RCA Graduate Diploma actually provides the opportunity for you to apply and be accepted to a RCA graduate program although you have decided not to attend the graduate program. Never take people's 'no' as an answer. Even rejections can be protections from God. God might close some windows but, He opens the door He wants for you. He is the one who guides you step by step so be watchful, every time when you see a ' green' light just go with confidence and have faith because He is always with you!!!
Hey Joyce, I am trying to apply to the same program and your video was very helpful :) I would love to hear more about your experiences, and if you have any tips for what to do in my portfolio I would love to hear them! Thank you!

Hello Joyce! I am also applying for this program. However the application from pebble, they require 5 slots. Do I make 5 portfolio pdf or just a group of photos attach to each slots?
Hello joyce, i'm applying to graduate diploma but the stage 2 application are quite confusing. I saw your video with your work, excellent but where do you put the text? did you include with it or submit a different text files???
@@JoyceChow I will try my best with my current English skill. So the portfolio you post here has pictures but no writing in it. It turns out that they want to research and write as evidence in the application portal. So I want to ask if you put the writing in the duplicate power point files or did you remove it to show the outcome only?
@@MinhHo-fp3tq if I remember correctly, when I applied, I submitted the jpeg images of my work and there were separate text files that I could explain my work more. I'm not sure if it''s changed or not.
Keep in mind they are not looking for perfection. I didn’t have a formal art background before doing the Graduate Diploma which is why I wanted to do the program in the first place. Don’t fret ❤
Hey Joyce! Hope you're doing well. You're story is quite inspiring and can so relate to it! I'm a self taught Artist based in India, and am looking forward to apply for the same course. Can you please guide me and review my portfolio if possible? That would be of great help! Will be looking forward to hearing from you. cheers! ✨
Hi Joyce! Thanks for your video. Would you say that admission into RCA really just narrows down to your portfolio, and statement of purpose? Would you say work experience could make up for a bad undergrad GPA? 😅 (I intend to apply for a different program at RCA tho)* thanks x
Hi Joyce! I'm interested in applying to the same program but a different subject (or field of interest Idk lol) and that is Communications. Please let me know where it is that I connect with you and have a conversation regarding the same, whenever it is convenient for you. Thanks! :)
@@JoyceChow Hey!! Yes I've watched it already and it did give me some clarity however, It'll be really helpful if I could talk to you as well, personally. So let me know if that's alright with you :)
If I remember correctly, I asked one of my former art teachers who was an art professor to recommend me. Granted, things could have changed since when I applied in 2020.
Hi sorry if this out of topic. Hello im student from indonesia. As far as i know there is requirement about english languange test. Which RCA prefer TOEFL or IELTS? And whether RCA need act/sat? Thank you✨✨
Thanks for the questions! I'm actually not entirely sure. I am more familiar with TOEFL. I do know that RCA does not need ACT/SAT from my experience. (:
Aww thank you so much, friend! I was just thinking about you today!! So grateful for the ways you’ve always encouraged me to continue to create artwork! x
hi! i am interested in this programme. i read that there was a few specialisations you choose (fashion, design, communication, etc) can i ask which one you chose? what is the course intensity like? did u have a lot of free time for other things or was it full on
Hi!! I did Fine Art and enjoyed it :) the course is definitely intense but worthwhile! I did it during March-September 2020 so it was a very different experience than most but it was still full on. Happy to answer more questions!
@@JoyceChow oh thank u for ur fast reply ! u did march to september but now there are january,april/may and september start dates. i guess they change the start sometimes! i was able to see the art house yt video you made w ur friend about rca and it was sooo helpful! there aren’t many videos like that so thank u so much for making the video and making its title so searchable hahaha
@@letter744 aww I’m so glad it was helpful!! My friend did Visual Communication and seemed to really enjoy it! We were supposed to start in January but the building was still under renovation so our start date got postponed. Then after one week of classes, we were in lockdown
@@letter744 it actually was an unexpected blessing to be able to do it remotely. I returned back to the states and woke up at 4am to join the Zoom classes. I learned a lot and grew tremendously as an artist. (:
Hello Can you help me in confirming if royal college of art gives combine CAS number if we want to do two courses simultaneously like graduate diploma in art design and masters? I got into both and I do want to do both these courses but I don't know if they allow in RCA.
Hi! Usually people do the Graduate Diploma if they want to do a master’s. The tutors help students apply. It wouldn’t hurt to apply for both but if you’re accepted into the Graduate Diploma, you will be more ready to apply for a master’s. You can’t do both at the same time though. It’d be too difficult if you were accepted to both.
@@JoyceChow I did got into rca masters in sculpture and graduate diploma, I want to do both since I will get more flexibility in options since I am going through scholarship, so will they provide joint CAS in that case for student visa.
Because I don't know if they give combine CAS for studying in same university in different courses in london or we can do different courses simultaneously in different university there. Because most of the country allows dual degree in different uni as well. Do you have any idea about it?
@@JoyceChow can you guide as what is the course structure of graduate diploma programme there like can we continue our work as what we are doing or they aspect us to make life drawings.
Hi Imon, thanks for your comment. Pebble Pad is a platform where it's easier for the faculty at RCA to see your work. Have you started your application yet?
Hello yes I opened my account and put on all the details in the first application now I have moved on to pebble.pad programme so I'm bit confused as to where to submit the video and pdf
@@JoyceChow they have asked for graduate marks name and all the other documents like ielts scores than after submitting that 6 blocks have opened in pebble pad where it is written get creative, upload blog
