego Theo, Maignan and especially Leão were the heart of this squad, our superstars and all our successes in recent years rely on them. As soon as the American owners came, they started to destroy the championship team and the Italian identity of ACM. They don't want to and they don't understand the essence or the history of this club, just like they don't understand this sport. American fans didn't help either, except for buying shirts. They are only interested in Pulišić and their love for this club will last as long as he is in it. Fonseca is a mediocre coach and only mediocre results can be expected from him. Rafa is a truly special player whose style requires freedom in the game. By taking away his freedom, his game itself is taken away, and this is becoming more and more visible. In AC Milan everything is wrong (ownership structure, policy and vision of the club, management, scouting system, youth sector, coach and his tactics, fitness trainers and nutritionists, fans...) and that will not change overnight.
Let's also remember that this management has managed to sell only 3 players: Tonali, Simic and Krunic (for whom we had an offer of 8-10 mil and sold for 3.5 4 months later..). Saelemakers, Pobega, Adli, Kalulu and Colombo were all sent on loans mostly to direct competitors, D.Maldini was gifted away. We haven't gotten a fee for CDK yet either and that's also limiting our market..
My two cents, need a defense that can not only defend but play ball control with their passing while advancing. I do not think they are quick, savvy and skillful enough yet to play possession football.
Leao could/should have been a starter this game but even the commentators were pointing out how he wasn't running late in the match when down 2-0. He (lately) hasn't shown the skill to make up for the lack of work rate that Milan needs when the overall team is struggling. Put in the work and the results go your way, not walking around and trying for one dribble every 5-10 minutes
To be honest Rafael Leao is no more hungry like the way he use to do and he's one of does who can carry Milan to the place where they belong. Pulisic and Mike are the ones holding this team for now according to their performance.
Interesting that last year ACM started so much better, and we thought it was the coach. Agree about Sammy; he has figured out when & what to do. He dribbles now with his head up & passes much better than last year. He takes his shots at better times too. He has matured like a fine wine.
I actually like Fonsecas personality and principles in some cases but it's a result driven world. He knows his job is on the line so benching Leao he must/better have a pretty big reason. It will play itself and we will see if he made the right choices.
Conte is a coach who everyone loves till things start to go downhill, not to mention his disastrous record in UCL. At one hand we have the management investing in Futuro and trying to get Camarda to play in the first team and on the other hand if they get Conte then sure we all stay happy and content for one year where we probably win the second star but then when he whines and leaves leaving the project in shambles we keep crying for next 5-6 years doing the exact same thing we do now. The first quarter of the season has been bad, not gonna deny it but if I see improvement in next quarter I will be happy.
This is exactly it, the guy will light up the place on fire and bounce as he almost always does. Milan fans have to see in the long run what is being created, although, I am not so sure Fonseca is that long term man either. What do you think?
@@footballkush With Fonseca we can atleast build, I am not sure what others see but I definitely see improvements in player movements, against Inter we killed them in the second half something we have never done in ages, Leverkusen a team that was invincible we went toe to toe albeit too late, against Napoli with all the starters missing we still dominated and it wasn’t just keeping the ball we did have genuine chances. I see the team growing unlike with Pioli where I saw stagnation. One time league win is no longer lucrative because we have already done that, I want us to be always competitive. Madrid is having a bad season but let me tell you next season they are gonna win something big again, I want us to be a team who will win and if not it should only be a matter of time.
Leao on the minute 90 was not putting any effort on running back to press the Napoli player, despite the fact he was very near. Unnerving attitude man and totally unacceptable
Am I the only one then that thinks Musah had actually a bad game ? The first goal is at least 50% if not more his fault. How can he leave Anguissa in acres of space in the middle to then pick out his pass ? That's his job and he failed it. Lot of loose touches, one in our own box that nearly finished in another goal for Napoli. Then a bad touch on interception in their box when it should have been a great chance to score. I could add more so I really don't understand all this praise for Musah as I thought he was easily in the top 3 worst players in that game.
Musah, agree, he must work to be more consistent in all aspects of the game. He is fast, but I have seen him dribble into trouble. Most difficult of skills is to dribble with your head up & ball at your feet. His defense can be better, but with more experience, because he is young, he will improve. Sammy has matured so that he has better game awareness, ergo, passing & knowing when to shoot.
