Academy Conversations: Blue Jasmine 

I felt a deep empathy for the character, she was so frightened and so so fragile, broken.

I've noticed Cate often becomes quite fidgety and uncomfortable when someone is complimenting her... such a humble woman. Love her!

Just watched Blue Jasmine. So so blown away by Cate Blanchett's performance. Her character is so unlikeable but she made me sympathize with her and feel her emotions in a way a character has never done before. AMAZING. Someone already said it, but give this woman the Oscar. Seriously.

Blue Jasmine was a absolutely terrific movie and all the actors were fantastic. Just saw Andrew Dice Clay on Blacklist and he's a superb dramatic actor. Would like to see him in more dramatic roles. Great movie.

i think she is a real contender for best actress

Everyone in Blue Jasmine gave a stellar performance but Cate simply blew my mind, I mean, it’s like she morphed into this woman and all of a sudden you feel like you’re no longer seeing Cate Blanchett on screen, you’re seeing a whole new human being, really stellar work.

Cate Blanchett is really smart! And I think as an actress you have to be. You have to be analytic and constantly aware.

It's one of the great film performances, male or female, ever!

I don't know how you can decide who was the best in the "best actress category". between these 3 giant actress in those 3 great films: Cate in jasmine, Emma in banks and Meryl in august...........!

I'm seeing what is gonna happen. Daniel Day-Lewis Says: The nominees for Best Actress in a Leading Role are: Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Marion Cotillard, Judi Dench, Kate Winslet (my predictions) And the Oscar goes to: Cate Blanchett - Blue Jasmine! And she will receive the stading ovation that she deserves from the audience and from the best actresses of Holywood.

Everybody is talking that Cate will be nominated for her performance in this movie! Is early to talk about the next Academy Awards, but i hope she gets a nomination, I love Cate!

I could listen to Cate Blanchett talk for hours.

Well both Cate and Maryl made a remarkable performance in their movies.... Cate performed better than "Aviator" and Maryl way better than in "Iron Lady"... Cate made me laugh(not in a funny way though) and Maryl made me cry... Both were brilliant and hope one of two will get the Oscar but i think Cate will not have any opportunity to be such a strong nomination... Maryl is Maryl Streep. Even having a cold and sitting in her house she is magnificent in it. :)

This movie movie got me depressed ! Amazing !

Movie could have done without alec Baldwin. Think, Baron Sacha Cohen, would have been a good cross current for Dice Clay. Cate was superb in being a crazy women. and, woody captured all the emotion and timing well...
