I only really watch Dave's ACC videos now that he's started racing in it. Just much more entertaining races aren't they. The cars are alive and even the close racing isn't really any more dirty than the high SOF iraces.

For those who might be thinking of trying ACC, it's currently on sale on Steam at 60% off. Definitely worth a look, it's a great sim, especially if you are a fan of GT3 cars/racing. Also, not a fan of the Aston either Dave. Shame really, as I love the look and sound. Just find it weird to drive.

Hey Dave, on the tyre graphic, the color is for temperature, the number is for pressure, which are two different things. The left rear being slightly yellow is nothing to worry about, it's just working a little harder than the other tyres. You'll notice the right front is also a little blue on the edges, which means it's a little colder. Good race considering the Aston V8 is pretty weak at Monza and the Mercs are really strong!

Hey Dave, you can put some temperature in the brakes (and tyres) by lightly pressing the brake pedal through the entire formation period, while still accelerating to maintain position. It gives you a much more responsive car in the first corners

Glad to see you back on ACC Dave the first video I watched of yours was ACC in a Bentley about a year ago and was hooked have you to thank for that,cheers!Was a subbed but watched u do alot of Iracing which I got into aswel for while but ACC for me and most pro drivers agree is far superior ,you have my sub again as long as I see u drive ACC more ,I think if u put the time in Acc that u put in iracing u will start to think the same it’s just far more realistic,weather ,changing track conditions,day/night and car handling.thx Dave keep up the good work bro..

Yeah I just saw the ACC 60% discount on Steam... valid until December 1st apparently. Dave, you’ve convinced me to try it - I’ll get it at the weekend. I also downloaded the free Raceroom content after your recommendation last week. It’s great fun! Loving it... so much so, that I bought the Black Friday premium pack tonight - the game’s entire content for £54.85. Great value for money there, 45 tracks and 100+ cars. The Aston is good at medium speed corners , like kyalami , the tyre is darker green because it’s core temp it higher than the rest , rear left takes the punishment at monza , if the very top of the tyre is blue then that would be the surface of the tyres , and with the rear tyres if it’s the bottom of the tyre is red or blue then the surface is cold or hot , other than the very top and bottom the colour is the core temp

If you’re in a race that goes from dry to wet you will see the colour of the tyre surface and core temp better , also if you are on slicks you can pick up marbles to act as tread blocks to help disperse the water for a couple of laps

Hey Dave great content again thanks Just a pointer with the Aston the back end needs to be a lot softer in the suspension also that tc was kicking in a lot, I find with it to dedicate 2 buttons for dropping the tc to 1 on accelerating out of the corners & bends once it’s gripped up & the other to put it back to your preferred setting, this is why the Aston bogs down, plus softer rear gives you more grip & stability into & out of the turns The one other thing the Aston has a lot of down force anyway & can run around monza with zero wing & slightly more ride height Cheers mate

Hey Dave, Your tires are about the same pressure, but the temps differ on the amount of scrubbing each tyre does. Monza is mostly long or hard right handers. At least thats what i've gathered from playing. Hope I see you on the Dailys sometime!

The left rear tyre is darker green/yellowy because it's hotter it's probably something to do with the LSD and how it makes the back wheels turn during corners and the amount of right hand corners cos the front left gets hot and over inflated on Monza too

👍 nice race! Optimal tyre pressure is 27.7 plus or minus a couple tenths. Light green meant tyre surface temperature was above optimum a bit. Some cars on certain tracks will go yellow tyre temp and there’s nothing to do about it even though you’re psi is perfect.

Dave check the framerate limit off the rear camera mirror, you could increase it a bit. One thing they could improve on is the weird corner behaviour where you jump off the curb.

Not really sure what the Aston is really "good" at but its mighty fast around Imola. Because of BOP it depends on the settings, you've got 2018, 2019 and now 2020 performance. Throws me off all the time as there is a difference. Take monza for example 2018 performance of the merc im mid to high 48s, 2019 and I'm mid 47s. Kaylami is another good track for the Aston but I don't usually drive it as I'm not overly keen on the noise 🤷‍♂️

Hey Dave, don't worry about your pace at Monza with the Aston. I watched Nicki Thiim run that car on ACC- he's a factory Aston driver. He said Monza was about the worst track for that car. It didn't have the pace. Not sure if it's the handling or grunt, however.

I really wanted to stick to just 1 sim and that was iracing as I didn’t want to flip flop between different handling models but as this is cheap in the Steam sale and I don’t really race GT3 on iracing I think I’m going to take a punt. It looks so good

I can recommend the Lambo for Monza, and in general. It's got a great mix of rotation (particularly stable on exit), and straight line speed which got me into the 48s on Monza rather easily.

Searched for one of Dave's videos of Monza to pick up some tips. It's my go-to track for practicing and I can barely do any better than a 1:52. Braking points are all the same. I've tried the same gears for approach and exit. The one thing I did notice is that he's smoother down the gears. I tend to be too rapid with the gears by the looks of it, which suggests that I slow down too quickly on the approach to corners.