We, as tifosi, should not care in the slightest about how much money is spent on the team. We're the ones financing it trough merchandising, events, stadium tickets, sponsors (they come only because WE take interest in Ac Milan, WE give them visibility beacause WE watch the games). We should all be fuming rn. Conte was BEGGING us to come. Also, if you want to think about costs and revenues, with Conte many players would have increased their value. Instead, many players like Rafa, Loftus, Tomori, etc. are now surely worth less than last season, due to poor performances (influenced by the managers decisions and lack of credibility). With Conte, we wouldn't sit so low on the table. He's first with a Napoli side that ended 10th in the Serie A last season. We also won't get as much revenue because we won't place as high as we would have with Conte as our Coach, both in Champions AND in Serie A. I'm not even considering Coppa Italia, we haven't won that in ages. The manager is an investment. You pick a good one(Conte)? It costs more but you most certainly get some revenue. You pick a mediocre one (Fonseca)? Then you must brace yourself and hope for the best.
@@lucs028 We have financial stability already, the current situation is nowhere near that. Our management is made out of greedy pigs who put their personal interests over our beloved Milan, and that's it.
Real Madrid beat prime Barcelona and Prime Bayern playing counter attacking football. Liverpool beat prime Man City playing counter attacking football. Possessional football is wonderful but football is situational. In some situations you play possession, in some situations you counter. Like Martino said we need a 10, not RLC and Rejinders playing in that position. We also have a 10 in Liberali we just don’t have the balls to play him. Fonseca is very much to blame and so is the management. Furlani and Moncada have to be fired. There is no reason they should be there. If Maldini and Massara had to go then so should they. Moncada is the primary problem he is a terrible identifier of talent. He had more money and chose worse people and does not have Maldini to step in and find better profiles. Zlatan I will give another year but Conte probably did not come to Milan because of Zlatan. Had Maldini been there I believe he could have handled a personality like Conte just out of his sheer portfolio and what he has brought to football as well as what Maldini means to Milan. Fonseca is all about possessional football but we lack diversity in our attacking portfolio. We pass, pass, pass until we get into the final third and then have 6 players in and around the box. Our single biggest problem in the final third is we suck at playing in tight space and opening up a team. We do not have the players to strike fear in a team once we get into the final third. Lastly idk what it is for the life of me but Milan does not have a single player that can play a through ball besides Rafa, Theo and Rejinders. If you play possessional football then you have to have great chemistry and the ability to open up space to play a through ball. It has to be touch, move, dribble and surgical precision. We don’t play that way. We condense our game bring all our players into a compact place in the second third and close all of the passing lanes. We literally are our own worse enemy. Also why the f*** we don’t play balls over the top for Rafa? He is one of the fastest players in Serie A with a great first touch, play the damn ball over his head. They did it once and Di Lorenzo was in no mans land. He had no clue how to even defend the ball over the top especially when he has to play 1v1 with Rafa. Final point, All this nonsensical talk from Milan fans about Rafa should be sold needs to be shut down immediately, he is by far our best player. Pulisic is playing well this season and great but his peak is no where near Rafa’s. Rafa has balon d’or level capability. If we sell him who the hell will we buy to replace him? Especially with the management we have and how much they love to spend, especially since we don’t have Maldini to bring a player like him to the club. Stop the crap about he is lazy, he is not lazy. He is an attacking footballer, should he help more in defense absolutely but he is notttt the problem we have. He is a farrrr better player than Kavara and anyone who thinks otherwise hate to break it to you but you really have no clue what you are talking about. If you put Rafa in Juve, Liverpool, Chelsea, Madrid or Bayern. He will have 40 contributions no questions asked. Milan is the problem and right now Fonseca is the problem. If you cannot help him reach a level of more than 20 goal contributions then you are at fault especially when he has done it for 3 seasons with Pioli! The problem is Fonseca’s man management is garbage, his ability to build chemistry is garbage! All the top coaches have one unique ability and they are excellent man managers. There is a reason why Ancelotti has produced 7 balon d’or winners and at least 20 contenders. It is because he doesn’t try to make teams play the way he wants he helps them play the best football that is suitable to the players that the team has. Kush I know you are giving Fonseca a chance but I have seen enough. I will give him 3 games and if he loses anymore then he needs to go. January is right around the corner and to bench Leao against Napoli for me is inexcusable.
