Hello, in Mexico we call this tree “Wache” . We prepared salsa with toasted or boiled chili peppers(Serrano), toasted or boiled tomatoes , 1 raw clove of garlic and salt. Them we us a stone molcajete( mortar) to make the salsa once every thing is smashed together we add just the raw seed of the vine to the salsa. It’s delicious. The only thing that that seeds can cause bloating😆. What you did is almost the same way we do it except less garlic and no dry fish.
Even in South we used get here in telangana...while I was staying in outskirt institution hostel in Hyderabad my manipuri friends they would gather it and make as a chutney or pickle👍😋

I was born and brought up in Tuensang Nagaland but I never know that people do eat this also. Rest I ate every single thing that a naga eat in Nagaland.
I'm from Nagaland and I get you sister. Your "hoishe tho" I died 😂😂😂. Will it still taste good if I add only the chilis and tomatoes ? ( the thing is I'm a pure vegetarian so that means I don't want to eat garlic and dried fish) Reply soon Love from your northeastern sister. 😊
