I totally agree about Chris Hemsworth. He made it look so effortless going from incredibly poignant to outrageously ridiculous. The scene that always gets to me is the one where he’s pleading with Tony that he should be the one to wear the gauntlet. Another one is when he tells his mom that he’s totally from the future. Lol. Just a very well-rounded committed performance

At the very least Marvel should win an Honorary Academy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Film

I wish there was a press tour with the cast post-release so we can hear more about the filming of Endgame since it was so secretive beforehand, especially with Chris Evans, Scarlett, and RDJ.

To comprehend that they filmed the funeral of Tony Stark even before we all watch Antman&Wasp, is just.. mindblasting.

This movie made Thor 2 better and that deserves an Oscar alone

I think that other than RDJ and Chris , Scarlett did a great job playing her character with such intensity and emotions . I almost cried when her character died in the movie. She deserves more credits for her performance

Finally they're giving the writers some spotlight time! They, along with the Russos, simply made the 4 best movies in the MCU. Period. I just hope that this team of four guys come back one day in the future to gift us with something, I don't care what. But let it be about the Secret Wars!

Some people say this movie doesn’t deserve any Oscars... But not us.. Not us.

I'm really happy that he mentioned Hemsworth. He did a wonderful job! He is Thor as much as RDJ is Iron Man.

I could see Robert Downey Jr. getting a leading actor nomination and Chris Hemsworth getting a supporting actor nomination. RDJ did super heavy-lifting on this film, especially those domestic scenes with his daughter that provided legitimate pathos and stakes to the whole film, and Chris Hemsworth had so many tones to play at once that he feels equivalent to Kevin Kline’s performance in A Fish Called Wanda. Hemsworth is super underrated for what he’s doing in this movie, it’s insane. From the scene of him decapitating Thanos with his poisonous delivery of “I went for the head” to him being an emotionally-distant and even hollow drunken wreck at his cabin to him having that panic attack and getting emotionally feeble on Asgard to him trying desperately and impotently to get the gauntlet on and prove to himself that he can have the glory of undoing his worst mistake in the Avengers Headquarters, he goes through the whole barrage. He’s funny when he needs to be and legitimately haunting and unsettling early on. It’s genuinely REALLY good and it’s the kind of performance that often gets slept on. Comedy is hard. Comedy with that level of underlying pathos and simultaneously eliciting guilt from the audience for laughing is ridiculous.

It’s been months, and I still cry whenever I think of this movie. Honestly the best superhero movie ever made.

Many have said that Lord of the Rings: Return of the King won the Oscar for Best Picture in 2003 to honor the monumental achievement made by the LOTR trilogy as a whole. I think that Endgame should win that distinction because it was the perfect way to end an even more monumental series of 22 MCU films. At least honor and recognize it for that.

When I saw William Hurt at the funeral I was like wow, they really did bring the O.Gs back. Remember him from the original Hulk movie.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if this gets nominated. Like it or not, there is a chance.

I'm honestly so proud of what they did to Thor in endgame, anyone that was outraged by it completes misses the point of what was done, the complete breakdown of a character that lost everything that can at the same time be incredibly emotional and funny, humanizing him so much, making him feel like such a more real character. And the fact that he's hilarious only adds to it, he's not being ridicularized, the humour in it gives it so much heart and lightness to a problem/situation that SO MANY people can relate with, and to quote mark twain, "humour is tragedy + time" and with all the tragedy that Thor has endured, the time that went by and the fact that we can both relate to it and at the same time see the comedy gold in his situation is proof of how amazingly well written and acted that character was in endgame. Both Chris and RDJ easily deserve a nomination this year, and honestly if the academy doesn't distinguish endgame has a major achievment in film making, then let's face it, their credibility just goes down even more, even if we forget the massive numbers the movie is making, it's just such an achievment to have an ending to so many movies, so many characters, threads, plotlines, that involves SO GOD DAMN MANY incredibly professionals, not just the absurd amount of incredible, distinguished actors in this,but also the writers, producers, editors, artists, etc etc, what they have pulled with this movie should be put into museums, should be taught at film schools, the heart, the quality, the sincerity and sobriety of it all, completing a world in such a way that makes it feel so possible, so realistic, with such range of emotions... Just give these people nominations/awards, all the recognition in the world, they are THE TOP of their fields and they have done it.

If any film deserves to make a clean sweep, it would be this one Best Picture Best Actor: Robert Downey Jr. Best Supporting Actor: Chris Evans Best Supporting Actress: Scarlett Johansson Best Score Best Visual Effects Best Screenplay Best Director(s) Best Cinematography Best Makeup and Hairstyling Best Costume Design Best Production Design Best Film Editing Best Sound Mixing Best Sound Editing I don't see how they wouldn't be nominated for every single one of these awards and if anything, not win a chunk of them

Kevin Feige deserves an honorary Oscar for what he was able to do with the MCU. This is something that has never been done in the history of cinema, and he needs to be recognized for it.

The fact that they are doing this interview in this channel brings a strong chance that Endgame can be nominated for Best Picture, Adapted Screenplay, Director(s), and (hopefully) Best Actor, in Robert Downey Jr. They gave Hollywood a masterclass in blockbuster storytelling. Never seen before.

I'd say a Lifetime Achievement Award will be in RDJ's future.

Everyone obviously loves Iron Man but I agree with the sentiment at the end about Thor. Hemsworth went from boring nobody really liked him as the super serious version to comedic and really proved himself as an actor and sportsman.

I hope this movies gets an OSCAR, cause it deserve it !!

The movie was an emotinal masterpeice. Never got this emotinal for in a comicbook movie since Logan. I don't think it needs an Oscar for it to be what it was for me, and frankly for many people but if it gets major Oscar love then awsome! What the Russos and Christopher Markus and Stephen Mcfeely crafted was a roller coaster of emotions. Also the performances were masterful, especially from RDJ (loved him 3000), Chris Evans (such a poetic and emotinal arc and performance) ScarJo (amazing! Easily her best MCU performance) Chris Hemsworth (killed it) and Mark Ruffalo and Karen Gillain were also excellent. These are the categories I think it should be nominated for not for all of them but atleast one of them or some of them: 1. Lead Actor: RDJ 2. Original Score 3. Visual Effects 4. Sound mixing 5. Sound Editing

In some respects, Return of the King won the academy award for Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy... I think you could make the argument that Avengers: End Game is the end of a ten year story, a monumental achievement in connective storytelling that may never be duplicated, and a worthy Oscar contender as a representative of the MCU as a whole... What they've managed to pull off is kind of the cinematic equivalent of landing a quadruple axel... Incredibly flashy, but also nigh impossible...

As a film score nerd, I think Alan Silvestri seriously deserves the Oscar for Endgame. And at the very least, Endgame should be nominated in all the editing, art, direction categories. I'm lax on the writing, because there are many things about the ending that elicited disparate interpretations, and people are unhappy at the lack of closure.

all of these people in this video should get an Academy award. NO ONE has done this before and come out the success that it is. dont get me wrong many many people attempted, but only these people succeeded, so they did some things right that spelled the difference in their success. and that should be acknowledged by the Academy to set the example of what SHOULD be done.
