The real world record is 5:19.546 which is insane, considering the risk Timo Bernhard was taking to go that fast. If you watch the real record lap, you can see a lot of potential to go even faster. Porsche an Timo Bernhard said, that this car could do times below 5 minutes, but that the driver is already on the limit. You would need an absolute nutjob, who knows these type of car and is an expert on the nordschleife

I think the rss version has maybe too much downforce, and definitely too much drag, on the real nords lap, you can see that timo pinned on the back straight was keeping it at 367-368 without hybrid, or they gave it too much transmission loss for power, either way really good lap

probably different approaches on the electric deployment. It makes sense that in the real lap they saved most of the boost for the straight as it can be distracting for the driver to have to constantly press the boost button. In the game you can give boost when you can and you use it a lot out of the corners, where the real driver doesn't do it.

After the real record on the green hell, Porsche guys said that they didn't push the car to the limits and that it was more like a *tribute" laps etc... I tested it the mod at spa and it's more "accurate" compared to real life xddd

Great lap. Which MGUK-Delivery setup are you using? I'm using Medium, but it decreases really fast, even if I just tap the button instead of keep holding it. Because the MGUK was empty, I could only reach 340 km/h on the final straight.

pressing the button releases 100% power. the MGU in the setup releases it automatically. i was easily able to have it on max on nordschleife and abusing the button for the straights only

Managed a 4:47 but a 4:46 flat is there. The WR is currently 4:44.4 and I have no clue how to close that.

I think there is with or without DRS, but otherwise I press the ERS button 50 times haha.

@@lxvideostuff7200 In the first part it's also uphill. He might also have been conserving his ERS. At 4:44 it's the last straight so he can dump all his ERS, it's right after the DRS zone and also it's not uphill DRS alone won't give you 30+kph (at least I don't think so) alone In formula 1 DRS usually gives about +15kph, depends on the tracks

Way smoother!!! Honestly, it's absolutely worth buying. The car just feels far more connected to the track and the force Feedback is genuinely really nice. Nevertheless, it is about 8 to 9 seconds slower at the nordschleife

@@markus_seitz No, it is nearly just as fast. The old version 919 WR is 4:41, the Protech P91 4:42. AND when you only use the ICE (no electricity), the P91 is actually MUCH faster than the old 919. Did 5:02 without using electricity at all with the P91.

Mmm... not sure how much safety margin the IRL car had but this seems completely busted. There were at least 4 or 5 corners you took flat out that would have been a problem even for a formula 1, whilst the real 919 is nowhere close F1 cornering performance. Odd coming from RSS which usually has quite realistic physics.

I agree, the GT1 was great and I was looking forward to the 919, but the limits seemed a bit too high. I still have the feeling that I can improve my time by more than a second.

@@LTea_04 have you tried it at Spa? Should be much closer to the IRL since they definitely pushed it harder having wider safety margins and since it's probably less problematic for the battery, might be a better comparison.

It's faster than f1 cars across a lap at a track like the ring, but I looked at the aero data and it looks like they gave it a little too much downforce and drag, watching footage the real car seems to have a better top end without hybrid than the rss version

@@houseking9211 I've rewatched the IRL video and compared it to this lap, unless OP is doing something fishy the RSS car takes some corners with 70km/h more speed than the real thing, and it also brakes and accelerates faster. It's kinda crazy that you see people everywhere praising the car when actually this time RSS made a mess.