A comprehensive critique. Many have said, myself included, it's the defense, but I must agree with you about the lack of skill needed for possession ball in tight spaces.
The lack of ambition from our management is just painful for us the fans, they could have Conte or Hansi Flick the fact that they didn’t even try to get Flick is non sense. And then is the transfers, you want to win trophies with Royal, Terracciano, the ghost Loftus and Musah? Come on.. we are still far from Napoli and Inter’s level
kush I told you that moncanda and zlatan are the problem . not fonseca . 9 players due to red bird and moncada vision started yesterday. most of them where average ,lacked quality and where toothless in attack to imagine that tonali and bennercer where cheaper than musah . messiah where cheaper than chukuweze shows you the utter waste due to poor scouting from the management . at the end of the season . both moncada and zlatan should leave. even if conte was there with this squad he would still struggle
This is why we compete, to reflect our team off of opponents. To see where we stand. From this match I observed Napoli was fluid, focused, efficient. We were cumbersome, disorganized, inefficient. Simple reason, we're missing too many players. There's no continuity. We looked tired and weak. Napoli looked calm, confident, strong and rested. They were a well-oiled machine, we were a jalopy, cylinders missing, needing a tune up. Lol
I have to agree with the coach on this one.... Leao comes on... walking on defense... walking on offense! Like... what are you doing? Is he injured again? Thats not what we need from him. We need him to be a player on this team.. not just an offensive option.
I agree with your take on Fonseca. I actually think he's made some solid changes this season (more good than bad for me still), but his decision with Leao is confusing. If the goal of leaving him off/subbing him out recently has been to motivate him, what better day to see if that motivation is taking effect than today when we're playing a top team while missing a ton of our starters?!
It's always great to hear from you. Keep up the excellent work! I believe we're struggling with the 4-2-3-1 formation mainly because we lack a true CAM. While Pulisic can fill that role, using him there would likely push Chukwueze into the starting lineup, a spot he fully deserves at this point. But if we do sub him out, who else can come on and bring the same level of threat or energy? Currently, there's no clear option. This is something the management needs to address. As for Leão, I think he needs a more defined role within the team. We’ve seen how he steps up when given the captain's armband, he plays with a renewed intensity. To make him feel truly at home, we should consider giving him more responsibilities, like taking free kicks. With his impressive long-range accuracy, we all know he has the potential to be a real asset in this area. Providing him with a bigger role could be exactly what he needs to unlock his full potential.
Exactly because leao was arguably our star player and multiple clubs wanted him and with pioli leao still did well and we were second in the league now we’re not even top 5 we’ve lost two out of three champions league matches and it feels like leao barely gets the recognition he deserves anymore.
Kush, I was with ya until you said it was a comfortable 2-0 win for Napoli. Yes we’re all Aware Comte is a low block counter wizard but if we’re being fair on the first goal lukaku lost possession of that ball with a heavy touch, then had to barge into pavlovich before returning to the ball, and it was not shoulder to shoulder in possession that’s the reason pav was so easily knocked off. He had eyes to the 50 50 ball. Secondly. After that Milan absolutely dominated possession and chance creation between okafor, musah and chucky. Can you imagine if pulisic, Theo Leao, and reindeers were in the game from the start. In the reverse fixture I see it flipping score lines completely. Also don’t be so quick To turn on fonseca bc of the reason I just stated. I sense a breakout game agasint madrid coming soon if all the 11 is healthy. Cheers.
Fonseca isn’t the problem the problem is with the ego of players like leao and Theo. It’s clear that when they’re on the pitch they don’t follow a game plan. The Penalty taking nonsense shows they don’t respect him and his decisions. They don’t even respect their best player this season taking the ball away from him as he called for it to take the pk. Are these guys good players yes talent is there and they make Milan better but this petulant childlike behavior needs to stop for this team take off. I’m sorry but leao deserves to be benched, he was walking up the field around minute 80 to get in the attack. How do you play a guy that just walks. He doesn’t defend and acts like a child.
Leao is not the player who will come onto the pitch as a substitution and change the game by scoring two goals, he doesn't have that mentality. Fonseca knows that, everybody knows that, apart from Kush Football apparently who is still having wet dreams about leao being a world class player 😂
Lmfao you seriously don’t understand the difference between leao and oak. They are the same player. Both are fast, tricky players that can’t shoot but can put in a cross. The difference is one works hard defensively and off the ball while the other walks around until the ball comes to his foot. It’s not that hard to understand why oak is getting time over leao.
