Holy sh!t that did it! And there were a lot of fuses that needed to be pushed down more snugly! Wow thanks. I was about to take to dealership too. You are a gift man!
new jeeps sure arent like the old ones. remember when built in america meant something? never happen on a bmw! bmw tourques every bolt although cars are designed to fall aprt ar 100,000miles
I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My AC is currently out. I have taken it to the dealership several times. They keep fixing it and telling me it’s another issue and charging me more money, and it keep going out. Thank you for the info.
You save me from Panicking and a trip to the dealer oh god you made my day because I was instantly mad because it’s tooooooo hot to not have a/c !! 😍🥰🥰
lol, i wanted to cry when my ac shut off. was lucky it was an easy fix...although my fuse disintegrated when i was pulling it out, took cpl more mins is all. good luck thanks for watching.
@@crashman1963 I was pretty doubtful it would work, but I have been trying to fix it for 2 years now. I opened the fuse box and pushed the fuse in and heard *click* and then the AC was cold with actual air flow coming out of the vents.
OMG I have the same problem and fix it with your advice. Thank you so much for share it. I'm ver happy because don't need to spend a lot of money to solve it.
In my case the fuse was burn out, it seems the fact it was not sitting correctly cause the failure. I push all other fuses since some of them seem to be a bit off as well. Thanks for the tip and im glad it was an easy fix
Oh my lord it worked!! Happened today when I first tried using the AC this year. Luckily I did a Google search when I got home and found this video! Liked, and Subscribed! Note,.. I was using the AC at times to heat the vehicle during the winter months and got heat! So I'm assuming that fuse is just for the AC!? IDK, but my quick test in the garage, it was blowing cold again! Knock on wood it continues working next time I drive it.
I'm also driving a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited and the AC blows but not cold. We replaced the blower motor and it was working great then today it stopped blowing cold again just room temperature air which is still to warm where I am. I've reset the system and that used to work but doesn't anymore. It's also charged with the Freon so I will try this in the morning and fingers crossed that it works
Do you have a favorite Jeep Owner's forum for troubleshooting advice? I own a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 Limited with 5.7L and I'm not sure the electric Rad Fan is behaving correctly. Can you do a check of operation on your Jeep and let me know? The question is: Does the electric Rad Fan come on as soon as the A/C compressor is engaged? On my car it doesn't. The Rad Fan will come on when the water temp gauge gets halfway up the scale, and cycles to maintain proper radiator temperature. Even with A/C and compressor running, the Rad Fan is not normally on. This seems wrong to me, based on previous vehicles I've owned. Without the radiator fan running, the liquid line under the hood gets FIRE hot when car is not moving. Just recently, I began hearing a hissing sound from under the dash when A/C is on. Believe this to be the sound of refrigerant flow, and wonder if system is low. My compressor runs continuously, and there is cooling, but not sure if it is normal, or under capacity. (Living in Atlanta, GA, and temps are still moderate.) Can you point me to a resource where I can learn theory and normal operation of modern A/C operation? I am familiar with "cycling clutch and fixed orifice" design from 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis, but Jeep is much newer and has TXV (thermal expansion valve) located under the dash, just before the evaporator. Thanks for any ideas or suggestions. Chet
i usually read them all, when i have a question. i seem to take a lil something from all the different info, you do have to do some thinking. you never know who you're talking with. i assume you have this sorted, sorry. i can look if you still need the reference
Cleaned my condenser and radiator. Removed the fan (moved back) and made a made shift wand yo attract to my garden hose out of copper pipe. My AC blows cold again after washing all the road dirt and grime
I would advise to pull the fuse out and check for any burnt signs and check continuity with a cheap volt meter. The other day I pulled one out and it was burnt on the side and you would not have known if you didn't pull it all the way out.
