That last comment about the sidelines I agree with 100%. Say what you want about DVD, but he completely regressed under these OC. If the prior coaches were the issue, Michigan won the NC with that offense, MD went 8-5 with 3 of their losses to Penn State, Ohio State and Michigan and Gettis calling the offense. The DC.went to Alabama and they made the playoffs. We finished tied for 9th in the freakin' ACC. 1-5 v ranked teams (TAMU). Nothing in 2 seasons at UM suggests MC can get it done. And don't mention Oregon, Lanning has been doing just fine at Oregon post Mario. Substance > hype. Go Canes.

Most idiotic statement I read this week. “VT would be nothing without Vick” Facts: VT started winning their 4 ACC championships (6 game appearances) 3 years AFTER Vick left and over the span of 12 years! Now if you would’ve said Va Tech is nothing without Beamer. You’d be closer to being accurate.

Kenton: FSU’s AD Michael Alford attends every FSU practice & is on a first name basis (he has nicknames for most of them) with every FSU player on the team…but your point is still correct imo. I don’t see any reason the fsu/ACC lawsuit would have any affect on the team’s psyche.

He's a liabilty to Miami. He won't win the ACC even with the best team that money can buy. As long as coaches named Norvell, Dabo, Doeren, Brohm, and now Lashley are in the ACC, Miami will be 4th/5th in the ACC with Mario's sideline clown show each and every game day. Don’t assume those comments came from those two. Miami had it shares of blunders that were well apparent in 2023. Frankly, similar comments were voiced in his PAC 12 days.

Manny had a winning record at Miami and got fired only to have them bring in someone to lose more, and Mario drummed up so fake narrative that he wouldn’t portal over players, only to turn around and do exactly that. Miami hasn’t been laughing in December in a LONG time. Hold your breath.

Nice off season entertainment. Not really relevant till the games begin. In the meantime there's one more day of NCAA track and field, the French Open Finals, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup, NCAA baseball, Wimbledon, and the Olympics to keep us entertained till football season.

Fact: Miami beat Clemson last year and barely lost to FSU. Fact: Miami is much improved at QB, RB, WR, OL, LB, DE, etc... Fact: FSU is a weaker team in 2024 than last year, 2023. Weaker at QB, WR, RB, etc., but especially on the D line. Fact: Clemson is a weaker team in 2024 by virtue of not employing the transfer portal to improve upon their weaknesses, i.e., OL losing C Putnam and RG Parks and Mayes with little or no depth on the interior. Cade Klubnik will be rushing through his reads by necessity, and Mafah won't be nearly as effective. Time will tell, but I like our chances.

Everyone who knows anything about college football could see that with the portal additions last year, and Jordan Travis behind Center FSU was going to be really good. If you go back to my comments from last year, my only critique was that if Travis was injured early in the season, it wouldn't have been good due to lack of depth in the QB room. That's it! BTW, that lack of depth cost FSU a spot in the CFP.

I don’t think Mario’s ever going to get that team to more than an eight and four season, he might shock me and go nine and three they do have a pretty easy schedule this year. It was pretty easy last year too, so we will see. what were they last year seven and 5+ a bowl game loss I would say they could possibly win one more game this year than last year.

Every year (at least from my point of view) I see media and UM fans and UM school boast and promote overwhelming positive everything,keeping expectations sky high. And it's not met. FSU could very well win the ACC again. Clemson is on a down cycle and the next coaching hire will determine how far down they go. Clemson is living off some resent success. VT would not be VT without Vick. Vick built their reputation. I want to believe in Nc State but they just never get over the hump. GT has a good offense but can they get a D? Syracuse is a dark horse and under valued now due to their losing so much lately but they have new coaches and recruiting has changed dramatically. UNC will be UNC, basketball school. They are right on Miami, sorry Miami but it is. SMU is going no where near the ACC championship in year 1 like some think. Louisville has a shot but they aren’t sneaking up on anyone this year and will lose a few.

Perception versus reality. If you want to know how much talent the Hurricanes have had, just look at the NFL draft. Mario has had to do a complete roster overhaul, because what he inherited was crap. Not to mention the horrible culture that fake it till you make it Manuel Diaz was running at Miami. Here’s a stat for you ignorant fans, Mario is one of 9 active FBS Head coaches who has won multiple P5 titles. Yep 1 of 9 active coaches!!! It takes time to build, and Mario is building a monster.

FSU knows that it doesn't have the money and that if it does leave the ACC then the SEC, Big 10 and Big 12 would see FSU as an extra $20 million overhead cost that they would have to bear.