Oh lord this defensive outcry, no, Leao's difference is that he hasn't been assisting and scoring enough. He has not helped in defence EVER. He has racked up 100 goal contributions in 172 games. Been league MVP and a Ballon d'Or nominee. The problem is that when you don't help out in defence enough, you then need to have players around who can, which is why Morata can replace Leao defensively however, in that case Leao MUST convert the attacking chances he gets so that the defensive sacrifice makes sense. He hasn't been doing that, so he's under the microscope.
@@footballkush leao doesn’t even press my guy, let alone help out left back. And when we are talking about off the ball movement he is next to zero in that category. Leao wants super star money but his only thing going for him is his athletic ability. If you want to be a great player, you have to understand offense and defense he only understands one portion of offense. Leao has also never been a consistent goal score so you are hoping that something happens that won’t. Also, we do not have tonali or kessie, those two players are the reason why leao did not have to defend. They are also the reason why theo could make those crazy runs going forward and yet we still are solid if we get counterattack. Since we do not have those two type of players that means our two wingers have to play defense, regardless if they score goals or not.
I would say this again but the biggest problem with current squad is the way this squad has been constructed. We have 4 proper centre backs and non of them are good on the ball and we probably sold kalulu and simic who probably were the better defenders we had on the ball. All the 4 defenders we have are very similar in terms of profile. We also dont have enough quality players for the pivot role. Other than fofana and Bennacer most of our players not meant to play in that pivot . We also to many players who can play as a cam (tijani, loftus cheek, musah ,pulisic and the youngsters like zeroli and liberalli are also cams ) I would say in my opinion this team would struggle to complete at the higher stages . Yes we may beat the more lower level teams but this is not a team which is going very far in a scudetto or ucl race . In my opinion if i were incharge of doing the transfers this what i will do. 1)sign a regista or a couple of players who can play in the pivot role(my dream signing would be ricci because i feel he would complementary fofana very well ) 2)sell loftus cheek simply because with rise of tijani i simply dont see him playing there (and add the likes pulisic, zeroli and liberalli he would be getting even limited chances) 3) sell thiaw and sign a proper ball playing centre back . I could go on and all but i feel these 3 points are the things are the objectives for balancing out the squad . The squad has been constructed in a unbalanced manner thats why we are seeing this mess.
The problem is that the defense is super disorganized so they are going to play a lot of games where they control possession but still lose. Its very frustrating and unlikely to change. He doesn't understand the defensive side of the game. Players don't pull back into assigned areas, they don't keep their space, they aren't facing the right way, they aren't looking for opponent players, they are just hauling ass like a pack of buffaloes. That comes from a lack of instruction. Going to be super frustrating because Milan will win games by controlling possession but they are also going to give up games to easy opponents. He will be on the fence the whole season.
I'm enjoying this milan downfall, not gonna lie. But pulisic needs to leave this hopeless club as soon as possible if he knows what's good for him. He's just entered his prime and needs to join top team to realise his potential. With this black-and-red circus he is going nowhere
they won the scudetto 3 seasons ago and made the cl semis 2 seasons ago they’re not so hopeless and if they take off the terrible managment good things will happen
Kush your content and set up is so good quality wise, have you considered covering Football more broadly? I feel like the channel could blowup more if the content related to a more general audience as well as Milan fans instead of just Milan fans.
Obviously, Fonseca is picking on Leao. He's trying to assert his authority by bringing down the team's star, but all he's getting is poor results and a toxic locker room. It reminds me of his clashes with Dzeko back in his Roma days.
Fonseca has never worked with top-tier stars. He has no idea how to leverage a dribbling and playmaking talent. To me, the best fit for him would be a club like Udinese, where all he needs are a bunch of tireless workers who can run and press.
I wasn't excited by the Fonseca signing but was willing to give him a chance. I agree with Kush that there is a big issue with the management and transfer targets. Our midfield is more suited to 433 but we keep using coaches that want to play 4231 without supporting them with the right recruitment targets. At this point if we sack Fonseca then Sarri is the best replacement available for our squad in experienced coaches. Maybe there is an alternate young coach they can go for instead that will suit their budget. I suspect Fonseca will be gone on the eve of the next international break. If they are going to stick with Fonseca then January MUST bring some signings suited to 4231.