One really important thing with Monza is to get the car settled before the turns such as the Lesmos, Ascari and Parabolica. Just slow a little earlier and focus on a smooth turn in 👍

Been loving the Aston lately. Don't think there's much wrong with it in terms of BoP. Top end slightly off. But, not as squirrely as the Merc. My other go toos are the Lexus and McLaren (Mclaren really stable, but not as goot as riding curbs as some of the others.)

Also, the left rear is a slightly different color because it's a little bit hotter. If you watch closely on the longer straights, your right front starts to get a little hint of blue at the top, too, which means it's losing temp just a little bit.

It's so refreshing to watch you have a couple of good race's in a row........I mean that in the sense of clean race's. Looks like they are driving in a really decent manor. Sure there's mistakes made, but I don't see any intentional disruption by the usual A-holes of the community. I'm always amused on somehow you manage to get thru all the gaggles for the most part. All the crash's seem to open up just in time for you to find a hole to get thru. LOL Great watch and enjoyed if very much.

Nice race, if you use a more rearwards brake bias into the first chicane and 2nd, you will be able to brake later and trail brake into the apex much nicer, 63 seems quite high but I might be wrong.

I tried the regular AC, on PS4, and didn't care much for it. But with what I've seen the past few days from you, I'll be getting ACC, Dec. 1st, when my Data usage is restored. I've run a bit low on GB's for this month. But as usual, Dave made something out of a slow(ish) car. The Aston did keep it's feet under it for the whole race though, unlike the Lexus yesterday. And a new British joke. How many Blimey's does it take to go through turn 1 at Monza.

So Dave do you think it's worth buying ACC, (it's dead cheap at the moment) I mostly use rF2, but also have AC & Ams2 (with the hope that Ams2 becomes something great) as you're aware online racing is less than ideal for a casual or odd online race, and maybe ACC would be useful in that respect? You certainly seem to be having an interesting time of late. I've been enjoying your ACC coverage. Keep up the good work and best of luck in future races.

Hi Dave, with regards to the rear tyre heating up more than the others, Monza has way more right hand turns than left and watching your driving style, you are really good at apex acceleration so more pressure overall would be placed on that tyre. Does that make sense?

I've been playing gran turismo since it first came out on PS1 I've switched to acc 2 weeks ago because it became unplayable due to the dirty drivers, I absolutely love this game but now you have just told me that I've made a huge mistake by choosing the Aston as my first car in the career mode, I haven't driven it yet so I might have to start again which I don't want to(I play with no assists and on full realism in a long career mode so i had to grind/practice to even get past the lambo test runs in pole/top 3)

You can make your own quite easily. But others won’t see them unless they download them. For longer races that get organised people upload their liveries to a storage site so everyone downloads them :)

Martin and lambo roast left rear at Monza, i do not know why, i have tried more vent, less pressure, but still left rear roasts. Honda, Nissan, Lexus or AMG no problems.

Go onto crewchief and there's a drop down box for the game selection. Click onto asetto corsa competizione and it should work. Think the drop down menu for game selection is top right but not 100% on that.

The Aston seems to me to be the jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none. It's stable, it's easy to drive, handles everything reasonably well, but it's not superlative in any one area. What it does have is the best, most advanced electronics package, which is partly why it' so easy to drive and doesn't have any really bad habits. The TC and ABS work really well, and at the same time, they aren't at all intrusive. Overall, it's a great "arrive and drive" car, but that's about it.

That's what I've always assumed; makes sense that the left side'd be hotter on a clockwise track! What I don't get is that sometimes the colour varies at the top/bottom of the same vertical slice of the tyre - surely they're spinning round, so unless you're locking the tyres under braking (which shouldn't happen to a significant extent in a GT3 because they've got ABS) you're going to end up with pretty much uniform heat?

Yeah, it's looks "very slow" even when going 200-250 km/h (and it's probably cause we cant see the other two screens, left and right) So it looks good for Dave IRL (with triple screens) but for us it takes us out of the immersion.

There is FIA licence where you can progress bronze, silver, gold ,plat. Pro-am stickers you can choose yourself it doesn't matter. Game is fully SRO licensed so all livery track and cars are exact copy of real ones.

Someone help pls. I’m sign’t up for daily simgrid races. My name shows on there list but i can’t find there servers in the ACC server list. What is it i’m doing wrong? (I do refresh the server list) Missed two races in two days already. Help and tnx in advance

The sessions become live on the hour when the race is scheduled. Just type in the server list 'sim grid' and all the sim grids will be listed. Just keep refreshing at the time of your race and it will appear 👍

Have to ask tho (because i’m not behind the the wheel right now) where in ACC, around the serverlist, is there a possibility to typ anything? Can’t remeber a searchbox of some kind. Yes there is a search box near the top although it could be a little more visible
