Rinat Shaham sings 'Voi che sapete' from Mozart's Marriage of Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro). For lyrics and context see the Royal Opera House blog - www.roh.org.uk/news/accessible...
Les très bonnes interprétations ne manquent pas. En voilà une qui est magnifique. Rinat Shaham est très impressionnante dans son jeu de rôle et de voix. Félicitations.
+mmmbrunommm3 I strongly approve both of them, even if i think Maria Erwig is better on a "theater" way for the role and that Cecilia Bartoli sing the better of both on this :D
Beautifully sung, beautifully acted. This scene has been so often washed of emotions, so static. Great performances but often stripped off feelings. Here it is different. Something is coooking. Can hear it and feel it in the air. BTW isn't this Dorothea Roschmann as Countess?
Voi che sapete Che cosa è amor Donne vedete S'io l'ho nel cor Quello ch'io provo Vi ridirò È per me nuovo Capir nol so Sento un affetto Pien di desir Ch'ora è diletto Ch'ora è martir Gelo, e poi sento L'alma avvampar E in un momento Torno a gelar Ricero un bene Fuori di me Non so ch'il tiene Non so cos'è Sospiro e gemo Senza voler Palpito e tremo Senza saper Non trovo pace Notte, nè dì Ma pur mi piace Languir così Vio che sapete Che cosa è amor Donne, vedete S'io l'ho nel cor
Rinat Shaham is perhaps my favourite Carmen. Nearly went to see her play Carmen a few years ago, exchanged emails about the production via her site and she said she hoped that I would come to see her sing. Things come up to prevent me going, regret it now !! Lovely singer and nice lady. Rinat plays the role of ''Cherubino'' here, and does it very well. Lovely voice as usual.
Shaham is superb! We just heard her in Sydney singing Carmen. As we all clapped in unison, someone behind me said "wow... wow,,, wow " and that's how my husband and I felt exactly.
A couple of days ago there was nozze of figaro opera at Boston Conservatory theater. It was awesome but i believe this artist is a better performer than the more beautiful one who played Cherubino!
@ToFSIMS While I agree the Maria Ewing performance is stellar in the voice and acting categories, Rinat Shahman plays Cherubino perfectly! She looks the part completely, and acts it very well, with wonderful expression in her voice. This performance is also a little more interesting to watch then the Maria Ewing. But, they are both amazing performances, and not easily compared.
Hello, Does anyone here know what key is this song written as (on this version)??? Please i need help 🥺 I just started music class, and on vocal performance i need to sing this song, but i feel the key i was given waa way too high (too flutey sonding, almost like the voice at Mozards Queen of the Night) I love Voi che sapete in wathever key is this interpretation on!
@egraceq .Thanks for the comment. I was basing my earlier comment solely on the voice quality and to a lesser extent on acting. But after all, it is only one video and it is difficult for me to determine how much the voice quality is enhanced by the recording vs. actual singer's voice quality. I agree that Rinat Shahman sang very well and acted the part perfectly, only thing I did like a bit less was the flourish at the end, which is a deviation from the score, I think.
Roger Propes I know it ...but never seen,to be honest. This is somethimg like a homework to do,but never done. Finally,I always look at the same favourite operas again, and again, and again...the thing is...I never get bored .Do you know what I mean?
@@mariafernandez5460 Actually this is not my favorite Mozart opera, the music is too uniform and restrained, or classical in style, throughout. Also note that she alters or improvises the ending of the conventional aria where the final phrase should be repeated