I have no idea what the plan was with Fonseca, how is he an upgrade from Pioli? The faster we get a proper coach the better, Fonseca is NOT the answer.
We didn't qualify for the Champions League last season without the Juventus penalty and it doesn't look like we're going to qualify this season. Front office needs real people. This is embarrassing
That was 2 seasons ago not last season. Last season we finished 2nd behind inter, tho they had like 20 pts ahead of us. Which was 1 of the reasons Pioli got fired
I’d rather Fonseca 1000times than Conte. They played haram futbol all through yesterday and I know people will say it was an efficient performance but what comes after when you score Conte’s team first? Would they be able to come back into the game? Also Napoli have no single distractions outside of Italy this season hence everything seems fine for them. Watch what happens next season.
Fonseca needs to go, he never had the team and fighting a private war with Leao who is one of the best contributors overall, albeit not necessarily in the defensive phase, is silly, especially with many starters out.
Once you go down 2-0 to a Conte team bringing on Leão and Pulisic is useless. The box is so packed in there is no room to work. You need two power players in the box and just send crosses into the box. Actually, Napoli did not look that good. They'll drop points as they start playing better teams. ACM today was a makeshift lineup. The two outside backs were terrible (how many misplaced, easy passes can they make?) and RLC can't be an AM.
totally agree with the video, especially the lack of CDMs -- is and will be hurting the team so bad.. you missed a red box for Maignan.. guy's risky short pass set the ball rolling for the first goal.. and the second one was easy to save for a GK of his standard
Giroud's departure left a leadership void. The same thing occurred when he left Chelsea. Giroud is a great player, but his leadership skills are very underappreciated. One day, he will be a tremendous coach, if he wants to take that route. For now, someone else needs to take that role for this team and provide that steadying hand and bridge between the coach and the team.
If not Fonseca now, then who? Weve seen the management and their decisions of how the way they fired Maldini (after he built Milan AGAIN with young players who have Milanismo in them) to have it dismantled in a season or so. It was all because of Maldinis interview after the semi final Derby in the UCL, and he wasnt wrong, we have a very solid foundation but we need 2 or 3 top players to join. Gerry got offended and fired him in a 2 minute conversation as per numerous reports. Though coming back to the previous question, we had Abate who was doing a fanstastic job and guided Milan to the final of the youth UCL, a true Milanista, who understands what Milan is, and had him fired too. Instead, we got Bonera....we are seeing the results of the futuro team being almost abysml, will he be promoted to take over Fons? Conte and De Zerbi are no longer options? Concecao? Sarri? Ancelotti would be a dream considering his situation the Madrid bench. Even if Fonseca is fired, did the managment learn and will they get a big profile on the bench or will it be another Lopetugi and Fonseca scenario. I cant wait for the day Milan is sold to hopefully an Arab foundation, with Maldini back to where he belongs, having him in Milanello day after day and you always try to impress the best ever defender having his eyes on you. And maybe Tonali back too, but again, just me dreaming. Until then, we are the Italian Leipzig from Temu
Not starting Leao in a big game vs Napoli is a decision by Fonseca that I don’t understand why it was made. These inconsistent performances are why I am unsure about Fonseca being the right coach moving forward, Kush. However, I also think management didn’t do Fonseca any favors by not signing a true trequartista and a central defensive midfielder as well. I need to see more consistently good performances and wins in order to believe Fonseca, otherwise he has to go.
Kush, i agree with you, but the flawed decisions were made a long time ago by the Milan leadership and it is not Fonseca's fault he got chosen. They also pre selected players for him. Pavlovic and Thiaw are not a good pair, this was the first time they played together and Pavlovic is more worried about the right flank being weak than he is about his own position.
the argument that there suspensions where a factor in the loss to napoli is not valid . because apart from pulisic and tijjani . the rest of the absentees are not red brid acquisitions and its expected that their inventions should improve the squad quality which obviously has not over the last two seasons . hence when we saw the 9 starters red bird gave us should tell you how far we have gone in terms of squad quality which is obviously lacking a squad audit should be done . the idea that leao should have started should tell you that red bird has been buying nonsense. I mean maldini bought rebic along side leao for that position . for less than okafor so what are you talking about
I lost all faith on this ownership and management Kush. They sacked an average manager just to hire another average manager, 2 seasons in a row with a criminally incomplete squad, the famous stadium seems like a complete farce. What is the point of watching this team the rest of the season? finish top 4? I actually think we are going to finish out of the top 4. The future looks bleak and for the fans that don't want to suffer, I recommend to check out this season and not give this ownership and management your viewership or money until they earn it.
Leao has 1 goal in his last 20 CL games. He isn’t good enough to be the star player for a team aiming to win trophies. Are we aiming to win trophies? That remains to be seen
I agree with what you say I was suprised Milan went toe to toe with Napoli especially without 6 starters yes those 2 goals could’ve been defended better but we need to give Fonseca time anyways Forza Milan
I don't blame Fonseca. I blame our ownership. I don't know if they're clueless, cheap, or worst of all, simply don't care, but it's clear that winning silverware, is NOT a goal of this ownership. Regardless of what their pr statements say.
No need to hit the panic button, we were missing 6 starters. Leao on the bench in that scenario makes no sense. The manager clearly is sending a message to Rafa, we need Leao at his best. RLC is not a 10, we missed Reijnders today as a creative spark. The back line remains our primary issue.
It's so obvious how desperate we are for a proper defensive mid. And these players that are so called upgrades on what we had. Royal fofana etc have looked absolutely abysmal in almost every game I've seen them
Honestly Rafa sitting on the Bench wasn't a wrong decision. Okafor helped in defence way more than Rafa and was great in Offense. I think if Puli wasn't sick and Tijani available the score would have been different At one point when Rafa was on Terracciano was defending alone while Leao was still walking back. That's why he is sitting on the Bench. We lost because Puli & Tiji were not available, not because Rafa didn't start
I don't know what positions Musah and RLC can play but they both have square feet. They are strong, have good balance and are good driving the ball forward but they can't pass to save their life. Musah had so many misplaced passes over the distance of 5m, RLC simply isn't capable of playing one touch football so they have no business playing in midfield, maybe they can go and play rugby.
I'm a 75 YO American, didn't like soccer initially, basically started paying attention to see what happened with Pulisic. I like it now, still learning, so take this with as many grains of salt as you deem appropriate. With Leao, he seems to be one of the athletes who has to have his ego stroked continually or he withholds performance. Theo seems like that, too. Is Fonseca trying to develop a team spirit instead of a collection of egos, and that's why he's benching? The controversy about who takes penalty kicks that erupted just before the international break seems to me to indicate factions on the team, and I suspect that's what the real issue is here.
You're not far off, I believe what you're saying has some truth to it. I am not sure about withholding performance but I do think there's an ego game at play with them which - if they are not performing - can hurt the team. Keep in mind, Theo has had an ego like this from the day he arrived at Milan and he has gone on to become the greatest leftback since Maldini and Leao has gone on to become the greatest attacker maybe since Kaka. So their egos are for a reason but don't look good when they're not backed up with results.
@@footballkush Thanks for the reply. I think another factor is how much the egos affect the rest of the team. I don't claim to know which is best, but that may be what Fonseca is after.
A complete failure at all management levels from Moncada, Zlatan & Furlani to Fonseca. A poorly constructed squad, transfers seemingly made without thought as to how they'll fit in a broader collective. A coach hiring that signalled to our top players that the club lacks ambition, which leads to below par performances. Failure all around. Zero leadership, zero understanding of what it takes to build a team/squad, zero ambition.
At least with Musah he’s still young only 21 years old so his passing could improve over the years but RLC is 28 its not going to get better than that unfortunately for him
@@rlubin9356yes but if loftus being bad by multiple games and fonseca still doesn't play musah it mean is not a great sign by musah, loftus do literally nothing in every game so is difficult to do worst then him but apparently musah still not even an option as starter outside when someone is out, also yes he is young but after 1 year we still don't know his real position becouse in every place he look out of place and there isn't really something he know how to do outside running, at 21 yo majority of the player of his league got 10 times more abilitys even being avarage players and this is the problems musah is good only in running at 21 yo
Kush, that first goal wasnt just on Pavolvic. First Musah was out of position and allowed Anguissa to receive the ball with zero pressure. And 2 Pavolvic played Lukaku onsides. Thiaw was playing the offsides trap.
Thiaw was playing the offside trap with his eyes on Pavlovic while Pavlovic was playing him on with his back to Lukaku, in that situation the onus is on Thiaw to match Pavlovic's position as he can see him. Had Thiaw done that, he may have been able to catch up to Lukaku as he almost did. As Costacurta said, you don't play Lukaku offside, you simply try to mirror your fellow centre back's position.
@@footballkush It all depends on what was Fonseca told them prior to the game. And you never ever allow player that amount of time and space to receive the ball and turn and make a move with the ball. Our midfielders esp Musah and RLC are always of position. Kush look I'll give you credit on your editing game. But I've been around this game and talking tactics forever and I live and breathe defensive tactics.
Sick and tired of people praising Leao when he's NOT that good !!!!! When he's on the left and Pulisic is on the right he NEVER gets balls played to him when HE'S the GOAL SCORER for the team !!!!!!!! Far as I'm concerned Leao should be SOLD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! During this game Cukwueze was passed the ball MANY TIMES so why is Pulisic NOT getting those same passes ??????
I think I agree 100% with everything you said. And people really have to chill. Also Conte doing well with Napoli doesn't guarantee he would do well with us.
WELCOME TO THE RAFA LEAO FAN CLUB !!!!!!!! Leao is a joke! Leao is not improving ever. The man is not teachable and his focus is on fashion and music. Ditch him and release milan from this Leao curse. Take your rose colored glasses off please
When was pissin off your star player ever the best way to manage them?🤦🏻♂️ With Leao, the best managers like Ancheloti would find a better way to handle this whole situation with him
I’m not complaining or blaming but Milan has been conceding by silly defenders errors and mistakes. Midfielders and forwards are responsible for helping defenders as well. With these inconsistencies in playing/performance Milan ain’t beating any good teams in big game and eventually not winning any trophies at all.
I just find it crazy when we let players go it’s always loans or selling for really cheap CDK in the perfect example but we never make those deals ourselves. Also I am so fully out on RLC I thought he was an empty stats guy with his goals last season but he’s so lost in front of goal and cannot facilitate at all. How has he given such a long run as the attacking midfield. If we had a 4-3-3 he would be fine but making the 4-2-3-1 our formation should’ve been the impetus to sell him in the offseason likely to the prem where his playstyle is better suited
I don’t like fonseca i think he can’t move the club to another Level, especially when you think about the fact you could’ve had conte or RDZ (Milan supporter). The thing is if we fire fonseca, who should Milan hire, who is available now ?
Quick everyone act surprised. Milan’s best player had the Flu and didn’t start so they lost and didn’t score. Whoa so surprising. Pulisic is Milan. Without him they are nothing
Honestly, who cares about the leao situation. The goals we let in are way more worrying. The way we were scored on shows we can't contend for the scudetto rn. Just look at how we've defended lukaku in the past with kjaer and how they defended him in this game. Napoli let us have the ball so anything we did on offense was an illusion and the space our defenders gave napolis two best players is wild, way more concerning than our attack.
The only difference between Napoli and Milan is the coach. And the fact that Napoli don’t have Oshimen. The difference in Fronseca and Conte it was clearly shown. If we loose between 5-10 games in serie A we’re not doing better compared to when we had Pioli. Disappointed in Milan. Idk how long more I can keep watching it hurts how we play like a mid to bottom tier club
Stop playing RLC as a 10.If your going to use a 10 use CP10 there so Leo can be on the left and Chuck on the right. If we use a 4 3 3 use fofona as cdm reindeers and musah at the 8s.Remember musuh is still only 21.All you have to do is tell fofona your a cdm now so stay back and play like one.
Do we still have to wait until 10 games to see this team is a fuckign disaster? I don't know how anyone couldn't see this disaster coming from a mile away.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek , for real I am still wonder what the he doing in the 11 ? My God he is invisible, again no creativity no defense bone , is like we are play 10 vs 11 And Musah just doesn’t help. The only thing clear to day . The coach gave these players the confidence to show something and they failed. They played without enthusiasm, none of them showed why they want to be a starter in a historic team like Milan, they cannot be anyone's replacement. They are simply not at the level , Fofana , Maignan , Pulisic and Leao belong to the first team the rest should be sold , bad investment.
